I’ve been waiting for the skatepark to re open and every now and then me and my buddies would stop by and ask what’s up with it after school, that was about 2-3 years ago and till this day there are no signs of it being started or anything :(

My daughter will be spending several days here over Christmas vacation from school, so that I can work. Set up the Christmas Vacation day-camp at the YMCA in Bonita Springs!! Very thankful for this program! Thanks to everyone at the Rec Center for helping with the program for the kids!Joanna Schiavone

The actually recreation center is old and dirty and the people working at the center are obnoxious and that’s being nice! But they have a fabulous playground with newer equipment and my son loves to play there! Also, one of his friends had her birthday party there last weekend outside near the covered picnic benches and it was a great party! They need restrooms for sure that’s one thing that’s definitely lacking!

If I was able to give the rec center 0 stars I would. Unortunately, 1 star is all I could give and 1 star is entirely too much. The facilities are old and antiquated, while the locker rooms are filthy. The staff working was rude and condescending. The rec center clearly neglects training its employees properly. Although I suppose the rec center isn’t responsible for teaching its employees common decency. Go to the YMCA or a local gym if you want to enjoy yourself. However if you’re looking to blow off some steam, I’m sure the front desk employee at the rec center would happily argue with you over nothing.

I am so pissedl off that Ive lived in Benita for 22 years and whenever I want to go use the recreational pool that Is supposed to be for the community.... its closed or its closing. it doesnt revolve around my hours yet I pay for it in my taxes doesnt seem to revolve around anyones hours except for those that are home during the day which I find very unfair AND ON a Sunday when the pool should be open during the summer in Florida its closed.. I dont appreciate this as a resident, a long time resident of bonita Springs. And the worst thing they could have done was make it salt water its so salt water that it feels like youre stepping into jello they overdo it completely Id rather the chlorine but thats just one person out of those in Bonita who has chosen to speak up.....Im tired of this... id like a pool that I can go to its paid for by my taxes when its supposedly offered as a perk of living here.
