What a great spot! We left another local place due to bad service and checked out the Boone Saloon. The food was great (wings, burgers, sandwiches, etc) and they had a variety of beers on tap to choose from. We will definitely be going back!

We were having a great time and they kick out my friend for not wearing his mask on the way to the bathroom? Also didnt the front bathroom used to be multi sex? Havent been in a while and not going back.

Good food and great service!Granted, we arrive early Tuesday evening and crowd was very light, but the service was fast, friendly, and attentive. We were met at the door by a friendly but stern guy who let us know the Covid-19 rules before letting us enter. That was actually comforting knowing they were that strict. We we able to get an outdoor table on the porch.On Tuesdays, they have a hard shell tacos special for $2.00, so I had to try it. I had the beef and it was really good. I also got the fajita quesadilla and a (locally grown) side salad.It was all very good but more than I could eat.My wife ordered the Beans and Greens with chicken and ‘tater tots. She said it was good but had to box it up and take about half of it with us.The menu is somewhat limited but everything we had was good.They have a pretty good selection of beer but you can’t go wrong with a cold PBR or 2...or 3.The parking is a little tricky. It’s in the back of the building, but you have to turn down the hill at the nearest light and turn left into the first drive. It is mark with several “Private Lot” signs. Go to the end and turn left again into their parking lot.We will eat there again.

This is a honest bar. Consistently good beer selection, nice assortment of liquor and high quality service. Nice, open atmosphere with a good array of TVs, but not so many you cant enjoy a conversation without feeling distracted.

Tried to go in before 4 but they open at 4, really not angry I can definatly wait. Best bar in town, most employees are cool and the owner/operators are the only ones in town who care about their people not just their pockets. Theres no bar to compare to saloon, youd have to go all the way to johnson city to find a place half as great. Seriously the best neighbors as well, keep being the best!

Over and hour and a half to get food when there is LITERALLY nobody here. The door lady was especially rude. Red/orange hair bar tender was nice and sweet. The lack of professionalism and door lady did it for me though. It’s a no go.

Great place for couples and college people! Young staff that are friendly and know what they are doing. Place has a hip modern vibe. Includes a live music stage for performers and a fun room down stairs that includes pool and mini games. The prices are readonly expected and there is a ID check at the entrance. Anyone under 21 will have to be spot check and marked and must also leave by 10pm. Keep in mind this place stays open until 2 am! Overall great drinks, service, atmosphere and prices!

Decent food, nice selection at the bar and alright prices. A great place to take the family, the guys, the girls. Will be back!

Downstairs was pretty fun with the arcade games. It was tough to order a drink here as the wait staff wouldnt give us a drink menu, citing the fact that much of the draft beers werent available. Most everyone ordered the pacifico. Ordered the chicken taco and when it came out it was lukewarm. Others did not enjoy their food either. Cool spot to hang out though, wish theyd get their drink and food situation together.

Chill spot, bartender was lazy

Hard to rate really. Went last Sunday for brunch with 6 in our group. Food was superb! Crab cake Benedict and shrimp and grits some of the best Ive tasted. The problem is it took 1.5 hours to get our food. 2 came out, then 3 came out but the 6th which was mine never did. I was just gonna blow it off but my wife went and found our server to say I never got my food and at this point dont bother just take it off the check and would you believe she barked back and swore she had brought it out?!?! Unreal. They made things right on the check and comped some food but at that point everyone was just ready to leave and chalk it up. So I guess Id say amazing food with shockingly horrible service.

The band we went to see was awesome. However the Saloon its self was lacking on service, the guys taking money at the door were more friendly and accommodating than the bar tenders and waitresses and for a place that has live shows the lay out needs alot of rethinking. There was only about three good tables that could see the band play. Ive been in worst places but this place could use a Bar Rescue

Such a cool place. Everything is perfect. Theres even an arcade downstairs with old school DDR. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Boone.

Great service, great management. The owner is great, and Ive never had an issue with staff. The bar has a great vibe and I went there after classes frequently when I was a student.Great management and staff can really add a lot to a bar. The bartenders here are really a great asset to the vibe; and they learn to know their customers well. I was a regular, and they all made an effort to know me as soon as I started to frequent the bar.If you want a place where you can kick back, enjoy a drink and meet some cool people in a more laid back atmosphere, you cant go wrong with Boone Saloon.

When not a late night fun spot, very good food also. Not a fan of the Sunday Dunch menu though.

Mmmmm. So many good beers here. Come thirsty because their selection is the best in town. The owner has exceptional taste in both beers and music. Every time I go, I hope hes working, so I can catch up on how he and his beautiful family are doing. Love this place. Easily my favorite bar in Boone. You will be well taken care of here, by the owner and staff alike.

Cute college town style bar. Has lots of space and seating, but we visited when college kids werent in session. Bartenders arent too friendly or open to providing chat or suggestions, but thats probably due the clientele theyre used too. Have a stage where bands performed. We were there for an hour and watched two bands sound check, but did t actually see any performances.

Great local place for beer, drinks and socializing! They have live music and performances sometimes which is nice. The basement bar was probably my favorite place because there was pool and several other arcade games to play. The service was great down there and they had a big TV. Also I did not go out on the porch but that also seemed nice.

Came by on a friday night and noticed they had a somewhat rare burbon that I particularly like. the barman and doorman both treated me fairly and I respect good service.I didnt particularly like this place as a college kid but as an adult I enjoyed it.

Best bar in Boone hands down. A review like this is easily written off but as a Boone patron of many years I can confirm. This establishment is the best in town for too many reasons to name.

Ive been in and out of the Boone saloon since Ive moved to Boone 7 years ago. Great taste/variety of beers. Clean bar and great staff. Been a lot of great changes over the years like the barcade (epic) and the food has always been great. Keep up the great work Ill be back eventually to have many more IPAs.

Almost didnt come due to negative reviews, but boy am I glad I did, portabella mushroom wrap and the pork sandwiches were both unreal, so so good. Also had the chili Mac and cheese which the wife and I split and was a perfect appetizer. Definitely worth giving a shot

Great college bar. I’m old AF and enjoyed it with my buds on a Sunday afternoon in August. They have a nice beer selection, jukebox and a friendly crew. With a mix of locals, college kids and tourists (like me), the place had a good vibe.

While the food was not bad, the atmosphere was not great and the waitress was unresponsive and inattentive. I would probably not return not only due to the fact that I did not enjoy myself here, but upon reading the owner’s response to other negative reviews, it became apparent that this is likely mismanagement that will probably be repeated.

The food is great and the beer is cheap. For sure a local spot for the college kids but they have bands that do shows upstairs. An if your not feeling the band or the cover you can head downstairs to unwind. Enjoyed coming here while we were in town working and a great place for a morale boost for my workers. Will definitely be coming back here and I bet you will do the same.

Love the food & atmosphere. If you want to play pool & have a drink with friends walk right on in. If you want food & live music from time to time come in & check out the concert on most weekends. Its a great place for all.

My boyfriend and I went to Boone Saloon last week to meet some friends. We are both young professionals, in our late twenties, that just recently moved to town and were excited to see the Boone nightlife. To our disappointment, we were treated like eighteen years old trying to sneak into a club with fake ids. The bouncer was extremely rude, for no reason apparent to us. Once he finally decided to let us in the place, the bartenders were equally unprofessional. I felt like an inconvenience for ordering a pitcher of beer. Ive never felt such a sense of unwelcoming in my life. Both of us have worked 5+ years in the service industry and did not deserve the treatment we received. We quickly took our business elsewhere. Sadly, Boone Saloon is no longer an option for our downtown experience.I am editing my review, 2 years later, because we decided to give this place another chance and our experience was completely different. Great food and great service! Glad we came back!

Wow, was heading to the area where Boone Saloon is and decided to look at reviews before I went. I read a negative review which is not uncommon to see and really doesnt define the restaurant. What does define the restaurant is the unprofessional response the owner gave. How are you a business owner and cannot take criticism or a bad review??? A well run professional establishment would have probably apologized whether right, wrong, or indifferent and ask for the customer to come back to make things right. Keep treating customers like that and being so defensive and your doors will be shut sooner than you think. I will definitely not be heading here. Now I will wait for the owners immature response... Loser!!!

This has always been one of my favorite bars to go to but when I stopped in for dinner, our server didnt care about us at all. He pretty much ignored our empty beers and everything seemed like an inconvenience because his friends were sitting at the bar. The food was great as usual but this is the third time Ive gone in and had the same server totally disregard us even though we are the only table during a slow time. I thought initially it was because we looked young but thats the demographic of Boone... I understand its a college town but I have served in Boone for quite some time and I would never blow off a table regardless of their age.

Came for a beer, and it was a decent spot. Even though they serve food and theres no smoking inside it smelled very strong of cigarettes. Seems like a place that would be good to hang out at night but if youre averse to the old smoke smell youd probably wanna pass.

Small but fun venue. Went to hear a band and the quaint atmosphere made for a very intimate concert. Great downtown location.

The outdoor seating area is great for people watching. The inside has a great industrial vibe, with a stage for enjoying an evening show. Service and attendance to guest could use improvement across the board.

Enjoyed an amazing brunch at Boone Saloon on a beautiful Sunday morning. The quality of the food was amazing, and the employees, as always, amazing service. One of the BEST brunches I have had. Looking forward to more Sunday brunches with you guys and gals. Keep up the amazing work!!!

Bad service and food. Ordered salt and vinegar fries but got regular fries. When I asked about them the waitress didnt apologize or even try to correct it. Her response was its a very mild flavor mild would be a huge understatement as they didnt put anything on the fries. I wouldnt even give 1 star if I didnt have to in order to make this review.

No no and no........ Now since the owner or staff likes to belittle a paying customer after they post THEIR review, here is why I wrote No no and no. I personally liked my dish but when we advised the waitress that the vinegar fries tasted like plain old fries not BAD but none of us tasted the vinegar on them. Did I expect her to know this..... No.....did I expect her to say oh Im sorry let me check with the kitchen and see if we can replace these for you Yes but ...No, that didnt happen, was I expecting her to just shrug her shoulders in response and just walk away...No. sorry we hurt your feelings. You can either retrain the staff or season the fries but not get offended by our reviews or you shouldnt be in business.

Tight parking in back, hard to get parking on the street. Wait staff and bartenders friendly. College students, adults, locals, and tourists. Great place to drink a beer, or have a cocktail. Food was decent, but slow. Very limited menu. Worst thing was parking. I parked in the back lot, was blocked in for 30 minutes by a take out delivery vehicle.

Stopped for a brew. Nice place, open, friendly vibes. Like to come back for some tunes one night.
