Anthony Francis is the real deal. Hes a phenomenal performer and the rare person who teaches a skill just as well as he does it. I have been studying improvisational acting for 11 years, and Anthony is one of my favorite teachers on the planet. Whether youre a doe-eyed beginner or a seasoned veteran, hell pinpoint ways you can improve as a performer, give you specific method and exercises, and empower you with the courage to try them. I recently took his solo improv workshop with my team, and we came away feeling stronger and more prepared both as a team and as individuals. I love this place. Anthony is one of the best instructors Ive ever met not just in Florida but in USA. The drop in classes are always fun and I learn something new every time. The shows are great too. Best entertainment for the money period whether its a class or a show, not to mention some of their amazing annual events like the Improv Cruise or Palm Beach Improv Festival which are phenomenal.

I can not recommend this company enough. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and tailor each class to specific needs of all levels. So if you are a beginner you might be able to play with advanced players! I say you have nothing to loose as no matter where you are in the improv game they truly make the space a home. It’s a tribe! Anthony’s online class the same content you get from a live Improv U class . It’s fun, inclusive and a great way to continue the Monday Night Drop-In tradition. Drop-Ins are classes where you go when you are able. New people and experienced performers will always find something new to learn.

Every time I go to Improv U for a drop in class it is a magical experience! I always learn something new, make some new friends, and generally get to express my crazies in a very open setting. I absolutely LOVE this place...it is like the home I never had...not that Im homeless or anything...but if I was, I would totally move in.

There is no improvisational acting class, show or teachers in the area that compares to Improv U. The founder of this organization is made of pure love and awesome fun. I was a student for their improv classes and I learned sooo much about myself and life. I am blessed to come in contact with Improv U and their amazing teachings. Thank you!!!

If youre looking for a fun, casual way to spend an evening laughing, this is where you want to go. The performance space is small, but in intimate way, and youll feel part of the action. Alcohol is available, but the selection is limited - not that youll be going just to get drunk.

We attended a performance of the Sick Puppies - which I believe are the students. It takes a lot of courage to perform in front of others & let go so that I commend. That being said, the structure of the show, etc was just terrible. Instead of explaining what was going to happen in a game, the performers took a suggestion and would jump right into performing, leaving the audience confused as to what was happening. Also, the scenes were allowed to run far too long. By the end of the scenes the punchlines were way past unfunny. Lastly, there were at least 10 performers - which I felt was far too many for the small stage. Sick Puppies needs to work on the organization and flow of their show. We were told the main stage performers were to go on at 9pm - perhaps they were better. We didnt stick around.

Great time at the Improv Mixer! Thought it was just part of a scene, but then realized the couple on stage got engaged for real! So cute! Congrats to them!

Ok. After years of performing and teaching improv I can honestly say that it was painful to watch this show a few Friday nights ago. There were few if any laughs and the improv games let the scenes run way to long. Perhaps hoping a laugh to go out on would come.... it did not.Actors staging was poor. Backs to audience. In comedy silence can be deadly. There was plenty of silence. The basic skill in improv is passing the ball. If you pass the ball and someone has nothing to say you need to move the scene along.... not stand there and compliment silence with silence.There was 1 or maybe 2 performers that were well rounded.Not one performer chose an dialect or character. Each performer was just a voice in a space.Disappointing to say the least.

Best experiences among the best people out there. All the ppl that lead the classes are amazing and theres rules they lay down in the beginning, like absolutey NO JUDGEMENT. Ive never been happier about a choice compared to joining these classes. Im currently in the drop in classes for the beginners, but they have different levels based on experience.

I visited this place mostly for the sake of my son (I am not the type to be able to improv by any measure) but I was very impressed with the class. The teachers are patient and able to coach people very well. The people participating really seem to enjoy it. It is fun to watch people perform after the coaching. It isnt quite to the level of a show like whos line is it anyway? obviously but it is still very entertaining. People seem to encourage each other and the people attending were very kind to my son. I think if you like this type of thing this is an excellent place to practice and learn.

I took my first class with ImprovU about two year ago, and Ive been hooked ever since. If you want to learn about improv in Delray Beach you couldnt ask for a better school. Plus a drop in class is only 10 dollars.
