We brought our children ages 6 and 3 to the aquarium and it was a hit! It was their first experience with an aquarium and both of them really enjoyed it.We purchased tickets online for 10am and we were done by noon. The aquarium wasnt overcrowd and it felt very clean and safe. There were plenty of staff on hand to answer questions and offer interesting facts.

We loved visiting this aquarium. It’s good for all ages- fine for people in groups or alone. This place is perfectly set up for social distancing and has markers on the ground so you can go in one direction and be able to see everything. We really enjoyed watching the turtles in the spiral tank swim around clumsily. The workers were also friendly.

I absolutely loved this aquarium. This was the first public place my family and I visited since covid. I was super nervous but the protocols the aquarium has in place eased all of my fears. The selection of marine animals is vast and worth the visit. My son is 12 so this is little and big kid friendly. We will return in the spring!

It was a beautiful aquarium. Had a good time here. Due to COVID they had penguins on the floor that you had to follow throughout the aquarium. It was good because it kept it organized and kept people moving through. It is a little smaller than other aquariums I’ve been too but it was nice. Took less than an 1hr and a half to go through even with some stopping in between.

Just left after the best experience Ive ever had! Mid-week during a pandemic meant literally no lines or crowds anywhere! We went for the early time slot but were running behind so they bumped us to the next one with no problems at all. Tons of hand sanitizing stations and clearly marked follow the current signage for a single direction flow. All the employees were wearing masks the RIGHT WAY so it was really reassuring and comfortable given 2020s situation. I was able to take a panorama at the top of the tank with nobody except my son in the frame! Love love love

For the last three years, Ive been on the Whale Watchers boat ride, yet Ive never actually been inside the Aquarium.Luckily, this year, I decided to skip the 3 to 4 hour-long ride that was about $60 per person, and invested in an All-Inclusive Go City Boston pass. The Aquarium was my first stop on my itinerary, and I was happy to have seen it. The entire Aquarium follows a spiral-like structure, which is lovely, as you literally cannot miss anything. Unfortunately, due to COVID, two of the exhibitions were closed: the sharks and the meant-for-kids section.Greeted by penguins, then viewing animals from the Amazon, to creatures of the sea, every floor was wonderful. The area is wheelchair accessible for each floor, and the bathrooms are clean (there is only 1 on the first floor). You will most likely take photos of the gigantic and old Myrtle the Turtle, which has somewhat become a Boston mascot :D.And when you are about to exit, do not miss the seals, as the door is almost unnoticeable after viewing the loud Rockhopper penguins again.Do note, once you enter the gift shop, you are unallowed to revisit the Aquarium again.I would say that if you plan on coming here, do plan to stay for at most 2.5 hours. I highly recommend it, and if you are using a Go Boston pass, as you exit, you could go to your next attraction on a boat on the wharf.

We had a great time visiting with the new health safety precautions in place. The one-way path through the aquarium, removal of touch surfaces like iPads (the removal of which actually made my daughter engage with the fish more than ever before) and frequent hands sanitizing stations made us feel as safe as I believe was possible in am indoor space. It was not crowded. I would recommend!

Very big aquarium. If you want to see completely in detail then it will take almost half day. Almost all water animals under one roof. Small, big fishes, corals, sea lions, penguins, jelly fishes you name it. Lot of information is also available. The aquarium itself was beautiful. I went on a great date there, and it was super sweet. After the date, we tried to go sit near the seals outside by the ocean. Thats where we went wrong. After one innocent kiss and some flirting, Ron the sea lion (seal? Who knows) began SCREECHING. He completely ruined the romance and wonder of our date. Every time we tried to kiss, Ronald would begin his aching call. I truly think he needs a significant other. I can only give 4 stars because Ron needs to respect my right to make out at the romantic seaside scenery that is the aquarium.

Its fairly cheap admissions but you get a whole lot for it. Every tank has interesting fish in it but some are really cool like this one I saw with small little pond fish but when I looked up towards the top I came face to face with a huge anaconda. They have cool stuff like that as well as a petting zoo where you can touch sharks and stingrays. My favorite exhibit was the penguins but my family really liked the sea lions and the octopus. The most famous attraction tho has got to be the giant coral reef they have. Its fun and it can be seen in an hour or so.

We were there on a week day so there weren’t a lot of people. The set up was very nice, we did have to stop and wait for 2-3 minutes to stay social distancing from the people ahead. I saw employees going around sanitizing so that was very nice.A little tip: If you’re booking the movie with the aquarium. This is a phenomenal place, equal to pretty much any aquarium in the world. We visited summer 2020, so the safety protocols were in place, but it had no impact on enjoying the aquarium, although there were no live shows. The massive main tank is a treat to walk around, and up and down. It was nice to see the live penguins when you walk in and stingrays , But the shark exhibition was closed. You did see a lot of different types of dishes a huge fish tank in the middle. I would definitely recommend to other people ( and for the next time we go) to try an figure out where your gonna park before you get there or maybe find a Groupon for a reduced price on the parking ( which they do have), unless you dont mind paying the $40. Its expensive parking, but convenient. It was about a three hour drive from us ( near Albany NY) an we went on a Sunday afternoon so traffic wasnt too bad. Note that our ticket does not include the package to go to the IMAX movie, so we paid 10.00 extra. The show was great ( The Turtle Odyssey). If you are planning to visit, be there as early as you can and buy your ticket/s on-line and exchange your booking reservation # to a ticket a day ahead to the big kiosk with big whale on top. This way you will cut the line and zip through the entrance. They will stamp your hand so you can go in and out. No food allowed. Strongly recommend getting here early as it gets busy very quickly & we visited late April.Main aquarium tank is enormous and accessed via a circular ramp that ascends 4 floors. At the bottom of the tank was a penguin colony which was being cleaned out by staff when we arrived shortly after it had opened. Most of the cleaning was by hand so I guess to minimise any impact on the penguins. As you ascend the ramp there is lots of information about marine life/environments etc with additional tanks on each floor to demonstrate these varying environments. It was really fascinating. You really get different views of the tank as you ascend, all the different species they have at various levels within the tank. You may get to see divers in the tank feeding the fish, I’m assuming they do this for a couple of reasons 1) entertainment 2) ensures most fish get food at some point. There is a separate tank area where there are Rays which you can stroke and was popular with smaller children. Also they had Sea Lions in a separate area and were used to perform a show at certain times, we didn’t see this so can’t comment on it.I think my son & I were in there for about 4 hrs but could easily have spent more time in there but we were on a limited time frame.Definitely worth visiting in my view.

A really fun trip that kept my sister and I occupied for about 2 hours. We went later in the day before school let out and during the week to avoid the crowds. Parking in the lot across from the harbor is expensive (about $40) so if you can park outside of Boston and use the T-system to get around its a lot easier and cheaper (and easier to leave the area) but if you want to drive in it is the most convenient location to park in. Its on the smaller side, so you can easily walk the entire thing in 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on how long you want to spend at each exhibit.Theyre constantly doing live interactions with the animals like feeding the penguins, training the seals and sea lions, and answering scuba divers questions from visitors. Absolutely fantastic, with a perfect system in place that allows you to see almost all of the exhibits and animals.the Shark and Coastline exhibits are currently closed due to limited space for social distancing.A key thing for your visit is the end, DONT go through the gift shop once you get to the end of your initial loop around, as youll miss the gorgeous views of the harbor and the sea lions.Another important thing is to remember that during this pandemic that alot of people pretend doesnt exist, they have timed tickets and close at 5PM, not 6 like Google says.
