Great hidden gem of a trail in Kitsap County. On a clear day you can see all of downtown Seattle and the mountains.

Nice trail for a smooth hike. Went with some friends and family. There is a short cut following the power lines (some what steep climb) but there is a cool truck door just sitting near a tree on the path. Pretty cool for pics. Well maintained trails as well.

This was a nice hike, with a good clear trail. There was a really very nice view coming up the Gold Creek Trail. I would like more maps, or more markers for the side trails, but it would be hard to get lost up there.

Went on a hike here and took the Davis trail when it forked, it was very easy and quiet. We started at around 10:30 in the morning and there were definitely more people by noon-ish. All in all its a nice place, I want to go back and do the Gold Creek Trail next time.

This is a great place to go for an all-day hike. The Gold Creek trail is all up-hill, medium difficulty. There are many other trails that intersect Gold Creek such as Wild Cat Lake Trail, Beaver Pond, and Plummer. There are many dirt roads to hike on also. Just beware of ATVs and dirt bikes.I come here a lot and Im always able to find new trails and sights. If you go to the very top of Gold Creek (Horse Camp Vista) on a clear day, you can see Seattle.

I liked the trails, views of small falls and deep forests and mountaintop vistas. The slopes were a surmountable challenge. I will come back and take the whole Davis, Gold Creek loop.

What a great hike. There are lots of trails here, but if you stick to the Gold Creek Trail youll make it to the top. Its about 2.5 miles to the top from the parking lot. Youll need a discover pass for the parking lot. Its about 1000 ft of elevation gain.

Gorgeous views, easily accessible. Took us an hour 45 minutes from gold creek trail parking lot to the summit and that was a little slow. Only downside is that nearly the entire hike does not have expansive views so you wouldnt know a difference from any other trail for most of the hike.

Great little mini hike. About. 1000 ft of elevation. Gold creek trail ends and vista trail continues up to the peak. Can also head to the GC campground or make it loop with other trails. Has a nice view of Seattle and surrounding area. The neighboring Gold Mountain has a 360 view of the area if you scramble up the summit and is accessed via the same parking lot (trail head just behind the toilets and map)

Great trails that are well marked. BUY THE DISCOVER PASS BEFORE YOU GO.I didn’t know I needed one and tried to buy it on my phone when I got there but I kept getting an error message. I left a note but still got a ticket Hence, the three stars.Other than that the trail was great. Ran the whole loop.

Great riding area. For advanced riders, experts...no place for beginners! Challenging steep stuff with rocks and roots. Off the main trails are technical trails and challenge sections. The riding community tries to especially stay off the main trails during nice sunny weekend days to give the hikers a little more unrivaled use. I find the hikers and mtn bikers there to be very friendly and understanding that this place has been a dirt bike haven for many decades.

Went to go see if the trail was any good today, found out it was closed because of the covid. Ran into who I am assuming is trail manager or someone that takes care of it at least, bald white guy in a silver dodge, while I was reading the sign that had been posted and he yelled at me saying, what the f*** is so hard to understand? It is closed. Safe to say that I dont recommend this trail if that guy is around. I imagine it is a rather beautiful trail nonetheless.

We were impressed with this trail. There were a lot of cars on a Holiday weekend but we only saw a few other hikers while on the trail. The creeks were beautiful with small waterfalls and ponds throughout. The trails were well maintained. The trail does have some puddles of standing water and very minor washout, but it cannot be helped due to the clay soil and weather. In fall/winter you would want some waterproof boots. Lots of wild animals to watch if you are the quiet hiker type.

Great place to hike and bike. The mixed use trail can be a little scary with hikers, horses, mountain bikers, motorized bikes and sharp corners. Seasonally it can be quite wet and muddy. So, between the horse piles and the mud, its good to watch your step. Great 2-2.5 hour roundtrip hike to the vista point. I recommend bringing a map, since the logging roads make it confusing at times.

St
Review №47

The trails are a bit tangled, but it has some amazing views for such a short hike. Apparently there is a high car prowler issue, so make sure everything goes with you and nothing is of value sitting in the car. No issues while I was there. The view of Seattle is pretty fantastic at the top. Pack a small lunch and have a pick nick at the top! Stone tables and a great place to get away for the day. Lots of mud on the trail if it has been raining, so bring good hiking shoes or trail runners. Ended up walking a bit over 5 miles on the trails. Also Discover Pass is required unless you park in the couple of spaces outside the park.

A great escape from the crowds during the Seattle Summer weekends. Plenty of options for all abilities. As with most trails, the farther you go out, the less folks around.Green Mountain Loop (8 miles) Gold Creek Trail > Vista Trail > Wildcat Trail > Beaver Pond Trail > Gold Creek TH. Offers views of Mount Rainier, Seattle, Puget Sound, Olympics.Loop is exposed in a few parts, but the route is marked well.

Such a great place to day hike. The distance from this trailhead to the top is about 2.3 miles give or take. Majestic views of the Bremerton valley and Seattle from the top. Picnic tables available to take a break or eat lunch. Trails allow horseback riding and motorbike riding. It is not difficult but there a tons of loose rocks along the path so be careful to avoid twisted ankles. Hiking sticks recommended.
