Great place for some all day bike riding, hiking or just a picnic in the sun. Easy to get in and out. Place is gorgeous and has epic views of the country side of Brattleboro.

Came here last fall (need to plan a trip this year). I got to hold a very cute bunny named Buckwheat. There where baby chicks that kids were able to watch and pet. Staff is very knowledgeable and the place is well kept. Went on a hayride around the farm. Got to pet a very friendly bovine. Lovely spot for kids and any animal lover.

We signed up for Saturday morning goat yoga, which was so incredible we came back the next day to see the rest of the animals! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the animals are adorable. Playing with the little piglets and twin baby goats was definitely a highlight, as was feeding Carlos! Would highly recommend, especially to groups with kids

What a great place to bring the kids! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The animals are not shy, and they can walk around freely, so you can interact with them. The wooded play area just feeds kids imaginations, with its play stations. The award winning Dosa food truck was a nice surprise. And the gift shop (though slightly overpriced) has a little something for anyone you may want to bring something home to.Cant wait to go back!

The Retreat farm was a great place to have fun and to get stress out. Like when the little piglets could just walk right out of the enclosure, and play with the people around them. The bull and his little goat friend was the highlight the goat in the hay made my morning. And that bull whoa it was 20 times the size of me! After we went down to get lunch and their were these 2 food trucks I’m a very picky person so I wasn’t sure what to get. So my brother choose for me, the food came fast and it was hot. When I tasted the food it was delicious, I couldn’t believe how great it was.

I havent been here in a few years, so when I walked into the original barn, I was redirected to the newer barns in the back where the animals are now held. I also arrived at 3:40pm not knowing that they closed at 4:00pm (I didnt look it up on Yelp first). When we arrived, the nice lady in the gift shop told us that they dont charge after 3:30pm because our time is limited, but so are the animals out for petting. We were treated to a pair of donkeys, a troth of baby chicks, three little pigs, some bunnies that were secluded due to bad behavior, and two cows who love to eat hay. All of the animals were friendly and active, and the kids had a blast in our short time there. In addition to the animals, there is a very nice wooden tractor out front for the kids to play and climb on.

WOW!!!! What a treasure! Its only about 50 minutes from Claremont, Nh! Dont know why we havent visited sooner! The animals were so sweet, friendly, and accessible! The staff was incredibly friendly and informative! LOVED the trails, the nature playground, and the cheese store next door was an added bonus! The cost was surpisingly affordable! We will be back!!!

I wondered if it would be weird as two adults with no kids going here, but it was fine. We came late in the day right before they closed, so they let us just poke our heads into the barn to check it out. There were sheep, cows, goats, small donkeys, baby ducks & chickens, pigs, and long haired rabbits. We didnt get to go see Carlos the Ox outside, but will definitely come back to meet him! You can feed & pet the animals, and even go into some of their enclosures. The staff is very knowledgeable & patient.
