Awesome freestyle retro style skate rink. Theres a food stand and tables to sit at and eat and enjoy the atmosphere. So much fun and family friendly. Popular hang out spot for kids and young adults.

We LOVE Skateland & are bummed they had a fire. My older kids have gone on weekends for many many years as a great way to interact in a safe environment. We had my youngests birthday party there & they were excellent!

Great place. Music was good, atmosphere was good, employees were amazingly helpful. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because their bathrooms are in desperate need of updating and they seem to not have enough supplies to keep up with the demand of kids who are skating for the first time and need one of those walkers. Other than that they are awesome. Prices are great too.

Awesome rink! Been to many rinks and nothing compares to this rink. Music is always good. One of the skate ushers took the extra time before session started and gave my very beginner daughter some great tips on helping her skate.

Our family has skated here for years. My parents were regulars here and got my brother and I hooked on skating. Now, we are bringing our kids and they have started skating lessons. Awesome teaching staff! I love Retro night on Thursdays.The DJ always plays the best music to skate to. We have skated at most of the rinks in the area and nothing compares to this rink. The skating floor is very well kept and I believe is the largest in the area. Prices are reasonable.

I dislike the place. But I dont hate it. The skate guard was very strict. Every time someone did something wrong, he would scream at them. He would sometimes (not often) make threats to kick people off the skate floor if they werent doing something right. The DJ is very rude. When someone would ask a request, he would respond like this. NO. I DO NOT TAKE REQUESTS. LEAVE ME ALONE AND GO SKATE . In a very rude tone. The food clerks were ok. But they werent the best. I dont even trust the lockers. They look unsafe and very dirty. Games are rigged. The seats and tables are always messy. The reason why Im giving it 2 stars and not 1 is because of the food. The food is good. Overall, the place is not good at all. I havent had anything with the roller skate clerk because I bring my own skates. I dont trust their skates. If you want to go skating, go to the skating place in Brunswick. They are a good place. Overall, this place is not good at all.

We drive in 2 hours to skate their 70s 80s night. There are no rinks left in our area of Pennsylvania that have decent sessions anymore. This rink is the BEST! Their skating surface is large and well kept. Their DJ does a fantastic job playing for the crowd and keeps us jammin. There are songs I have not heard since my childhood, skating in rinks. It was great to see they still do the Cleveland flea hop. I do wish they would not rent those kid skate walkers during a session that is primarily an adult session, or keep those with them in the center or along the wall of the rink. Always a great time.

We came this past Sunday June 10th to be exact.Lady in charge of floor needs some lessons in manners! We were having a good time till she rudely asked us to leave the floor. Will not return and will find another rink that can treat customers in a proper manner!

Really cool old school roller skating rink. The school I teach at had an end if year party there. The staff were awesome, and the kids had an awesome time!!!

This place is great! The DJ plays awesome music and creates a really fun atmosphere for my entire family. We have been going there for years and will continue to do so. Family fun at its finest!

Part 1Unwelcoming. Old fashioned. Hostile. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when someone mentions the embarrassment that is Brookpark Skateland. The owners, managers, and employees should be ashamed of themselves. They are truly some of the nastiest individuals I have ever come into contact with. For a while, roller skaters everywhere have been wondering, What happened to roller sports? Why is its popularity on the decline? Roller skating rinks like Brookpark Skateland are to blame and should be held accountable. They absolutely refuse to host any meet, any event, or teach any lesson that doesnt pertain to figure skating. Many people have asked them to host speed skating meets, or have jam skating sessions because, despite their inability to be likable, Brookpark Skateland does have one of the nicest skating surfaces that Ive ever used. However, they always refuse the suggestions because they dont want that type of crowd in their establishment. So not only are they alienating a large portion of their potential clientele, they are also going against the grain of the most standard business model: bring in customers, have those customers return, and have those return customers bring new customers with them. You dont need a degree in business management to understand this simple concept, yet the people working at Brookpark Skateland would rather kick paying customers out for skating too aggressively than have a successful business and a positive image. The Thursday night session is intended for the adult crowd, yet the floor guard who works during that session is the textbook definition of an arrogant narcissist with a power complex. If skaters do anything other than stare straight ahead and continue moving in a monotonous circle, here he comes, flying down the floor, blowing his whistle, screaming, threatening to throw you off the floor, which I have seen him do countless times.

So much fun! Its a workout for sure but its fun. The floor is in good shape. Concessions, Pro Shop. Birthday Parties. Cash Only!

This skating rink needs a lot. First off, the parking lot.needs resurfaced, there was no air conditioning and it just needs some general upkeeping. The skate rink itself however seemed in good shape.

My son and I love going to Thursdays retro skate night. Its a little hot in the summer but great for getting out of the house in the winter.

Everyone who works at this rink is unfriendly and honestly kind of mean! The DJ plays the same songs over and over again and acts like its a huge deal whenever someone makes a request! He sometimes even hangs a sign up that says no requests during this session. What DJ does that?? Also the adult night floor guard is obviously insecure and thats why he likes to kick everyone off the floor! Wont be back

Looks exactly the same as it did 25 years ago. Im not sure if thats good or bad. Took my kids there and they had a blast. Other kids there were there to skate wich is good. Well go back often.

The prices are acceptable. Rink is not big, in good condition. You can selebrate your kids birthday here. They play music all the time, and know how to entertain public. We had a lot of fun, it was our first time there and 45 min. was enough for us. I will be back.

Love skating with kids or myself.. but last visit me and my sister spent $170 with 9 kids teenagers there have no respect were actually pushing down 4,5,6 year old down and laugh about it manager wouldnt even give us refund or vouchers for next time since he did 4 fix the problem for my nieces birthday.. but knew the kids say they do it all the time.. should of kicked the kids out for causing problems not have our party of 15 leave .. ignorant and foul mouths in front of little kids !!

Really big open floor. But didnt like that I had to skate backwards inside the small little loop in the middle. Other then that great place to skate!

Had a Wed evening birthday for my daughter. Everyone had a good time.

First time being here since I was a child. The place seemed clean. They also had a lot more security than I remember as a kid. My friend and I were concerned about takin our boy ages 6 & 9 on a Saturday night but the security was a big plus and I loved they they had staff on the floor so if a child fell someone was there to help them up and prevent further injuries from other skaters. Over all I was very satisfied with our time there. I do think $11.50 is a bit pricey though, especially for a young child.

If youre thinking about visiting this rink once or twice, go for it. The skating floor is large and usually well-maintained. However, I used to be a regular skater here and there a lot of perverts and very rude people working here! The owners refuse to take constructive criticism and coming here on a regular basis just sucks!

I, my boyfriend, and his ten year old son came here (7-5-18) and while my boyfriend was on the skating floor turned around waiting for his son who was struggling to skate, the floorguard who works on Thursday nights literally yelled at my boyfriend for skating backwards while on the skating floor. I have skated here for years and am well aware of the rules; this confrontation was rude and completely uncalled for. After yelling at my boyfriend, this floorguard proceeded to SKATE BACKWARDS on the skating floor while having a conversation with what Im assuming was one of his friends. The floor guard who works on Thursday nights regularly treats the customers with anger and hostility and threatens to kick people out, and its one of the reasons I dont skate here anymore.

A clean large and professional rink with a competitive artistic skate club and offering lessons from world class skaters.This is not a speed or derby environment and although all types of skaters are always welcomed, you probably wont find what your looking for if that is your interest. Its mainly an artistic figure rink.This isnt like a the old USA rinks where everyone just goes crazy and is all over the floor in every direction and kids are flopping and laying everywhere and youre running over Cheetos on the floor. They are strict yes, but frankly it keeps the crowd in line.If you expect to come here and act up, break the safety rules and trash the place ... as in going backwards during forward skate ect (rules are there for YOUR protection) then yes you will be firmly told to stop and possibly kicked off the floor. They dont tolerate unsafe behavior or disregard for the safety rules whatsoever.This may seem harsh and rude, but Ive seen many of these types that are complaining on here leave crying in an ambulance and a backboard/collar because they think the rules are all a big joke and on top of it are inexperienced at skating. A bad combo. You can get seriously injured on skates.

The owners and employees of Brookpark Skateland are rude, hostile, indignant, and just downright nasty people. Whenever skaters make song requests, the DJ either lies about not having certain songs or tells skaters to pick something else. The Thursday night session floor guard is very aggressive and insecure, and always threatens to throw everyone off the floor. Whenever someone tries to write a negative review on their social media pages they delete it, and their response to multiple complaints from patrons was to hang a sign that says, My house, my rules. Very rude people!!

Its the best send your kids here Im a skater that goes every Friday and Saturday they dont take bs. Its a place where kids can learn to skate have fun have birthday partys. kids with ADHD like me skating acts like a stress reliever and I like to go fast but I love this place it serves the biggest place in my heart.

Terrible. Brough my family that was visiting from Florida and we all had a horrible experience. Not one pleasant employee in the building. Very bossy and rude. I understand there are rules but there is a right way to enforce them. Lady at the snack bar needs a lesson in friendly customer service. Talk about bitter. We will never return.

Went to rink for a birthday party, and dispite the fact there was no air conditioning we had a great time. The kids loved the music & had alot of fun !! Would recommend it for any age party.

I have been going there from the age of 13. To 26. But after what happend yesterday I have no respect for this place !!! had my sons 8th birthday party there 2 24 18. And let me just say Over capacitated and little kids dont mix. They did everyone there having a party dirty. I had paid for 10 kids. They gave us one little table right on top of one another so all the partys was Colliding Horribly no space whats so ever kids falling all over us . Its was a night mare Im pretty sure everyone was u9 happy. I would never do that as a bunisses to people having birthday partys. Alot of people g or hurt they filled that place up to the rim and made it ever stressful to all the paying customers !!!! By far worst place to have Party at my name Heather my son is Brian

I would RATE them ZERO. My mother & I and my 3 kids made ourselves have a good time in a very unfriendly environment. The People who work at this place are extremely Prejudice against Blacks and anyone of color. Referring to me as African American to my White Mother really upset my poor mom. & she told me he was the owner of the place!Great job Butch! Not only are you extremely OLD. YOUR RUDE AND RACIST. Your time on earth is ticking fast, better get right with GOD. Treating people like that will only hurt you in the long run.. Karma will hit you 10x worse! Speaking to me extremely disrespectful for no reason, SMFH. Hadnt even paid to get in yet and a very rude lady pretty much yelled at us about my 2 toddlers wearing their skates coming in the door... Look-NOT A BIG DEAL PEOPLE.. She claimed their skates would ruin their ragedy skate floor.. In which when I got to skate on this so-called Gold floor I saw that it was in need of maintenance.. There were scratches and nicks and it was far from shiny.. Not like we were gonna come straight in and go skate instantly when we wanted to put our bags down and get settled and I had to rent skates myself.. So we didnt actually get on the floor until 15-20 minutes after we came in. Where are all the good skating rinks in NE Ohio??? Fun, easy-going, retro roller rink? More like bizarre cesspool teeming with moody old folks and child predators. Ive been a regular skater here for about 6 - 7 years and the only reason I still spend time and gas driving to this portal into the Twilight Zone is because the skating floor is large and well-maintained. (Except, of course, for the random, odd periods of time when they forget how to dust and sweep the floors!) The owners and staff of Brookpark Skateland must have some form of Alzheimers or dementia and think that theyre still living in the 1940s, which is evident in the mind boggling way this place is run. From unfriendly, sexist old ladies who sit at the front door, working as cashiers, who instructed a male floor guard to tell me that I was dressed inappropriately because my bra strap was visible, (thats right folks, a BRA strap) to perverted old men who hand out the rental skates and like to grab my hand and make disgusting comments toward me, this rink has it all! In 6 - 7 years Ive witnessed middle aged, married floor guards who have an affinity for flirting with and touching 14 year olds, old skating instructors who attempt to disguise their perversions toward children as simply trying to help them learn how to skate whenever physically possible, one of these instructors trying to be discrete (but failing) while recording children doing the chicken dance during a Saturday morning session, and even a laughably disgusting regular skater who went through a phase where he liked to make sexual noises at me whenever I passed by or made crude comments about my ass. One might be able to look past the extensive number of pedophiles working here if skating at this rink was actually enjoyable, but due to a DJ who must either hate his life or his job and who continuously plays his monotonous collection of the shittiest songs ever recorded week after week despite hundreds of complaints, and a floor guard who might just be Adolf Hitler reincarnated and who has some type of a god/power complex and gets off by yelling at grown adults during the Thursday night session, having fun here is simply a dream that may never come true! When the old men who regularly skate here arent forming lines behind young girls, theyre scheming amongst themselves about who theyre going to coerce into skating a couples song with them, and when the DJ isnt subjecting us to Dancing Queen for the twentieth year in a row, hes angrily hanging up his endearing little No Requests During This Session sign. Its honestly just a sad shame that they have such a beautiful, large skating floor, which is pretty much unheard of in northeast Ohio, yet they seem to lack passion for music, good times, and quality customer service.

Never will return again! Brought group of kids for club recreation. For 180.00 we got 20 slices of pizza two pitchers of pop and an hour of skating for 27 people. The negative attitude from the staff was horrible. Food was horrible. Credit card not accepted at food concession. 16oz pop is 1.75! A 4 inch square of pizza is 2.75! Very very very disappointed!
