Norm Macdonald was performing, so I HAD TO go to the Brea Improv despite the one and a half hour drive from LA. This location is much nicer and almost three times as big as the Hollywood Improv. I like the vibe at the Hollywood one a little better (smaller, feels like being in the audience with a group of friends), but this one is also great. The first comedian/crowd warm-up guy could do better, but he still was funny.Improv(s) actually serve pretty good food for a comedy club. This location is also no exception. They have great cocktails; even the brewed coffee they served somehow tasted pretty good! The food is of course a bit pricey. But if youre not really hungry, even their $7 fries are really good. The servers are nice and sincere. Cleanliness is top notch.

Great and exciting night out. This place gets some really great and big name comedians. Came for Rob Schneider and had a blast. Got seated at the very front with an amazing view. Venue is large but intimate. Hilarious night.Food and drinks are well priced. Other comedians were even taking pictures and hanging out at the exit after the show.Got a photo and was just a really sweet & kind extra touch.

And got to take picture with the headliner at the end of the show. Last but not least the wings are literally the best wings Ive ever had. Definitely recommend

1. The waiter that we had, I was getting annoyed with. We ordered food and drinks that was $56, and when we asked for a glass a Of water he said I have to take the orders for the other customers. It took us asking 3 times and 30 minutes to get some water after already having ordered food and drinks. I think the venue needs to talk to the staff and understand no matter what they are costumes and the staff are paid to do the job.2. The food isnt bad but paying $16 for a burger and fries is a little much, especially after paying to get in.but its the Improve and in Brea I guess.3.The venue was good and the Comedians were great.

It was my first time to the new location. I was pretty impressed with the look and feel of the new layout. The comedians they had that night I went, were on point. The waitress we had assigned to our table was polite. The service however was a bit to be desired. There were 4 at our table, our drinks came out super fast, but our appetizers (3 ordered) took 1hr and 15 minutes to come out. We ordered before the comics went on stage and it came out when the headliner was starting his act. So we were distracted with eating and attempting to pay attention to the show. We asked to speak to a manager at the end of the show, but they stated it would be roughly 20-30 minutes. We didnt want to ruin our night with more waiting. So we ended up going to another location to finish out our night.I truly hope they get it together and have faster food service.

The seating is comfortable and view, sound of the stage is great. Staff is cordial and premises are clean. Food is too salty, my Cesar salad was punny and saturated in dressing, disgusting really. Went to see Paul Rodriguez last night. Service was good, food was delicious but the seating towards the back tables is terrible. I paid to see Paul and the whole time I kept stretching my neck and tilting side to side to see a glimpse. At one point I gave up and just listened to the show. The people that were sitting on the rail that divides the lower seating from the top seating blocked our view. The lady that was sitting behind me just ended up leaving with her date because she could see less than I did.

Had a great time, great service, the food was actually pretty bomb. We had a few beers and they were served in these pretty nice cups, unless you order bottled beers. This is my 3rd time here and its been a 3rd consistent experience. Great for date night. But, what I do recommend is that you arrive early to get better seats, this place is pretty big and if you end up in the very back you will definitely wish you showed up early and had better seats. I had a pretty hard time seeing since this time we showed up late and they had a packed house.

I got to see Russell peters. Bathrooms are very clean. If you go to the bathroom during the show they are empty. If you plan on using the restroom after the show prepared to wait in line. I recommend that if you are drinking excessive amount of liquid during the show, use the restroom when they have the least funny comedian on stage. Food is served quick. They have a full bar. Beer is served quick. Wings or boneless wings are also served very quickly. Only the foods that need preparing a little more take a little more time so be patient. If you sit towards the back it’s easier to use the restroom. If you are there early you will be seated closer but you will have a hard time going towards the restroom if needed. And the comedians will see you and they will call you out on it. Other than that it is a great place and something different then the regular routine.

Was nice to go to a comedy show much closer than those in Hollywood, but the layout of the location inside leaves much to be desired. It sat many many people, and the view of the performers was blocked by many heads from most angles in the room unless you were fairly close to the front. For a building that was built for this sole purpose recently it was disappointing.

Large and well laid out venue, I have always seen great comics at any of the Improv clubs Ive been to. But I would not recommend the early show at Brea Improv if youre planning to have dinner too. The service was virtually non-existent, dont even think about getting refills - had to ask 3-4 people to get 1 refill during the 2.5hrs we were there. Just have dinner first and come to the late show for drinks, if they never come back then you dont have to worry about the 2-drink minimum. As far as comedy, Ive never had a bad experience at any Improv (even their traffic school - lol). Finally dont bother with their Groupon offers unless you live locally and can visit the box office, they use a service to sell tickets for both online and when you call in that doesnt accept them or offer any information on when they can be used. Its almost impossible to reach the box office via phone to even find out what shows are not Special Engagements which the passes dont work on.Honestly with proper staffing & service this should of been a 5-star review, my previous visit was at the old location which wasnt as nice or large, but was properly staffed.

I came here a couple days to celebrate my friends birthday by getting us a booth at the comedy club. I was highly disappointed with my recent experience especially when my family frequents this location as well as the one in Irvine. Service is usually spectacular but we had a thoughtless server who forgot parts of our order and did NOT deduct the $200 credit that was supposed to go on our bill. Let me be clear that you are required to buy 4 tickets for the booth and that every booth comes with a food and beverage credit of $200. Im not sure if she forgot to give us our credit but I dont understand how she could when its mandatory every night for every booth. She also did not take off an item from our bill that she forgot to serve us (of course). And when she finally corrected our bill she had the audacity to say the tip isnt included. I still tipped her despite all this but it completely rubbed me the wrong way. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she looked Caucasian, middle aged with dark brunette or red hair. Please retrain staff on better service.

The theater is too big and flat for general admission. so if you’re seated at the back and in the middle you’re not going to be able to see the front. You won’t be able to see the performer. You should just stay at home and watch it on Netflix. You can only hear the jokes but you would not see the performer. The service was so terrible as well. we came in a group and they took the order for the front group and did not take the order for the group at the back. It did not make sense? The food is pretty mediocre too and they’ve made us order one drink and one food.I’m sorry. I think you should drive a little further and go to the next Improv location to see the performer, or pay for VIP, or pay for general admission and get in line 3 hours earlier. My view from my seat.

I saw Iliza Shlesinger and the show was great! But man, the venues seating arrangement is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, my husband and I arrived an hour before the show started and majority of the seats were taken. We ended up sitting at the long row tables at the back. It was so hard to see the stage. All I saw were people heads. Since the whole back side of the room is one level and there are rows of seats. Also my head was turned, wasnt even facing the front of the stage (couldnt turn my chair, since it was so tight) Also, the proximity of those tables...sheesh. talk about personal space. I wasnt even able to eat comfortably, my elbows were basically touching both of my neighbors on each side.Service was okay. Food was decent. Drinks were fine. Nothing great. The only thing I did not like was that for some reason, they didnt give the whole back side of the rooms checks back(credit, debit, etc) until the end of the show. Like Iliza literally walked off stage and we all waited around 10 mins to get our cards back. Thought that was pretty ridiculous.Overall, I dont think Id want to come back unless Im truly dying to see a comedian. Otherwise, Id probably just go to the improv in Ontario.
