This has to be the finest small Western Art Museum in the USA. Its an absolute tragedy it will be closing soon and its art sold off. I cannot be the only one who is heart sore.

Came to see the statue museum— sad to see it gone. Extremely nice people at reception though and they have a very cute gift shop with all sorts of gift cards and interesting Western artworks.

Wow! The art is impressive. Weve always been a fan of Leanin Tree so we had to make a stop and visit while in the area.

Really enjoyed my visit here. Greeting cards are fun to read even if you dont want to buy one to send to someone. Maybe you should buy one and send it. Someone would love that.

Excellent museum. They will be closing permanently in August, 2017, so make sure to check out the beautiful paintings inside and sculptures outside before theyre gone. Recommended to all tourists that are already in the area for the Celestial Factory tour.

Absolutely amazing museum. Filled to the brim with stunning Western themed art, including paintings and metal sculptures. I was very impressed with the display and the quality of the art. Large gift store too!

We stopped here to see the museum but were sad to see that it had closed down. We had a very nice tour of the factory though. It was interesting and informative.

Lovely sculpture garden for this card making company. Took the tour and got to see their huge selection of cards made in house. Was surprised to see that they are the makers of some of my favorite greeting cards. A fun day trip for the kids!

As far as museums go this one was good. Im not usually a fan of museums but this one kept my interest. Their collection of Bill Hughes paintings especially intrigued me. They did say the museum is relocating soon.

So sad the museum is closing in August of 2017. This museum is such a wonderful place with spectacular artwork. Definitely make a point to see it before this wonderful place closes. Every out of towner I bring absolutely loves it!

The art was stunning, the sculptures where incredable and the people were fanominal, however it closes in August so I would go now if you are interested.

You can also tour the area where Leanin Tree make and print their greeting cards. The free tour schedule is available on their website site.

The Leanin’ Tree Museum of Western Art is a great accompaniment to the Celestial Seasonings Tea tour is you’re in Boulder for the day. The Museum has both an outdoor sculpture garden and indoor gallery of Western paintings, plus an extensive gift shop of Colorado products and on weekdays, there is a tour!Outdoors, they have an excellent selection of bronze statues, carefully marked with signs indicating whether you can touch, ride, climb, or avoid the statues. There is a modern-day totem pole too, which is kind of cool. There’s also a horse made of varying farm and factory metal implements that is a crowd-pleaser. Students and guests enjoy the outside statues immensely—climbing a bronze horse saddle or a donkey, or making faces at a cowboy or buffalo? Awesome.On President’s Day Weekend, I went on the factory Tour. You view the parts of the factory—the printing (and see how only 4, yes 4! Colors print each card), the cutting, folding, embossing, and sorting of the cards happen. You get to watch a short video about the history of the operation from the 1960’s in Northern Colorado to its current set-up—even how they preserved a pioneer’s wagon outside.It was a nice chance to learn a little history about how a company keeps over 200 people employed in Colorado—I enjoy sending the cards because they are local, recycled, and are generally beautiful! I like to share Colorado artistry with people all around the country.
