We went twice during the 2020 fall season. My 3 year old son loved petting the goats, riding the ponies, holding the baby chicks, looking at all the other animals, and getting a haywagon ride. The staff were all nice and friendly. Everyone was masked up for covid and they had lots of hand sanitizer around.

Super cute and fun farm! We went on a Thursday and while there were a number of other families there, there is enough room to spread out for social distancing. They have signs all over reminding you to stay 6 ft apart and have hand sanitizing stations everywhere.Masks are required so dont be afraid to visit! They have a lot of different animals to feed and pet and they let you actually hold the baby chicks! There is a small 8 hole mini golf course and a small AND a giant inflatable slide. They have a decent sized corn maze, a train and a hayride. The place isnt super huge but you can definitely spend 2-3 hours there. The gift shop, pumpkins and food was all very reasonably priced. We wanted to try a new place instead of the popular and super crowded patch in Homer Glen and this one didnt disappoint!

I was very impressed with how they handled COVID procedures. It was clearly displayed for all who entered that masks were required at all times. The employees cleaned all rides after each use. It wasnt overly crowded maybe due to weather. We were also excited by the craft beer style butters they had available.

It needs more thing for kids to do! My nephew enjoyed the Mini Golf. But like the basketball and football throwing its not made for like kids under 6 (atleast thats because my nephew is 6). The hay ride has nothing to look at but the ride and dry corn and old tractors. They should put more things to look at or spot. The train ride its boring as well. And real short. You wait more than what you ride on. There plenty other places With funner things.

This is our second year coming to Johansens. Its always a great experience. My little guy LOVES all the animals. They are a little more expensive, but the proximity to our home makes it worth the trip. The only reason I didnt give them four stars is because compared to other pumpkin patches weve been to, Johansens had fewer coordinated events (i.e. pig races, pumpkin chunking, pony rides, hay rack rides, ect). I dont remember any of that ever being a part of the Johansens experience, even pre Covid. If you are socially distance minded, I would recommend going in the morning, before 12pm. We went on a Sunday, and arrived at 9 am. There were other people, but it wasnt packed.

It was fun to see animals, mini golf, do the corn maze, and ride the train. There was a lot of hand sanitizer available. I only gave it a 3 because they were wiping down the train with the same rag between train trips. It looked dirty and there was no liquid to disinfect-just the same rag. The mini golf clubs were sticky and dirty. I used my own wipe and a lot of grime came off the handle of the golf club. There were small kids mini golfing and in the corn maze running all over and golfing on the same holes as other groups with no adult nearby. Even in a non-covid time the dirty rag and golf clubs would bother me. A positive-The apple cider and doughnuts were delicious as always.

Johansen has beautiful flowers without a doubt, every corner I turned I saw nothing but beautiful flowers and plants. But I did purchase a hanging basket that didn’t even last me a week. It was bought 05/07 & by 05/11 the plant was in bad shape, I tried to do everything I could to revive it but nothing worked. What a shame. I would not go back to buy another plant it was a complete waste of my 28.99 + Tax.

My family has visited Johansen Farms every year since I was a child! I am 27 now with my own child and have continued our tradition of farm fun every year! This will be my child’s third year visiting and he asks every day to go! We take family photos in the adorable pumpkin patch (we love the red fence in the background), we pet and feed the animals, we cuddle baby chicks, and we explore all of the fun fall activities! Lastly, we have to take home a box of apple cider donuts! They are our favorite! We love Johansen Farms!

The employees were very friendly. The pumpkin selection was limited because a lot of the pumpkins are rotten. You really need to check them, including the bottom. To get into the farm it’s $15/person on the weekends, which I thought was pricey when you try to take your family. There are very nice fall scenes where you can take pictures. The Apple cider, you can buy at Jewel. I was really hoping for some homemade, but then again they are not an apple orchard as well. Basically, I’ve been to better.
