If local history is your thing this is a great place to visit. Railroad cars and museum offers step back in time to appreciate where Fannin County got its roots.

Nice little historical museum of the local area. The exhibits are of mostly donated items. The curator(s) did a good job of arranging things into cohesive areas. Every day items, clothes and amateur natural science collections. Part of the story is historical efforts to bring the railroad and its economic benefits to the area. We were there specifically to measure the MKT caboose for a potential railroad model, so we spent several hours. The MKT caboose /exhibit is well done. Chairs, desk, ice box, stove, sink and other details give a concrete feel of how it was used in its heyday. For most visitors, I would guess an hour or so will be sufficient. No fee; the museum happily accepts donations.
