Keeping peoples money and making it a credit instead of at least offering the opportunity for an actual refund is shady business practice. I get that things are hard for you during this crisis, its hard for everyone. We had to cancel events at my work as well, but we offered refunds for everyone because its the right thing to do.

Here for Reel Big Fish, and they were amazing! The venue was small and intimate for the show, and that is exactly what I was looking for. The sound system was excellent, and the bands were mixed well. I would very much recommend this venue for any concert.

The owners of this theatre are most gracious and hospitable. What a great venue! Sound was fantastic! There are two bars for serving and freindly wait staff working the floor. I would recommend this venue for a great concert experience! Thank you Rory and crew!

Saw the Dead South & Whiskey Shivers on Oct 18. Loved the venue! General admission show, allowed us to literally be right at the stage. It did seem overcrowded as it was a sold out show, and there was no isle open to get to the bar or anywhere once you were at the stage. Great prices on drinks for a concert. Each section had seating available at the very front of the section (minus at the stage of course) and the staff were friendly and did not shove people out immediately following the show, so we were able to hang out with the opening band after. If you wait outside long enough after a show you have a good chance of running into the Headlining artists!

This is such a great gem in the middle of Centeal IL, that its worth the drive to see a show. The space reminds me a bit of Brew and View at the Vic in Chicago. The restored interior is a joy to look at between acts.

I recommend going to THE CASTLE THEATRE The staff is friendly and the venue is wheelchair friendly. Its located close to several restraunts downtown. Free parking is close by. The Castle has a large selection of beers and cocktails. Ticket prices are reasonable, most of the time.

Great place to see some amazing music for good prices. You can see a wide range of music here and the acoustics are great. They have some seating on bar stools on the first floor and balcony but they fill up quickly on popular show days. Anywhere you sit/stand you feel close to the stage. Multiple bar locations inside with great drink prices.

Just had our wedding here this past weekend- I can’t say enough how grateful we were for the staff. Nicole who is the event coordinator was super transparent about everything, offered suggestions and walked us through any questions or concerns we had. We hired sideshow performers and a KISS cover band and they were able to contact Nicole in preparation for our flawless night. Bartenders were amazing, security and all other behind the scenes staff. Thank you guys so much!

I have been to countless shows here. I consider this the best music venue in the area including Peoria. Lots of great bands come through. Acoustics in the space are very good. Staff has always been pleasant and friendly. Ticket prices are reasonable. My only complaint would be the very limited seating options. Overall this is a great place to see a show.

We (War Hammer) just played a show at this venue on June 8th. I have to say that the 4 of us and our crew were absolutely blown away at the hospitality of the staff here and professionalism shown from the time we arrived to when we left.The stage is awesome, able to hold our full touring rigs and allow freedom to move around and enjoy playing. There is also a large lounge upstairs with a bathroom and huge shower which is a very nice addition to have after a long travel there.Even the sound guy clearly knew his job well, understanding that it isnt just about making it loud but making each channel have its own identity in the sound spectrum and work together for the whole band.

This is an awesome old style theater that hosts many great events throughout the year. The beautifully preserved interior harkens back to a bygone era. It is well suited for smaller events and venues.

I really liked this facility. Very nicely redone, good quality remodeling, and nicely decorated. The acoustics were also very good. Plus, it small enough that your not too far away from the music. The only two things I didnt care for was the traffic flow in the seating area, and the seats themselves, rather uncomfortable.

10 years ago I left BloNo for C-U because there was more happening, but now I am coming back several times a year for bands. Castle books all kinds of music and attracts a mostly respectful crowd. Ive enjoyed all the shows Ive seen here.

A great venue for music and events of all kinds. Those who arrive early can maybe score a stool to sit on, otherwise youll be standing. That is on the bottom level. Top level open for bigger events has chairs! A server is constantly roving to provide beverages while listening and the acoustics are great.

I love the place. Just not a big selection of spirits and a little pricey. Great place to see live music tho.

Bigger than it looks. Need public restrooms accessible to customers in line for hours. Nearby businesses are not nice. Would like the venue to partner with its neighbors to make the experience more enjoyable. Possible portable toilets or a food truck for busy days. Concert experience was great- six hours in line in the snow and cold sucked!!!

Quality and quantity of shows has gone up dramatically over time. Its great to have a local venue to bring in good tunes as to not to need to drive out of town and get hotels. Prices on some shows seem a bit steep and bar prices are high as well. Could really use a single cheap beer option. Staff has always been courteous and professional. (Check out Diggers directly behind The Castle for a cheap beer before/after the show)

We had a wedding reception here and it was fantastic! Theres a balcony and a good stage and a nice bar. The staff set everything up , cleaned and took it all down without everyone from the wedding having to work about it. Also the rooms are really nice and have autographs all over the walls

I miss watching movies here like when I was in college, but the changes theyve made are great. I had a wonderful time at a concert recently and am looking to return soon! Small intimate music venues with reasonable ticket prices are hard to come by. The Castle Theater fits the bill!

Went to a wedding there. Best wedding ever. Nice venue. Great older building

Nice old place. Limited seating at the event caused us to leave before the end of the concert. Seating is first come first serve. Plenty of standing room. 1st act tried to blow the door off the place with volume. 2nd and main act realized they were in a contained space and sounded so much better. Go early and get a chair.

Smaller venues are my favorite way to see live music. There is an upper and lower floor with bars. Drinks were decently priced. Be advised there is very limited seating if youre looking for that. The acoustics were great for the show we saw. Be sure to dine at the restaurant located behind the venue, its amazing.

This is a pretty cool spot if youre looking for a more intimate entertainment venue. Ive been here for a variety of different events that range from comedy shows, to music concerts, to private parties and I have seen it set up in a few different ways to accommodate whatever event is being hosted. It has a nice location downtown and there are plenty of places to find free parking in the surrounding lots.

Saw Iron & Wine there and it was awesome! The venue is small enough that there is hardly a bad spot, but large enough to attract quality artists. Beer selection could be improved, but they have enough of a selection for most.

Had to leave the theatre for an emergency. I tried to re-enter afterwards and was told no. I had my ticket and wrist band but security person got in my face and said I would have to buy another ticket to get back in. I got another ticket and security person reluctantly let me back in. It was obvious that they were not happy about it. WTF? Be aware of this if you go and don’t expect to be treated like an honest person.

It was a nice venue but found it odd that they had Malibu rum but no pineapple juice. No bad seats really.

Went to see Whitey Morgan here. great show. Not a bad seat or view in the place. Very ornate theater. Clean bathrooms. Good pricing on drinks. Just need to offer snacks or something. Waited inline outside for an hours and then show over at 11:00. Long time to go without a snack or something if you are drinking or traveled out of town to come to a show. You cant leave and come back so was starving by end of show.

The policies they have in place are far too restricting and some of the security guards are way too sensitive. You can get kicked out for not even breaking any rules simply because a guard may single you out the more excited the crowd gets.

This venue gets a top rating from me. I love visiting small music venues in the Midwest and this is probably my favorite one so far. I love the layout. Theres no bad spot in the house. Sound quality was on point. Overall great concert experience. I hope to visit this venue for a show again in the future!

I always have a great time at the Castle. Other patrons are extremely kind and considerate to me, being disabled. The younger folks, especially. I love the atmosphere and wide variety of acts.

Drove all the way to here from Michigan to see a show (Mother Hips with Quiet Company) Fantastic show in a great venue. Wonderful ambiance. Decent drink prices and friendly staff. Well worth the drive.
