I live in NY, whenever I come to visit my parents, Id take my mom to this Y. The staff is always nice and helpful, especially, when I asked to use my NY YMCA ID. I have a suggestion though; it would be nice if they can also build a basketball court inside for people, especially teens like my sons, to go play during the cold months. After all, it is a beautiful and big facility. Thank you.

JULIA, I don’t know why She needs a phone number if it’s unreachable all the time and not responding to the voice mail. There are at least 2-3 people on front desk and Julia the so called supervisor but nobody resolve the issue. When they cancel the swimming lesson or change the schedule they never informed me. When I asked them everyone gave different information, not consistent info. They do not know what to do. And the manager (Julia) attitude very disappointing. Why they have an email and phone number if they do not communicate with that. Specially, Julia she is not helpful and want to listen. She has really bad ego. Very disappointed. This location it had nice service before 3 yrs. Now it get terrible.

The pool and other facilities are nice and clean. The circulation in the pool area is awful.

Great place to excercise and go swimming. The Kidzone is great because you can leave the kids to have fun and go excercise or take a group class.

Always friendly staff and clean machines. Trainers always happy to help!

Ive been going to this Y about once a week with my handicapped son for two years and havent experienced any problems.I cant help but wonder about the very critical review by a Lu Lu, as she is referring to three pools, and I am only aware of TWO, neither of which is dedicated to children alone.

OK, I love the Y... for me. The classes and facilities are top notch. I enjoy working out there because they are regular people who value their local community.For years, I have wished my kids had the same positive experience I do. Unfortunately, its been one disappointment after another. 1) Swimming lessons: My kids spent more time on the side of the pool than actually in the pool for swimming. It seemed to take forever to teach them the basics so I have since sent them somewhere else and they were swimming like fish within a month. 2) Summer Camp: The summer camp leaves a lot to be desired. The young staff seem very nice but they are obviously inexperienced and untrained in child development. They have unrealistic expectations for the kids abilities and behaviors. Ive also picked them up from camp to find them hanging out with much older kid campers who were using language that was completely inappropriate for younger ears (nevermind their own!). I shared my concerns with the Youth Director, to no avail. 3) Birthday parties. I have had a birthday party there. Nothing fancy but a good time for the kids in a fun environment. The youth director did not call to discuss the party plans until the night before (she called at 9:30pm when the party was the next morning). Needless to say, it was thrown together since she had communicated nothing to the birthday staff. So, that was a disappointing and awkward experience.It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to justify a family membership there.Our kids now do their swimming lessons, camp, and birthdays elsewhere. Its too bad because I would love for them to be part of the Y community because the potential there is so great. Its a bummer.

The Y is my happy place, great people, great facility, great programs and classes - loved it so much as a member, I became an instructor!

UNREACHABLE BY PHONE

Excellent facility. Clean. Well managed.One exception: the spinning and zumba classes blast music at an unacceptably high volume.They refuse to close the door or hand out headsets. Multiple complaints go unheeded.

So great to have this available! They have amazing programs for the whole family and the staff at the childcare center are so sweet and amazing.

We went there with a friend and had a very bad experience. There are three pools. Two for adults and one for children. But the only pool for children were occupied by seniors. Our children were playing water basketball. The seniors entered the pool later and kept walking between the children and the basket. So our children stopped playing with the water ball immediately and started swimming. However, when the seniors felt a drop of water splashed on them, they began to shout. That happened several times in about 10 minutes. I watched the kids all the time. Im sure the kids were doing front stroke and maybe a couple of drops splashed on a senior. The seniors were rude to the children. This place should be a senior club, not for a family with kids.

The competition (cool water) pool is increasingly unavailable to adult lap swimmers. Not sure its worth the membership fee.

I would not leave any credit card information on file with this organization as they make large fraudulent charges without your permission on a regular basis which you then have to dispute - a process that can take up to many weeks.

Just getting acquainted, but loving it!

Pool is very crowded. Too many classes, and swim lessons constantly going on. As a result, lane swimming becomes almost impossible.

A shameless place...they tried to charge me twice....rude and uneducated....bad attitude...NEVER AGAIN....BUNCH OF CROOKS...
