Course was in great shape, in spite of heavy rains the previous night. Layout was great. We played the South and East nines. Will definitely play here again. Weather cut our round 3 holes short, but still enjoyed the day.

Course great and would even be better without the squirrels never have I seen so many want to attack your cart or snack while you are in it!! Hope you take care of this problem would love to come back.....

Spanish Wells has an array of homes and condos suitable for any families needs. Great golf course and other amenities. One of the best values in Bonita with a sister community for residents to enjoy, Tarpon Cove.

Just finished playing Spanish Wells Country Club for the first time. Loved the course and it helps that I played pretty well. The entire community and golf course is beautiful and well taken care of. The greens were very fast and they were in great shape. Highly recommend if looking for a nicer golf course to play while in the area.

Beautiful course, fantastic food in the clubhouse, amazing community surrounding it. It’s an amazing place to visit. Golf, tennis, swimming and socializing. If you want a place to call home, along with a standing tee time with friends look no further. The reviews here simply don’t represent the current experience. From the time you arrive you’re treated like family. The course is challenging, the range is as well—-but it’s certainly worth a visit. Spanish Wells is amazing, this established course is one course not to overlook.

Nice course great shape. It is short and some target golf. Leave your driver in the bag. The facility is nice and the food is good.

Great and challenging course....beautiful club house

The course conditions are improving. However, they just cant seem to do the little things that make you want to come back. Ive played two times in the past month and both times, the cart had no divot sand, When I told the starter, he just said, have a nice day. One of the times the watering stations had no cups. How hard is it to keep up to date with those little things when you get only 50 people/day playing in the off season. I hope they get it together--its a well laid out course and fun to play.

I have played Spanish Wells Golf and Country Club for 4 years. 2 years ago the owners within the SW community purchased the course, hired Billy Casper Golf Inc. to manage the clubhouse, the 27 hole course and opened tee times to the public. Recently SW Golf and Country Club received an award recognizing its merit for the most improved SWFL Golf Course. The professional B.Casper staff is building momentum with quiet confidence and the public seems more than willing to enjoy the early successes of the course restoration. Its a good time.

Starter Dave was GREAT!

Went here to give it a try. Were cut off twice on 1st tee by members who were rude and didnt even explain why they were going ahead of us. Did not end up playing as we got our $ back and left. This place looked pretty old and tired. The course might be ok.One star is for the guy in the pro shop who tried to help us out. Dont waste your time here. Too many other nice courses in the area to bother with this place.

This is a great location to play golf. There are three 9 hole courses. I see little evidence of crab grass. The price to play during the in season is reasonable and this fact is proven by number of people who are on the course at any given time. I have played each course (the north, the south and east) and can say wholeheartedly that each of the tee boxes are in great shape. The fairways are well maintained and the greens all look fine. The people that work in the pro shop are friendly and professional. There are several starters and bag boys who do all they can to make sure that you enjoy golfing on the Spanish Wells golf courses. The driving range is a great place to get warmed up before you play or work out any issues after you play. You will find these courses to be fun yet challenging. If at any time you find you are thirsty you can buy something to drink from the beverage cart girl who comes by several times as you play. All the natural scenery is beautiful and you can be easily distracted by the fish in the ponds, the sight and sounds of birds everywhere as you move from hole to hole.Sorry I have not gone upstairs so I cant fairly rate the food or staff.

Stayed in Bonita Springs recently and played this course and some other public courses in the area. Spanish Wells was in excellent condition when we played there, equal to or better than any of the others we played. Good job!!

I have lived here for 22 years. This has always been the friendliest place residents and country club. As it has gotten older and new club come it has had its problems but its local out of flood zone but close to the great beaches plus a golf course that has new blood makes this a diamond in the ruff( not quite that ruff) but its great fees and large course make it a great place to live and golf. If youre loaded with money and belong to the snobs of Naples or elsewhere then stay away we dont want your changes. There are ither clubs for you.

Golf course is in very decent condition, with 3 9-hole courses to play. Nothing special about the courses, pretty straight forward, nothing really memorable about it; but the people are friendly. Try to find a deal on the green fees, then youll feel better about playing there - I think its semi-private, so the public can also play it. Our condos in Ft. Myers Beach plays there once a week with a discount.

We very much enjoy it here. SUMMER BREEZE! Sorry guys but I have to tell the best kept secret; there is often a breeze on this course and ALWAYS a breeze after 10AM. Its a shame to keep it to our selves. Playing all year is too important to the happiness of (especially) long time golfers. We are able to get out on this course and enjoy the day. With a breeze perspiration doesnt hang out to melt us. We start out and stay hydrated. There are iced towels and cold water always available. And a required cold beer upstairs just waiting...already looking forward to tomorrow...

No golf course can have perfect conditions year round; a lot of courses in the SW Florida region have been hurt by the heavy rainfall this spring. I have been to 10-15 different courses in the area this year. Spanish Wells is no exception and the greens and fairways were pretty beat up. This is not why I am leaving a negative review. The man who checked us in would only let us play 9 holes as guests which was surprising because the course was completely empty. We did not see another group during our 9. He was also extremely rude and told us that is was just their policy- it is not because I booked 18 here this February as a guest. It blows my mind that the course wouldnt want to take in as much revenue as possible right now because that place is just burning money. They were building another clubhouse (much larger and nicer) but the construction halted because of a lack of funds. You can tell they have stopped caring about the conditions of the course and the customer service inside the clubhouse. This place is heading in a TERRIBLE direction, I would advise anybody reading this to golf anywhere else but Spanish Wells.

Nice course. 27 holes so they can keep the crowd spread out a bit. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Greens were fast and true.

My group of 16 old guys play there every Sunday and we love the place.staff is excellent and course has improved very nicely.we are the Craddick group and play Sunday at 73.i want thank u ok all for the courtesy...Thank you so very much my mame is rock larson....

The Club is under new management. Billy Casper golf management has taken over both the golf course and the restaurant. The course is in great shape. All hurricane damage has been cleared. Tremendous improvements have been made and this a destination well worth visiting.

Unit 1 HOA board members are lazy morons that dont in force the rules cause they dont want to get their neighbors mad at them, I say YOUR FIRED an get lost

I tempted in a few times last seasin as a server thx to brook and fell in love.. your staff and management are amazing ... a very positive happy work environment.. your events are gorgeous and well planned.. and the kitchen staff and food is just a home run.. I was going to apply as a server..but am now a garmange chef/hot line chef.. and my heart is in the kitchen.. temping in with your staff pushed me to full fill my dreams .. and the view is to die for.. what a great community and such a wonderful work vibe.. Im very happy to see my input appreciated.. Spanish wells staff and management is killing it everyday .. beautiful community.. great place to live.. bonita where its at

We paid 35 to play here. I wouldnt pay 10 to play here. This course is like a bad municipal course. In season they charge 100 dollars. Tee boxes were dirt and crab grass. Fairways had crabgrass, the rough was all crabgrass. I play golf all the time Ive gone to the best courses in Naples Im a single digit handicap and Im just warning you there are plenty of other good courses to play for the price they are going to charge.

No AC in the ballroom with over 150 people attending a sweet 15. But the ballroom is real nice inside. #uastarphotobooth

Good course but security did not take me seriously because I was young. Blew me off and thought I was just a kid

We played here 2 weeks ago and found the North course in very poor condition. It had recently rained and honestly the course should have been closed. I was especially concerned because My daughter is building a house in Cardova and plans to Golf there. I hope maintenance improves so She isnt disappointed.

I should have realised things were not as they should be when I drove into the car park, it was almost empty, the guy at the bag drop was pleased to see me, he must have been bored to tears doing nothing. He directed me to the Pro shop where I met the lady pro, this is when I found that I must have had a senior moment as I had turned up a day early for my game, I thought it quite funny, the lady didnt even crack a smile, never mind, all I wanted to do was play golf, I had only travelled from the UK for this holiday, but only driven just over a mile from where I was staying. Off I went to play the East & South nines. The first tee was extremely scruffy, the rest turned out to be the same. The fairways were in good shape, but very wet, there are lots of water hazards and the water level is high, this is probably why the fairways are so wet. The greens had lots of brown and bare patches on them, the cut was high, and all had several unrepaired pitch marks. I only played 13 holes, to me this is a very boring and uninteresting course, which needs some serious TLC. Also there are too many look alike holes. If you like a bit of a challenge there are far better courses out there to spend your hard earned $ on than this. Go find a par three course, youll have a better time!

Fun golf course had my best round this year

Hardly ever open and they make theyre own hours according to managements moods. Very un-professional management. The food quality is very poor. The GM hides from patrons rather than establishing a rapport with the people who help his paycheck! They treat all Members, Staff and Guest like an inconvience and have no respect for anyone! The Food and Beverage Manager smells of smoke and has terrible dental hygene. They have a revolving door for staff. We all expect they treat staff very poorly and there has been many reports of them stealing from the servers. This company (Escalante) has many lawsuits pending. The place is a mess. There is many other respected clubs in the area and we advise to go to those places!
