Illahee State Park offers some of the most stunning fall scenes available within an hour ferry ride (or 30 minute walk on fast ferry) of Seattle. The park offers camping (covid restricted), rv parking and hook ups, restrooms and BBQ facilities, a boat launch, sand beach, tons of dock space, great paddle boarding access and some amazing views. I live just 3 miles from the park and am there 3-4 times a week running the trails or paddling the water. Its pet friendly, clean and well maintained, and only requires a Discover Washington Pass.

We were there for a short while to meet up with our friends who were crabbing and fishing there, but we loved it! The kids (ages 1 to 3) had a ton of fun playing on the beach. Our other friends were crabbing and fishing off the pier, they caught a TON of crabs. There are a lot of shells on the beach, fun for collecting but you should be careful if youre walking barefoot, one of my littles cut his foot. We would love to come back here to camp!

This is a great park! Awesome for kids and adults, plus there is a boat launch. There is a tiny little soup shop right across the street that makes epic home made soup and sells ice cream in the summer.

Gorgeous campground. Not much road noise at all, and each spot felt fairly private with lots of foliage between the spots. The bathrooms were very clean and had a shower. The beach was beautiful, a bit of a steep hike down there but not too far to go. Fun to watch the Bremerton ferry go by and look at the sailboats moored at the dock. Would definitely camp here again.

This park is magical! I grew up visiting and still go often. It is the last place in Kitsap where there is a grove of Old Growth trees. Beautiful beach with a dock and a boat launch too!!

Such a wonderful state park. I have seen so much wildlife here. Seals, bald eagles, flycatchers, jays, nuthatches, kingfishers... There is a nice picnic bench area that overlooks the water and you can sometimes catch a free wi-fi signal. Also, clean public bathrooms.

Nice trails, pleasant beach. Small, but a good hike around. Theres also a veterans memorial here with large ship guns. The entrance starts on top of a hill, then goes down hill towards the beach, so it can be a steep hike back up.

Has a nice view and is good for fishing and crabbing, there are oysters available to if you come at low tide. Nice little beach for the kids and its good for swimming the waters are calm. The dock is wheelchair accessible, and we always take our mini weber out and cook our crabs and whatever fish we caught for dinner right on the spot. It does get crowded and parking spaces and the pier fill up really fast on hot days.

Late in the day almost no one was there. Lots of parking and quiet. There are few hiking trails. Because of that I like the Ilahee Preserve better. But the trails are nice ones, with lots of stairs down to the water.

This was a great park boat launch camping etc.. hiking trails are great. Be prepared for steep hills lots of climbing. Stairs are built in most places. Took myself and 4 kids we had a blast. Playground has only a slide but was still fun for the littlest kiddo. Plenty of places to picnic and the cannons and Information center are great as well. Learned and had a good time exercising.

Illahee State Park is a very well maintained place... There are many trails to hike and some decent elevation changes to boot. Come to camp, come to fish, come to launch a boat, ccome to walk the heavily wooded trails... Heck, reserve one of the large roofed spots for a large family BBQ.

Beautiful... If you feel the need to get out of town but you dont want to go too far... This is it.... You can stay in the forest to cool off or you can take drive down to the water... There is places to Bbq, clean bathrooms, outside shower to rinse off, and information boards. You also do need a discovery pass. Im telling you its the best investment you can have because theres so much parks that need them... I highly recommend a DISCOVERY PASS...

It is beautiful right on the Puget Sound in Bremerton Washington. I love to hike with my sisters dogs. There are covered seating and picnic areas. Public bathrooms. Beautiful views,, lots of things to photograph. It covers a very large area. Part are primitive and other parts are picturesque and even wheelchair friendly. There are garbage cans bathrooms and runny water. Great place to have a family gathering or a work picnic.

Camping is currently closed ... Covid of course. Dock is nice. Families can be on rock/sand beach wading and playing. Fishing can be good if u happen to catch a school of salmon passing thru. Otherwise its just flounder and cabezon with occasional cutthroat trout. Ive heard of other fish being caught just havent seen it.

It’s an alright park. Needs to be updated. There are a few short trials that just loop around the center of the park. Playground needs new equipment. If you plan on going to the beach, don’t go at high tide, lol it won’t be there! Other than that, it’s not a bad place. Didn’t get to check out the camping situation, but it looked pretty tightly packed with not a lot of room between campsites. Good place for a picnic or short walk though
