We were here for a couple quick games and it was a pretty run down rink. I am sure it has been around for a long time, but could use some upgrades and invest money back into it. Home to Saint Ignatius hockey team and there always fun to watch play. I cant speak to the pool or anything else as we were just there for hockey.

Great staff and programming for the whole family. The yoga instructors are great for all levels and Thursday nights with Janice are the best.

No pro shop, but decent ice. I have never been to the pool side of the rec center. they have a hockey program that is pretty good fro. What I know. Handicap accessible.

The first city recreation center among the Cleveland suburbs, this center features a hockey rink, large swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, cardio room, weight room, exercise classes and is available to rent for parties. Not the fanciest or most beautiful compared to some of the newer suburban centers, but this is a good community asset, with great rates for Brooklyn residents.

I give it 2 stars because the pools are large enough to have enough space for everyone to enjoy without being on top of each other. Perhaps I went on a day that wasnt so busy so that was nice. The outside pool was a bit dirty but I guess thats normal they should clean it more often if they dont. But the customer service is just plain awful!! I am not from the area at all. I live about 40 minutes away. But my friend told me about it because I like checking out new areas for swimming and like looking at different places. I frequent this area for work a lot too. After work, I like to go swimming and since Im in the area. I figured why not? But The lady at the registration was awfully rude. Not polite at all. She seemed angry. Also, I had sent them an email before about lessons there and the lady writing the email seemed to have an attitude as well!. Rude and unprofessional. I dont know who the manager is but they should keep a closer look at their staff! Some of these people shouldnt even be working if they cant be respectful!! The only reason they get a two star as I said is that the facility is okay but the people working there seriously need an attitude adjustment!.

10yrs ago this place was great, 5stars surely. Now not so much. One problem after another. This year I signed my girls up for softball. Was told I would get a phonecall or email. I was fine with it. They play every year. When summer was just about starting and didnt hear anything I called and was told games started last week but their team was cancelled due to not enough players. When I complained that they waited so long to get back to anyone there would be no time to get them into any other activities. The manager offered to refund my mom ney and place them in cheerleading at a discounted rate. So I agreed. When we showed up for the first class I was informed they cancelled the older kids class and placed them in the younger one. So here my 12 and 13 year old daughters are in a class with 3,4, and 5year olds. They felt so embarrassed I didnt take them back after day 1.

Nice place for ice skating. All the coaches and the volunteers have a great attitude, and work their hearts out with the kids. Boxes are a little untidy. Gums and discarded food in number of areas. Other than boxes, area is neat and clean. Admin staff is always nice and welcoming as well. Thanks.

I love their water aerobics classes. The instructors, Joann and Sandy, are good to get you going and the people are very friendly. A great way to get your exercise.!

This rec center is not run properly. You can never swim in the 13 foot pool anymore. I asked them. To open the 13 foot side of the pool . They said no we dont have enough staff. But there is always 3 or 4 life guards sitting around on their phones . They closed the weight room and cardiovascular room for swim meets which is ridiculous. This place has in my opinion the worst management team in the world. I do not recommend this rec center to anyone. They need to make better use of their facility.

I ice skated at this public rink for many years through the 80s and 90s. This was my home rink when I was a figure skater. I was very excited to take my niece and nephew with my brother and his girlfriend for an open skate on a Sunday recently. Perhaps its my fault and should have called to double-check that open skate was still in session but I drove 40 minutes only to be told that there was no open skate that day and that they had practice or lessons for hockey. It was only an hour open skate too. Quite a bummer

This placed used to be the best mediocre rec center around Ive been going for over 20 years.now there rediculous.you have to be 12 and over to play with a pool noodle.they kept blowing the whistle pretty much every twenty seconds.they are just too weird with these rules.and now they dont allow beverages from home even of u have post workout or if you buy from THEIR vending machines.my 5 year old got tired of it.

I absolutely love the Silver Sneakers yoga class at 9:30 am and appreciate that its available Monday, Wednesday, Friday. It has been so very helpful; the instructor is good at keeping a flow of movement. I would recommend it for anyone working through physical therapy.

They have good equipment in the weight room and plenty of treadmills to use. But they need to work on their maintenance when it comes to the showers. Gnats buzzing around even in the winter time, its ridiculous! And the non resident fee is a bit pricey but hey gotta try keeping some of the undesirables away. Plus some ofnthe workers seem to play favorites with patrons.

I love this place me and my 6 month old come here every Thursday. its clean, and right next door. But They could pick nicer ppl to work there so 4 stars

This is my go to place for relaxing. It has a steam room,suana , and wurlpool. Some complain that its not clean, i disagree. Somedays it can be a bit worn,this should be expected in a public swimming area with alot of use. Mostly i enjoy the large area with few people around. Unlike big gyms that are over crowded.

They need some renovations but the facility is great

Didn’t enjoy my visit at Brooklyn rec. I took a 2 year old and a 4 year old to go to their open swim (1pm-5pm) Well when we first got there , I paid the $9 fee for not being a resident which is fine. Me and the girls walked through the this glass hallway where the sun was beaming down on us. When we walked in the locker rooms , I honestly didn’t want to put my bags in them. They were rusted and filthy. When we got to the pool . The shallow side was 4 ft, so the girls couldn’t stand in the water so I brought floatys. I was told I was unable to use them.. Fine... so we stayed along the steps and I noticed they have floatys. I asked the guard if we were able to use them so one of the girls can float while I carry the other one , he said no. So we continued to just stay on the steps for about and hour or so. The water was freezing so we decided to get out and get our towels. The girls asked to put their feet in the hot tub that was there , and we were told they were not allowed. This place needs a renovation and to be more kid friendly. Unless your paying them to get swim lessons for the kids, there no point of bringing them. I didn’t enjoy our experience.

We were here for hockey practice. Looks like a nice rink with very nice seating. Nothing was going on so there were no concessions or anything. Seems clean.

The pool and all exercise equipment are top rate ! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful ! Best rec center in Cuyahoga county.

This place is extremely disgusting as far as sanitation goes. The steam rooms smell horrible and the locker rooms are awful! Someone needs to start doing a better job at cleaning up this place. The last time I took a shower, I remember flys flying all over the place.

Staff is pretty rude and Ill informed. Called to ask for prices on something and was told its whatever the regular rate is and that would be? I dont know everyone behind the counters is busy on their phones and dont care about you.
