I come here to workout everyday, Ive noticed that the weight room floors are never mopped. There are drips of sweat around the machines and weights that have been there for over a month or two (Ive been keeping notice). To be frank, its quite disgusting and unfortunate especially with Covid right now. Every other gym Ive been to mops at least 2 times each day. And this gym doesnt even mop ever (from what it seems). Very frustrating because you cant even do push ups without lifting your hands and having dust and someone elses sweat all over them.

My family and I absolutely love the South Davis Recreation Center. The ice skating rink is great for kids to learn how to skate and they rent out skating “walkers” or skate helpers for anyone that is still learning. The pools are really fun and versatile for kids and adults and the water slide is a hoot! They have a little bouldering area that even little kids have fun on and around the corner from that they have a basketball court.The weight room has plenty of options for a full body workout and there is a long row of treadmills, stair climbers, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machines. Right next to those are the racquetball courts. And to top it off they have an indoor track up on the 3rd floor. Such a versatile facility for all members of the family.

I love this place! Has a lot of exercise equipment, the swimming pool are awesome. They even have racquetball courts and indoor track.

Very good establishment. Very clean and safe place. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, a gym, basketball courts, and a track. This is a good spot for recreational activities.

I recently started working out here everyday and I love it! It’s so big and there’s a variety of this you can do like the weight room, racket ball, tons of cardio machines, the track, swimming, basketball, and ice skating. The workers are very friendly as well!

Not to busy. Equipment in great shape. Staff will help if you need anything. Everyone is using cleaning cloths.

This place is not worth your time. Staff is rude, place has horrible hours and they cant figure out how to maximize public and private use times.

Very nice facility but the ice surface on the rink could use some work.

For opening from COVID 19, the experience was good. My son and daughter are competitive swimmers who have missed their pool time. I was able to reserve lanes for them and myself to swim for an hour in the evening. I have never seen the locker rooms and toilets so clean or enjoyed a swim more.

I’ve been working out here for years. They offer everything you could want in a community recreation center.

Tried calling up their number but couldnt get an actual person. There was no button to press to get a person. Also on there website was, when I looked earlier this week, there were two different times for public swimming. Also they havent updated their Facebook of their new public swimming times. Other than that, great customer service.

This is a huge family oriented Community Rec Center. The kids enjoy the indoor casual pool very much. The whole Rec Center has a range of activities from basketball to rock climbing and even an ice hockey rink! In fact the only thing that would keep it from getting five stars is it they might consider more on the outdoor splash park for older kids.

We love this rec center. We whish however that they would keep their family rooms cleaner.

Fun place for the whole family! Swimming pools, gym, running/walking track, weights, ice rink and a small snack bar. The place is well-maintained and clean. Locker rooms have showers and changing places. Skate rental is available for ice skating and many types of classes and lessons are offered.

Do not come here they go against their own rules and standards they require you to wear a mask but I saw so many employees and especially life gaurds without especially both the head gaurds. Swimming wise its a rule you have to shower off before entering the pool but careful showering off for 4 mins you will be surrounded by 3 life gaurds telling you you were in their too long after following their rule. Very dissatisfied go else where.

The diving lessons that they provide are wonderful. The swimming lessons arent quite as great. They are still good, but some techniques werent explained as much as they should have been. Still, it is a safe environment and I would completely recommend the ice skating. Our experience with the ice coaches was great and the rink is kept nice as well.

Not bad for a rec center. $6 dollars for a day pass to go swimming, play basketball or use the gym.I think the employees are good and are happy to help.The thing I dont like is that the gym is PACKED! I went for a workout and it was very busy - it was hard to find a machine or bench to use. I dont know how it is throughout the day but in the morning around 6:30 - its busy!

The price is too high. Some would argue that its $6 to use the entire facility, but when I went the gym was crowded, the ice rink was closed, and the lap pool was occupied by a swim meet. The leisure pool was the only thing I could use. That isnt worth $6. Nicer aquatic centers throughout the Wasatch front cost less. Some would argue that a membership is a better deal. The family passes are expensive. I could get a season pass to Lagoon or Discovery Gateway or the zoo, or the Utah Museum of Fine Art for my family for less!

Love this place so much that we have season passes! They have a lap pool, a big area with a slide and lazy river, and an outside kiddie area that is fun for the kids and adults.They also have a skating rink, a basketball enclosure and a pretty good sized gym that overlooks the swimming pool [so if you want to take your teenagers you can still keep an eye on them].They also do things like junior jazz, baseball etc.

Nice facility, but nowhere near as nice as the Farmington rec center a few miles away. They have a rock climbing area, shared indoor soccer/basketball, volleyball, field hockey, court/area, small weight room with the essentials, racquetball, ice skating, and 4 swimming pools, but the outdoor one is obviously closed all winter. My kids enjoy the pools and I enjoy the racquetball and gym. Staff isnt friendly, but they do their job.

I love this place. We have a membership. I love going after 9:00pm, no kids!!! One of my family members is disabled and the lifeguard ADAM was SO KIND and patient and helped me get her in the pool. I was so grateful.

Good sized pools, the slide and kids play area are fun. There is a place for water basketball and the hot tub is conveniently located so you watch the kids play. Ice skating rink is nice. There are also basketball courts, a gym and a small area to boulder.The facility is very clean and they do a great job and keeping numbers limited so social distancing is easy.Love it here!

Great community rec center! Swimming laps. Digging boards. Heated water play area. All kinds of ball courts. Hockey rink. Weights. Climbing wall. Fun and exercise for the whole family! Ride your bicycle there.

Very fun, I usually go to swim and the pools are very fun

We went for the 2018 Halloween party they have. It is honestly a great idea but was not impressed with the turn out. It was expensive, lines were long, and it was crowded. Not to mention that their “trick or treating” hall gave out 4 maybe 5 pieces of candy. Hopeful for next year.

We had a membership to this gym when we lived in Bountiful. We loved this rec center! I highly recommend it.

Strictly based on the hockey area and the lobby, this is a nice place to watch games. Great seating and the ice is always good.

By far the best value for our family! I love that everything is included, even the classes. We love taking the kids swimming and they can play on the playground and go down the waterslide. I love the barre and Zumba classes. My husband is into running and the steam room. We are so lucky to live in Bountiful!

It was clean, fun, and well kept. If you enjoy swimming there is something fun for all ages and personalities. The lazy river briskly takes you away on a flowing ride. The slide is twisty and quick and a splashing dunk at the end.

It is a great recreation center. There is lots of options for any different activity you would like to do! Plus there is a helpful and great staff working there!

Awesome summer farmers market every Thursday from 3- 8:00pm. Everything from produce to crafts to Grass-Fed Beef to food vendors! All of this is surrounding the stellar playground for the kids.

Staff is extremely rude. I have never had a positive experience with the front desk in the years I have been coming to the SDRC. A young man actually chastised me and made assumptions, telling me I should pay my bills when my card didnt work. I pushed the issue, turned out that the card was damaged. You cant expect to be treated well by the snotty attendants.When I decided to turn in my membership, I couldnt stand coming to the pool anymore when they have not one, not two, but THREE high schools (Viewmont, Bountiful High, and Woods Cross High) training their swim teams in the lap pool every day during the school year. Paying members can come in at 5 AM and swim til 6 AM, or come in on Saturday or Sunday when all other paying members are relegated to double up or even triple up the wider lanes.This gym is too crowded. Serving a community that is growing as fast as this one would be hard, but theyve taken on too much too fast. Paying members are treated poorly by staff and management, and must often queue up at equipment and at the pool.

This place is a blast for the kids, I love the workout room with all the clean equipment.

Lots of fun for the whole family. Pools are not freezing, and slides and diving boards are great for kids who are learning to swim. Outdoor area in the summer is perfect for toddlers and younger kids.

I have a pass and use the gym often. Every time I take my son (18 months) the day care is only 2$ for the hour. I think the outside splash pad is great and all the other things included in your pass.

Ive been coming to the Rec center since I was a kid. Although its had a lot of remodeling done, it still has all the fun that I enjoyed as a kid. Its a great facility for recreational activities like swimming, skating, basketball, exercising, etc. We love coming here with the kids!

One of our favorite family hangouts. Love the various pools & the steam room. Wear swim-shoes, though-- that textured floor shreads our feet every time.

They offer a lot but need a lot of improvement. They host many events/swim meets but fail to advertise so when paying members come those days there is no parking. Additionally people park in the middle of the lot creating a hazard and nothing is done about it. Locker rooms/bathrooms are always a mess, especially during/after the swim meets! Group fitness classes involve leaving the doors open and yelling and screaming disrupting the rest of the Weight area. Weight area is poorly maintained. Its very dirty up there. Some of the weight room attendants at least try. During the day there is no one there. Personal trainers look more out of shape than their clients. Along those lines, taking up and reserving multiple pieces of equipment during peak hours for group training is incredibly poor. Upsides are they do replace cardio equipment every few years. Kids run around unattended. I enjoy the people here I workout with.

The best community rec center Ive been to. Large wading pool indoors with slide, hot tub, lap pool, and an additional lap pool with diving boards, plus the outdoor pool (open seasonally). The gym is well maintained, but is very busy. Racquetball courts are nice (a little hot) but you need to make sure to reserve them if you want to play. Theres also a bouldering area for kids, two basketball court gyms, and the ice rink.

Indoor swimming, indoor water slide, and indoor kids water play area is great for young families on rainy days. Outdoor kids play area is great for warm sunny days.

The front desk workers always greet me with a scowl. If I need any help or have questions for them the wait always takes forever and most of the time they don’t know or care to find someone who does. The kids care is a little better, but my very social children hate to go which is mysterious. The classes are super crowded. The pools are pretty fun, but I’d love if they were open during the day (during the school year) so I could take my young kids and teach them how to swim without teenagers jumping on top of them. We enjoy the skating rink. The weight machine area is great also.

The SDRC has many recreational activities available. The facilities are fairly clean and well maintained. They offer great fitness classes as well. I only gave 4 stars because Ive had trouble with their management, which can be inconsistent. Otherwise it is a great place to go, and I still visit multiple times a week.

Work out here often. Great value for the entire family.

I go mainly for lap swimming, but it’s a well run facility with something for everyone. Yearly membership is a great value.

I love coming here, but one guy that works at the front desk at night comes off as rude. I forgot my card one night and he wasnt polite about looking me up. Im sure he was the head of their new policy that theyre not going to look anyone up anymore. I hope they get key ring cards soon so that you always have your card with you.

Great facilities

The ice skates they tried to give me looked like trash...they were all ripped up. And the bleachers are never pulled out all the way at womens basketball games. Its annoying.

Ive been going to South Davis Rec for over a year now for all my fitness needs, and it does not disappoint. The indoor track is my favorite because I dont like running on treadmills, but often weather doesnt really allow for running outside. The indoor track lets me get my run/walk in any weather! It also has a fairly comprehensive weight room with 2 squat racks, a power lifting station, and tons of benches, dumbbells, barbells, and machines. And if thats not your thing, theres also a lap pool and two recreational pools. Dont like swimming? They also have basketball and racquetball courts, and even an ice skating rink! And if none of that tickles your fancy, there are oodles of classes that you can take which are part of your membership (which is perfectly reasonably priced for all youre getting). On top of all it has to offer, the rec center is always clean, and the staff always smiles at us when we go. Its a really great rec center, and something keeping my husband and me in the Bountiful/Centerville area.

Wish it were closer to the house, great rec area

The chlorine level in the pool is much higher than is healthy. Tested it twice myself last year and complained. First time here this year and the chlorine is so high my eyes and face are burning and Im just watching on the side. A well equipped facility with little care for the health of the community.

Great rec center. I wish they were open earlier and later, especially on Sundays.

Ive visited this place throughout all the places Ive loved in a South Davis County, and always enjoyed its fun and healthful uses. Its definitely worth a visit, to swim, ice-skate and workout. Its great!

We’ve had a lot of fun times at the SDRC. The indoor pool and outdoor pools both have fun water features for the kids, many ages can enjoy. They have excellent customer service as well, they provided us for vouchers to come another time when the pool had been evacuated early for cleanup from an accident. I just wish they had more family dressing rooms or enforcement of the courtesy of leaving them for families to use. A couple times I’ve waited for 10 minutes or more for a family room (with 2 toddlers and a baby) and a single guy or lady comes out. There are signs on the door but some people are jerks I suppose. The ice rinks and basketball courts are fun, as well as indoor climbing area.

We went there almost everyday. Great place for families. I had so much fun doing different things like ice skating, swimming, hot tube, sauna, gym, zumba, etc. You will not regret!

The admission fee is super cheap for the quality of the facility and the services provided. I always enjoy the time I spend there. The staff are helpful and the environment always pleasant. Only issue that may arise is that some days during the week are significantly more crowded than others, such as Monday nights. But great place for recreation and family fun. Id recommend this place to anybody.

Great rec center with a myriad of thnigs to do. Workout, swim, rock climb and more. They also provide a variety of sport leagues for the youth which is great. The good thing about these leagues is they are not overly competitive so the kids have fun while learning the sports.The price is definitely worth it and you get more than what you pay for

Awesome place especially on cold winter days. The pools are great and everything is very clean. The onsite child care is also fantastic and only $1 an hour.

We love their swimming lessons! The teachers are great and my daughter has learned a ton in a short amount of time.

The South Davis Rec Center is a great place to go for swimming and exercise. They have a leisure pool with a lazy river, a lap swimming pool with diving boards, an ice rink, basketball courts, indoor volleyball, a party room, high quality exercise equipment, an outside pool, a splash pad, and great classes such as water aerobics and weight training. They also have 2 swim teams and a water polo team. My only complaint is the pricing. If you are not a citizen of Bountiful, then the pricing is a bit high.

Kids had a great time. Swimming inside was great because it was cool. Fun slides and lazy River. Nice that there are giant umbrellas outside. I am glad there are plenty of life guards.

Fun place to go swimming with the kids they also have high and low diving boards and lap swimming.

The sauna was incredible and I think I lost 20 pounds! The hot tub was soothing and don’t get me started on the skates! They are top notch and make me feel like a professional! Only complaint is the staff was a bunch of rude snobs!
