Hands down best bow shop I’ve ever been in. I live in Houston and pass 4 bow shops to come here for the amazing work they do on our bows. My wife just recently purchased a new Hoyt from here and these guys made sure that her bow was tuned and fit her to perfection as well as setting up her arrows to the same standards. Their knowledge on archery is far more than any other bow shop I’ve ever been in and much more friendly and personal. I highly recommend this shop and couldn’t imagine using anyone else!

Rude employees. It was my first time visit and an employee was sitting behind the counter and did not seem to be engaged with anyone. I simply asked if they offered the service of reducing draw weight on a compound bow. He answered my question then walked from behind the counter to another customer and apologized on my behalf as if I had some how rudely interrupted. He was not currently with the customer when I asked the question and appeared to be doing nothing at the time. It was not my intention to jump the line. I would rather never use a bow then go back. He made me feel small for no reason at all.

Strike 3. Third time being in there. Third time being disappointed. Employees just refused to engage. Wouldn’t help with my setup. Wouldn’t sell me a new one. Not exactly sure how they make money but I guess I have to go somewhere else.

I went there to get my bow restrung and tuned, the strings came in late, which is no big deal. But when I got home to shoot bare shafts, the arrows were coming out sideways. I’ve done what I can with very little knowledge to get the arrows to straighten up, but I ran out of windage on my rest and the arrows still aren’t shooting straight off my bow. I can visibly see the knock on my arrow kicking way right out of my bow. I won’t be back. The only positive is they are friendly but I wasted my money going there.

Tried to get a bow string. Gave me the wrong dimension but otherwise very knowledgeable fellows here. I learned a lot just by being here a half an hour.

I’ve bought 2 bows from LIve Oak Archery. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The first bow I bought I dropped while hoisting it down the try during my stand exit. John took the bow and has been working on the warranty. I didn’t even have to call the manufacturer. They are taking care of everything. Other staff is great.

Pretty nice place. Much cheaper range fee than gander mountain if you plan to shoot more than an hour. Heck, I got my first Robin Hood there. Nice people too, they will take care of you.

I went in here with a friend that shoots regularly. It was really cool to see all the archery stuff. The staff was friendly and answered all of my many questions. We talked about the endurance of the bows, different shooting techniques, and such things. The shooting range is completely indoors. They have spare arrows if you need, large targets, fans to keep the air moving, and a FPS machine anyone can use. Very cool.

Knowledgeble, friendly and helpful staff. I bought a Genesis youth bow for my grandson six weeks ago and had them hold it for me. They recognized me when I brought the eight year old in to pick it up. They got the bow quickly checked out and then Quaid went with us to the range in back and spent probably thirty minutes helping my grandson to become familiar with his new bow. We enjoyed the experience. I recommend Live Oak Archery as a place to go for quality equipment, service and advice.
