This is One of Arizona‘s little hidden gems. Well that is If you like sunsets by campfire at a Lakeside bar with a friendly staff. However It is in Buckeye. Though Buckeye is one of America’s fastest growing cities ATM so I imagine this little venue is going to be growing beautifully in the next couple years. Keep your eyes out for it.

Great addition to Buckeye!Well, the Lake, has always been there, but it was a dump! Whomever took over is doing a great job! The road leading into Hidden Lake, can use some work. Maybe put in asphalt and some lighting, but overall it isnt bad. I went today for a event they were hosting and only had to pay 5 bucks per vehicle!! They have neat restrooms, vip seating areas that you can rent. Live music, a bar, food trucks, corn hole, firepit, heated lamps. Sooo cute and fun. I also noticed, its available to rent for weddings and such! Its cute! I love it.. Needs a few more improvements, but I am sure they will get there...

I love this hidden little gem. Its always so quiet and nice out there. Richard and his family have done a lot of good things to that lake.I really like that they have entertainment out there on some weekend, and most of all. I love that the whole family can go and enjoy themselves.

A beautiful hidden Gem in the west valley. Very friendly staff with amazing accommodations to support your needs from relaxing scenic views to fireside chat. They are also well equipped to support your venue needs from weddings to ultimate bachelor party but still keeping with the great recreational needs of the great outdoors. Bathrooms we top shelf competing with facilities you would see at the Phoenix Waste Management Open with greens keeper passes. Good beer on tap and nice selection of wine. Food truck dining also is a pleasant suprise. Whether your just looking for a quick get away from the city for some award winning fishing or just want to watch the sunset lakeside this is the place.

Went there with my father and nephew in winter, didnt catch anything and they say they would hook us up when the weather got warmer. When the weather got warmer I emailed them multiple times asking if they will still follow through with it, but never got a response. So not worth it in my opinion.

This lake used to be a complete dump, but thanks to its new owners the place looks absolutely stunning now. They are constantly improving it as well and I cant wait to see what it will look like 10 years from now.Entrance into the lake is kinda expensive, but I believe it is worth the price I pay. It makes me think the money I give is being used to make it even better than it is now. There are Bass, Tilapia, Crappie & Catfish in the lake. (At least I think?) Hah! I havent had amazing luck catching fish here, just a few bass and tilapia, but many others have. I know they are out here.Overall, I would recommend this lake! Bring some shade, somewhere to sit and some water.

The owners where awesome. It was a hot day but good fishing. A few bites for me and my brother in law caught a monster cat on a spinner bait. Places to sit if people you bring do not want to fish. Some shadeded areas to get out of the sun incase you want cool down after a nice catch. Night fishing would be an awesome option. No cons all pros. Def will be back to fish again.

Our family went Saturday, 3/9/19. Great experience! Let me start by saying the view is nothing short of STUNNING! They have family games so bring the whole bunch! They have a nice bar area where you can get adult drinks and kid drinks. They had a 4 pack of smores for $6. We will buy that every time we come as we found that to be such a fair price. Their hot chocolate was fairly priced as well. The only draw back, they need a smoking area. Yes I know its outside but for those who watch their health, the kids that run around and people who have asthma, it would be nice to have a smoking area off somewhere. If you are the owner reading this, please consider. Other than that, Ive posted on my Facebook and an getting the word out. Great place!!!

This place is cool and the people are nice, but for $50 youre out of your mind for fishing access from a boat. I could go to any Lake in the state of Arizona and stay there for a couple of days at that price. I understand there are big fish in here and you are paying to have access to premium waters, but you cant even swim in the water here, its still small, and the wind out there gets horrific. Cool place, nice people, but you guys are out of your minds for that price.

Really cool place well setup looks like it has a pretty good fish population with Tilapia Largemouth carp and catfish. Problem is me and my buddy went there with just two personal flotation tubes and it cost us $60. Only one fish was caught good size fish, and their whole thing is that they preach Quality over quantity. Personally $60 for one fish not anywhere near worth it. This place would be exploding if it was $20 to launch your boat, I would be here every single week regardless of how the fishing was going. Instead its $30 to launch your boat and $15 for every person in the boat

I think we would rather drive to lake pleasant for 7 a car then 15 per person. Especially since I dont fish, i read while my hubby does. In fairness he didnt charge this time for 15 per person so that was cool. But ahhh we wanted to support local but that cost. Ehhh.

I got out here very often and let me tell you on top of the people that own and run the place are amongst some of the nicest and most generous people I know but the fishing out here is insane i’m talking about 8 to 14 pound bass my pb was 9.8 lbs so far They have huge catfish as well when the bite is on obviously fishing in Arizona you guys know that weather plays a big role in when it is a good time to go fishing people are expecting to come out here and catch fish left and right But it is just like any other place regardless of what they charge to get in is totally worth it when the bite is good You can Catch upwards to 30 fish If you want you can call ahead and ask them how the fishing is and they will give you somewhat of a report I see a lot of people complaining about the price but you can’t get mad At the prices of you don’t catch anything I strongly suggest you try this place out A few times if you don’t catch anything i’m sure you will not be disappointed also they have been working On putting in campsites and all kinds of amenities for people when they are out there they do have restrooms Tables and chairs but I would highly suggest you bring some kind of shade because there is not much shade coverage around the lake

The bass here are monsters. Used to fish here before this cool renovation and yes the smallest bass I caught there was 3lbs. They average 4-5lb and I personally have seen bass over 10lb on a Rat-L-Trap fished grinding the bottom at this lake. Yes, 10lbs!! They can be tough to catch because they focus on the abundant shad here. Did best when it was extremely cold because they eat things besides shad during those times. Match the hatch and focus on shad imitations. Good luck you will probably get your personal best bass here if you can figure them out!*Just a note on some interesting history on this lake from what I was told by a sheriff a few years ago. The lake was an aggregate mine for concrete material. Being in a river bed, the shallow open pit mine will flood naturally and the water is pumped out. They will dig a deeper section to concentrate the water for pumping. A good clue, as there will be a significantly deeper area somewhere in the lake. The fish were introduced naturally after the river flooded sometime in the 1960s. After the flood receded, several fish remained in the lake and were cutoff from the nearby river. Luckily, there was some shad and other baitfish in the mix and over decades the ecosystem was created. What is amazing, is this particular lake really thrived. As the Sheriff told me, the lake was owned by Cemex, one of the largest concrete producers in the world. Just so happens the owner of Cemex is an avid fisherman and actually prized these lakes in Buckeye. Who knows if he had a hand in stocking it with shad or doing other enhancements in the past, but this place sure produces big bass.Recently they have really improved this lake by the looks of it and I am sure they have made it an EVEN BETTER little trophy fishery. The boulders on the shore now will probably really give the shad great spawning opportunities. A great idea to turn this place from the former dumping and shooting grounds into the safe and beautiful place it is now. When I think of this place I think of an episode of Bill Dance where hes fishing some private farm pond filled with 10lbers. Cool thing is though this place was like that naturally in the middle of the desert for over 50 years before they even touched it, quite amazing.
