Went to check this place out today and its great. Ill miss the 200 yard rifle range from Gunsmoke but the facilities are much better, and any range having steel is always a bonus. A 50 yard rifle range for zeroing is VERY welcome.I got no complaints, this place is great and Ill be returning for sure!

Went out on a Saturday. Great owners and staff. First time out and everything was explained well. My son and I had a blast shooting steel plates. They have a 25 and 50 yard pistol/rifle range which is perfect for cast lead reduced load rifles. Hard to find a 50 yd range close. Ive found it now and will return.

After a three trips out to the range and visiting with the staff for a little while each time I am very comfortable recommending them to any shooter. They have a healthy outlook on range safety. They are polite, friendly, and helpful. They dont time your visit in minutes, and you wont need hip waders to change targets. Maybe good boots, but they dont have to be rubber. Best outdoor range in Brazos Valley.

Cool guys work there, double taps, controlled rapid fire, holster draw and steel targets. just a quick drive from College Station/Bryan, TX. rifle and pistol ranges but I only shot pistol that day I went. They have a cool store in town. This is a no frills range just awesome and functional. shaded areas for the hot sunny days.

My experience with marksman academy so far has been fantastic. I bought a couple magazines from them at the expo center gun show in Bryan. They gave me a great deal! A month later I went and tried out there range. Great price, clean range and a great emphasis on safety with the possibility of even greater potential if they clear out and reopen the area where they once had for trap and skeet. They would have to kick me off the range if that ever happened. Haha! Felt like a mix of the solidarity you get from shooting in the deep woods and a down to earth friendly atmosphere of, hey thats a nice gun! Wanna shoot it! Nice lady there working in the shop named Penny who was very helpful and knowledgeable on answering any questions I had. I look forward to having more great experiences and doing future business with them.

Nice facility, Prices make it 3 instead of 5. Probably wont go near as much, was a member, still went a lot after my membership. The prices used to be affordable, but now they are to expensive for me. Nice range, nice people, but the range fee alone is what it used to cost me in gas+range fee to go shooting.

Great place, friendly staff. Common sense and safety is applied here, which is a huge plus. One reasonable, flat rate for the day makes this place affordable and fun. I will be recommending this range!

Ive consistently had a good experience at Marksman. I for one am glad they dont allow tannerite...its very distracting when you are trying to work up a load, or zero in a rifle. Sure its fun, but it can detract from the experience of others if its not used considerately. Management has always been pleasant and helpful, and put safety at the forefront as it should be.

This is a neat little place. My husband and I went there for our anniversary in November. It was their day off, but the owner told us hed let us and a group of us come and shoot. No fees, just had to pay for targets and extra ammo if we needed it (and we totally needed it). We ended up staying for half the day! It might be a little ways out of town, but its a great place to bring your firearms and shoot the day away! Well definitely be going back.

Neat little range that is still working to develop more amenities for guests while still offering facilities to use while they grow. They offer the chance to shoot steel targets which is pretty unique in my experience and it was really fun.Super friendly people and I look forward to seeing what they develop out there.

To bad I cant give zero stars. Ive been to this place for the first and last time. Owner was very nice when he took my money. Once the transaction was completed he began to talk down to me as if I was some kind of idiot. Im all about gun safety as well, having served in the military for 24 yrs. I tried to calm him down with polite responses this just seemed to get him going again. I found several rounds of live ammunition of different calibers laying around the range as well. This place will never get another dollar from me.

Great place for your CHL class. Nice outdoor range. Good people that run it, been in business for a long time. And they are an FFL dealer, so they can take care of all your buying needs.

I love this place but they will kick you out if you are dumb. Thats a good thing at a range.

Kinda pricey, don’t really see why I have to qualify on the 25 to shoot the 100. Not my fault you didn’t make the berm big enough. As for the cleanliness of the place when I was there it needed some cleaning, says to not pick up brass, but hell, saw some live rounds floating around. Target stands needed to be tended to as well.I think I’ll take my business else where, rather go to an indoor range where they keep it clean. And don’t leave buckets of brass just laying around.Edit: had it at 2 stars (thought there might be potential) and dropped it to one after reading how he treated a previous customer who was military. Disgusting behavior.
