Bridgton Historical Society sponsored a talk by an excellent storyteller at their 5-star historic site.

This isolated farm has spectacular views of the White Mountains. The Peabody Fitch farm is a marvelous example of an early Bridgton mixed use farm. Maps available for the woodland trail to the granite quarry where the foundation of the house was taken in the 1790s. The 1830 Temperance Barn is a must see. Check the Bridgton Historical Society website for details of when the house is open for tours.
