I’ve been staying for 5 days at the Crown Plaza Suites MSP Airport and it was not until the last day that I came across the NW Airlines museum on the 3rd floor. What a great experience which I had more time! Wish the hotel lobby had more signage. Please visit the attendants are very pleasant and very knowledgeable.

This place is a bit hidden but is a neat visit. Exhibits on the history of Northwest and the airlines that merged into it. Staffed by retired NWA employees. The collection is impressive, much of it donated by the airline itself or by Delta when they bought it. Some exhibits rotate periodically. Was very impressed. Very close to MSP so doable during a long layover as well.

What a fantastic collection of artifacts from NWA. Most of them items that would have otherwise been trashed or forgotten about. The volunteers the day I went were former employees and recounted many stories. I could have stayed another hour talking to them. Definitely recommend a visit if youre looking to kill some time before a flight. Just note the signage isnt that good for finding it. Best way in is to park in the hotel parking lot top level then enter through the glass doors then up the stairs one level which can be found beyond the pool

This is an important place for anyone who worked for or just enjoyed flying Northwest Airlines. Its a small museum with a very friendly staff who are very knowledgeable and passionate about NWA and aviation. If you have an hour or two, I highly recommend stopping by. Oh, and their gift shop has some great memorabilia for you to purchase!

Went there with a buddy just after Christmas. We are both interested in aviation so figured wed take a look. While the place is small, we ended up spending an hour looking at the models and taking in the exhibits. We very much enjoyed it!!

Must see for any former Northwest employees, their families, or those who are interested in aviation and/or Northwest Airlines. A modest collection but extremely interesting. Smaller children would likely not find anything interesting. Plan on spending up to one hour looking at the various collections.

I am trying to finish out the collection of travel agency die cast models of the NWA fleet, especially the ones that my uncle Jim Malinski, had. I believe he donated a couple to the museum, I an trying to find out which ones and where I may find them. They do not have to be the same ones he donated, but just looking to fill in the ones missing. Also looking for what aircraft and when they were in service during NWAs history.
