Our family of 7 learned about you on the Internet. We had a wonderful time and yes, we were able to escape with 15 minutes left! Turns out our group works really well together and this was a great place to try that out. We also found things to be very tidy and well-organized. Thank you so much.

High production value and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms have unique components that make this location different from other escape rooms. The ambiance of the location is pretty unique too, in a unique and beautiful older building. I hope we can make it back for the larger Escape Room!

We went and had so much fun with 4 strangers in Scientist Part 1 that we all signed up immediately for Part 2, on the spot. We found our way out of both, and had a lot of fun. Would go again!

My son wanted an escape room party for his 13th birthday. 8 boys had a great time at Enigma. The guys who were running it and working at that time did a great job. They were very engaged and communicative. None of the kids, but my son, had ever done an escape room and I know most of them want to do one again and said how fun it was. It also helped that they managed to escape! We are really glad we went this route for his party and I’m sure they will all remember it.The facilities were great and we even bought a cool T-shirt for my son. We have done another escape room in Boulder and it was good too; this seemed a little more put together and upscale as far as location and facilities.

We did the outdoor puzzle and were so impressed with how involved and thought out it was. It’s clear the designers had fun with it and struck a great balance between making it challenging and keeping it enjoyable. I look forward to doing more games with them in the future.

This was my groups first escape room experience and nothing has been able to match up to it since! Weve escaped both rooms now and loved it. Cant wait to see what else they will do. Every member of our group enjoyed themselves both times. It was an unforgettable experience. The room was very well thought out and fun to explore. Thanks!!

We did the Missing Scientist Part One and escaped with just 6 minutes left. It was our first time in an escape room, and we found the puzzles to be challenging but not impossible. We cant wait to try more rooms. Everyone in Boulder needs to go here right away!

I have really enjoyed my multiple Enigma experiences! Our first was the Mad Scientist Part 2, which we did in the fall. Our group of three got out pretty quickly (but felt successful and loved the variety of puzzles/challenges) and one of the game masters recommended we come back and try the Melton Tablets. We finally made it back on Saturday and, while our brains got a bit caught up on one puzzle, we managed to complete it and celebrated by booking The Startup that same evening. The design and attention to detail in the rooms weve done are really great. Puzzles are logical but challenging and unusual. The tech integration of The Startup was clever and I loved the more whimsical elements like the pinball machine and cloudscape. Thinking back on the Melton Tablets, I really enjoyed the integration into the real world. Im a geocacher and immersive theatergoer and I love when a little bit of magic is woven into the mundane of everyday life. Its fun to be exposed to the overlap of reality and the gaming world with surprising elements that you would not otherwise know were there. Weve done a lot of rooms around Denver and as well as in other countries and states as well, so we have a pretty comprehensive experience base for comparison. Its clear Enigma is pushing the boundaries with design and thought process. We hope to get to try more in the future!

My friends and I had a great time in the startup escape room. I enjoyed the tie-in with email and a variety of strange clues that we had to work through. Also, there was an SNES and a pinball machine to procrastinate with. We escaped with just about a minute left. I would recommend going and I hope to be back to try the other rooms.

My first escape room. As a avid D&D player, this was a great thing to do with my D&D group. We each, without guidance, zeroed in on the puzzles we were best at solving and it was super exciting to get through it in a little over 40 minutes. This is easily one of the best hours Ive spent being entertained as an adult. I wish there were more places like this.

Visiting Boulder for two nights. Did the first missing scientist room on the first night and liked it so much that we went for the second missing scientist room the following day. We were two families (four adults and four kids -one 13 year old and three 10 year olds). Rooms were challenging but everyone had something to contribute. Staff helped a bit as needed. Everything was ready and reservations were easy to make. All in all a very fun experience for the whole family.

Went with my family last weekend and we all loved it! We were all escape room newbies so we didnt have anything to compare it to, but we found it to be really smart and challenging. The teenagers probably figured out most of the clues but it was so fun everyone working together as a team.

We almost came back to do another room later in the day... thats how much our group enjoyed it. We escaped the room with less than a minute to go, very challenging and fun! Well be adding this activity to our yearly trek to Boulder trip right along with concerts at Red Rocks and Hiking in RMNP!

So much fun. Ever play those escape room computer games where you find yourself in a mysterious room and you have to solve puzzles and find clues to get out? Like that but in real life! Had a great time going through this with my friends. Looking forward to new puzzles and challenges so we can go back for more.

For the Missing Scientist Part 2 we arrived in good spirits having successfully completed Part 1. Before entering the room we were told that we werent allowed to touch the ceiling, security cameras, clock, etc. We were also told that nothing required any use of force to operate. A couple of minutes into the hour we removed the tabletop (which the manager didnt seem to notice immediately). After five or so minutes the tabletop was accidentally stepped on and part of it broke. Then finally, five more minutes after that, the room manager came in and told us that removing the table top was unnecessary (for which we apologized) and it was removed from the room. A bit later after making into the second room one of my group members gave a very slight tug on the cage door and it slid open. After that we were thrown out of the room but not before we were told that it has happened before in the past and it took us three weeks to fix. After the accidental opening it was shut and could not be opened again. We asked what we did wrong but we werent given a solid response, just that we had broke it (which we clearly didnt as it worked perfectly after it was shut). I believe that the screen door had either been improperly reset or it didnt function as intended. My grievances is that we were not told that the table shouldnt be removed, it was not flagged earlier, or that it wasnt bolted down solving the entire problem altogether, the room was not being monitored properly, and that we were thrown out for the mishap with the chain door. We gave the suggestion that if the screen door had been accidentally opened before then replacing its locking mechanism might be a good idea. After thoroughly enjoying Enigma the first time the second time was a horrible overall experience.

Maybe your first escape room will always be your fondest, but Enigmas The Missing Scientist, Part 1 was worth every penny. A great set of puzzles with technology seamlessly folded in, a neat architectural design, and just the right difficulty level. I went as a group of 8, which can be too many for a small escape room, but somehow this kept everyone engaged for the full hour. Cant wait to try Part 2!

Enigma does an excellent job making escape rooms. Their puzzles are quite unique and they have a great balance of technology and shear smart design in their rooms. They are certainly one of our favorites and we really cant wait until they produce more rooms as we have played both the missing scientist rooms.

Before entering the room, they wanted us to sign a contract that absolved them of liability for any injuries, including injuries caused by them. The contract also allowed them to use photos and videos of us for advertising. When I complained about the clauses that I felt I couldnt agree to, they told me that I had to sign it in order to attend. When I told them that I couldnt sign it, and asked for a refund, they refused to give me the refund, and bullied me to try to make me do what they wanted. I fled, on the verge of tears.Businesses should not try to force (or bully) their customers to sign contracts, especially not after the customer has already paid. Disagreements should be discussed, and reasonable concerns, such as mine, should be addressed. When no agreement can be reached, the business should not keep the customers money.Addendum: My friend contacted the owner and eventually got me a refund. He also convinced the owner to put the contract up on their web site, so now you can at least read the contract before paying.
