Life guards were the best we have ever had in my 17 years living and going to the pool

They still do adult swim even if there are literally only 7 people in the pool.

Great facility, lifeguards are polite and alert. The head lifeguard is an effective leader and has done an amazing job this season. My family has greatly enjoyed summer pool days and look forward to next year.

I coach Severn Crossing swim team this summer (2019). The pool is nice HOWEVER some of the lifeguards are VERY unprofessional, rude, incompetent and just unpleasant. I am an American Red Cross certified lifeguard of 7 years, Life Guard Instructor, Pool Operator, AND Water Safety instructor so I am very aware of how to run a pool. These lifeguards DO NOT know their own rules like trying to keep my swimmers out of the pool for lightning for an entire hour when MD dept of health only requires 30 minutes....the gag is there was no lightning, no thunder, only clouds, they just did not want to guard. They are rarely ever rescue ready, I have pictures of lifeguards sitting with their legs hanging over the side of the chair. We had a swim meet and a girl started to actively drown while the lifeguard on duty did not move an inch. Overall unpleasant experience with the staff who once I called out began to speak Jamaican patois about me and the situation THINKING I couldn’t understand what he was saying. If I ran the pool I wouldn’t have hired half of these people.

Life guards this year (2018 summer) are unprofessional and do not know the rules. They close earlier then supposed to on their time, told us “you’re not allowed to hold your breath under water or you’ll faint” and when watching my two year old sister in the baby pool with my mom they told us we needed to stay seated at tables 3 feet away and when she fell no life guard saw her or was anywhere near by. They are very rude and ruin Severn crossing swimming pool experience. The swim team on the other hand is very good and well managaed and very fun my little brother enjoyed being on it.

Fun fun fun ...... clean .. not too crowded.... 10feet deep ... diving board ... fun fun fun
