Can’t speak for its value because I believe it’s part of my tuition so I’m not sure how much it costs if you’re not a student and paying for it monthly. However I can say that it’s a great gym. I primarily go to lift and jog, but I’ve been to the pool as well. The the weight room has everything I need and I like that there’s an option to jog on the track upstairs if you find treadmills boring.

Awesome facility for Indiana students. A very wide variety of activities available from swimming, to racketball, to basketball, and an indoor track. Several workout rooms, and spacious locker rooms. Kept very clean especially considering the amount of people moving through this facility every day. Rental equipment is available making it a perfect place to come and get some exercise in. There is something for everyone here, and I would highly recommend the Student REcreational Sports Center (SRSC)!

This a perfect place for college students to come have fun and exercise. There are group exercise rooms and rooms for people just to come and exercise either by themselves or with a friend or two. There are always people working nearby to help anyone who had any questions or difficulties. I have worked out here before and I love it. Everyone is focused on working out and are more than happy to help others. Its a very nice environment to work out in.

Great Facility, tons of equipment. You can almost guarantee that your cardio equipment is available. However, If you want to lift weights I recommend you take a peak at popular times on google and try to go when its a bit slower. As a student living off campus, I wish I could park during weekdays to without a Parking Permit.

Swim meet here. Nice facility. Day pass is $6 per day ( bring your ID) if you want to work out here and is not a student. Wish the family hours for the swim are more often.

Wow. Stoked to see fellow alum and everyday billionaire Mark Cuban just hanging and fitting in a workout. This is like the third totally random casual encounter with him across the nation. For the record, they never get tired of ...for those reasons, Im out. Didnt get to make my elevator pitch, but Im gonna make sure I mention Travo next time I bump into him.

This place was a daily staple for me back in my student days. I have not been in the facility since 2011, but I can say that then it was beautiful. Clean, well-lit, TONS of cardio machines. It was also a short walk from my dorm, and partly why I spent all four years living there...My only caution though is to be prepared for crowds at the beginning of each semester. In the fall, the new folks are giving it a try. In January, New Years Resolution folks are testing their resolves. If you go early, you should beat the worst of it.

Compared to other large state universities fitness facilities Ive seen and used, IUs are outdated and insufficient. At the SRSC its common that essentially every piece of weight equipment is occupied and there are still people standing around. The building is noticeably old (though not as obscenely old as the WIC, the other fitness center on campus), and they dont keep it very cool despite hot and humid Southern Indiana - maybe the AC is just so old it cant keep up, I dont know. The weight and cardio equipment is fine, not fantastic, but it works.

Newer of the two IU campus gyms. I really enjoy they offer a full time IU employee/spouse plan. The faculties are up to date and there is a large pool facility if you like to swim. I work out here 5-7 times a week with my wife.
