I Iove Michael’s and even worked for the company at one time which was an awesome experience. My visits to this particular one have been horrible in regards to customer service. Which has gone down as the store has become more commercialized. There were three people waiting for online orders including myself. The person assisting told me I was skipping other people because my order was not ready. One no told me it wasn’t ready I could have come back or waited. Two neither of the other customers has this said to them at all. Three that is not an excuse as I have already paid for items and are just pricking them up. I do understand the busy time season as I used to unload the trucks and then come in to handle the rushes, online orders, and the refresh the floor as needed. I have had so many customer services issue with this location. I have been to high wood preserve and Bradenton, the customer service is impeccable. The online checkout at the front of the store is Bradenton is genius. The Brandon store could learn from these two locations.

Love Micheals wide variety of crafting materials. But, absolutely feel their employees should be more thought and respectful towards their shoppers. (Who if I may point out the obvious, is why they have a store to work at in the 1st place) EVERYTIME I visit the store in Brandon employees are parked in the closest spots and even though I personally enjoy walking and dont mind on a typical day.It truly upset me today when I had my daughter who is 38 weeks pregnant, shes high risk and its raining!!! :(

Not a great shopping experience, but they do have descent reasons prices. Staff not very helpful or friendly in my opinion.

Love Michael’s but today was kind of annoying. We found wreaths in a box marked $5.99 took it to the register and it rang up to $39.99 no problem here’s where we found it, went got a picture showing there are more in the box other people are grabbing them as well so it’s not my fault it’s misplaced, the cashier Madison decided to let me know “well it’s not on me either I can guarantee you that’s not the price” I’m not big on “the customer is always right” but I am big on RESPECTING the people who pay YOUR wage. The supervisor did come over and honor the price, he then had an employee remove the rest of the wreaths but Madison was not customer friendly and was not addressed. Without customers you’re all out of a job and i think a lot of big box stores are forgetting to train that into their employees minds.

I love Michaels it the faculty needs more learning to do. I couldnt find anyone to help me. there was a couple there looking for something and I had to tell them where it was because the person that worked there that was trying to help them had no idea where it was.

Two days before Halloween, all the Halloween decor is gone except for a couple lawn decorations and some costumes and instead there are 4 isles and the entire front of the store dedicated to Christmas. The craft paint isle has been decimated. No yellow, no green. Literally empty, empty shelves. The only staff I encountered was at the register.

Beth, in the framing department was very helpful as usual, she makes my whole shopping experience very pleasant and fast. You recommend Michaels to family and friends!!

I was able to return a product to this location (close to work) when I purchased in another location(close to home)... I live far from work and due to short business hours it was hard to me to stop in my local Michaels, glad to be able to do this and to see more products in this store! Definitely will end up visiting this one!

Great sales going on currently but the 7.5ft Christmas tree for $99 I wanted was out of stock in store & sold out online.

My visit was on a Sunday with new items going on sale. The store was crowded but the cashiers worked quickly but still courteously. I was able to locate my needed items and get out of the store more quickly than I expected.

Besides seasonal items they are very low stocked. You would think they arr going out of business in some areas. The model paint is almost gone. When i picked up my online order it didnt even have the right items in it. Like they just picked whatever they saw no regard to the specific colors or items i ordered.

This store is open for inhouse shopping. They carry a wide variety of craft items and supplies. The company features a rewards program that sends coupons, discounts and sale promotions to members. The staff is friendly and are available to help customers locate items, answer questions and provide other assistance.

I love it because, as a Crafter, I need a variety of material to complete multiple types of projects using unlimited variety & I can find this in this store or online @ their site.

Went in search of Cricut cutter. Nice sales lady was able to help me determine which one I needed. Very happy!

Merchandise is not where it belongs. Store not organized, cashiers are rude. Cashiers dont want to do their job told me it was my problem that all their merchandise is in the wrong location when I questioned them at checkout. Cashiers have attitude was not greeted and was not thanked when I left, very disappointed in this trip.

Lots of home products including artificial flowers and art products, etc. Average prices. Fairly quiet when I visited, while other shops locally were a lot busier.

Went with my wife to get some stencils and artificial flowers .The spring and summer were 70percent off . They had a good selection of flowers and we had a great time choosing which flowers to get for an outdoor wreath. Fun day with my wife.

I go in Michaels once in a while. It wasnt very busy today. So I took my time walking the aisles just looking and getting ideas. I was looking for one of the adult coloring books that are so popular. I have gotten them from Michels in the past. They used to have a rack full of them in the middle aisle. I walked the store 2x looking. I saw 2 employees in the store. Niether one aknowledged me, let alone ask if I needed help. I went up to the cashiers to ask. There were 3 cashiers opened, NONE had a customer. I asked one if she knew where they were. She asked on a radio. And the 3rd cashier said they were down the middle aisle at the back of the store. Wrong. I mercer found them. One of those girls could have taken the time to show me. That was about a $20 sale they lost. Not a great sale. But not bad for a coloring book. And I tend to buy more than 1 if I see more that I like. I hate bad customer service. Ill buy the books online from now on.

Staff is Rude and unhelpful today. I asked Brenda if she knew where Cheese cloth was...she never said a word, I didnt know if I should follow her or not...She motioned for me after a time..still not speaking...then said here this is all we have... I thanked her and said have a nice day..still no response.

Great crafts store across Brandon Blvd. ( Fl 60) from the Brandon Westfield Mall. Theyre always having great sales on custom framing, scrapbooking accessories, silk flowers, model kits, weaving and related, painting accessories and kits, holiday collectibles, plus arts & crafts classes. Very helpful and friendly staff! Theyre usually open for everything they offer but have been primarily pickup only for the last few months due to the Covid19 pandemic. I pre-purchased Testors paints for model kits my partner enjoys crafting. I believe theyre getting ready for a remodel soon so check to see if theyre still open at this time.

Felt like there were a ton of empty shelves. Might have just been the day I went in but, not helpful to have to go to two.

This was by far my worst experience at Michael’s. I usually go to Hobby Lobby or Joann’s but figured to give this location a shot. Walking in I already wanted to leave. The store looked like it was about to close down. I went to the yarn isle since this was what I came here for. I was so disappointed to find 1.5 isles of yarn all over the place. Labels ripped off, yarn on the floor, no selection at all. I immediately walked out. I’m definitely never going back to this location.

I love Michaels they did a painting for me they put it in a canvas and so it looks. Wonderful.

Very understaffed.... which leads to frustrated employees and even more frustrated customers. When you attempt to call you will be greeted by an individual who will place you on hold before hanging up the phone 30minutes later.

If i could give this store a NEGATIVE 5 stars i would. •Always have the “Were hiring” But i’ve sent many of my high school students to work here and they never get called. Store is always way too busy and not enough staff up front.•Placed an order online and when i went to pick up three hours after i placed order my order was not ready. I asked if i could shop for it and they can just clear my online order, short lady with short hair gave me attitude and stated i had to buy it all over again and then they’ll refund me my money. Later stated that if i didn’t want to wait that i could go somewhere else.Staff is rude, they set up curbside pick up and they still make you get out your car to wait for your order. What’s the point of curbside if you’re gonna make me get out of my car and still step into your store?When you ask any staff something regarding the store or orders their response is “i don’t know”. Is your job to know YOU WORK THERE!HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Great sales today...

With the state of the country right now, most business are closing early and making sure the public is informed. I drove 45 min. to get what I needed from Michaels, because the website said they would be open until 9pm. I got there and no sooner did I get inside, they started announcing they were about to close. It wasnt that they were closing that bothered me as badly as when I spoke to an employee. Her reaction was that I should take it up with corporate. I love Michaels and was very disappointed in this. Its so important to keep the public informed and how hard is it to update their hours, like most businesses are doing.

My partner is huge on crafts and loves to work with wax, canvas and candles. I like to make candles with the waste wax from my was burners. So I come here and buy wicks for my candles, and my partner buys canvases and wax products, etc. Its a nicely laid out store with a lot of inventory to choose from, the biggest complaint and the reason they are only getting 3 stars, is the checkout experience. 2 cashiers with long lines is ridiculous. There is no self checkout option, and checkout is the bottleneck In the shopping experience.

I am so thankful for their many sales and discounts! Everytime I feel I am unable to get everything I need, Michaels always come through. Painting is my serene place and being able to get 20 count of 16 in. by 20 in. Canvases for 40$ is amazing. If you have the crafty mindset, please go take a look in-store/online at what all they have to offer.

This store is completely ignoring social distancing guidelines. They have a sign on the door stating that only 10 people are allowed inside, but no one is actually counting or monitoring the entrance. When I went in there were easily over 30 customers in the store. The staff have masks around their necks but not actually pulled up over their noses. Im surprised they havent been shut down. Disappointing.

You can consistently find good deals here. I love their Happy Planner aisle and their clearance aisles. Always check for coupons on their app, you can get great deals that way.

One woman didn’t really seem to care to help me.There was another lady who was working at the store from a location outside of Florida and she was great! She took time to help me, as well as other customers helped me. I wish I remembered her name she was awesome

Its a nice location, but I thought there would be a larger selection of the florals and theyre really pricey too. Luckily they put out a lot of coupons online so if you look you can save money.

I love Michaels & go there for most of my hobbies. Lots of nice workers so if u need help they will help u, plus lots of checkout registers for speedy in & out shopping.

Michaels was having 70% off of Christmas items. I went to buy flowers and a vase. The flowers were expensive, but I had a coupon for 50% off which made it affordable. They had no vases in the store at the time. Not sure if they do carry them. As long as they are having a sale or giving coupons...youre good.

I understand the frustration during the holidays and customers. However, our experience was not too pleasant. I havent been to this store in years. I used to love it when I would visit as a child. The store was beyond a mess and the customer service from some employees couldve been better. Hoping for a better experience next time :)

Well laid-out store. Friendly staff. Returns are super simple when you dont have a reciept and you are in the club. Check-out is normally very quick.

This is the place to go if you are into arts and crafts. They have just about everything you can imagine if you have crafting projects in mind.The staff:The staff is really helpful and seem to enjoy answering questions.The atmosphere:The shoppers are usually friendly and cortious.Discounts and deals:There always seems to be discounts and sales going on, especially with online coupons. I think you can look up coupons on your phone to get discounts at the register.

They have a little of everything crafty and a good selection. Id say the main areas are baking, beads, scrapbooking and art. Hey also have a big selection of fake flowers and custom frames. I love this store.

A bit pricey, but have decent sales often. Certain specialty crafting items are lacking. I went for embroidery supplies & was very disappointed w the selection. Very busy store, dont go on weekends to avoid crowds & lines.
