I was looking for the perfect event space for my daughters Sweet 16 and I found it at FAR Wedding and Events. Abigail the event planner was a joy to work with and easily accessible. She took time to answer all of my questions and concerns and was always timely in her response back. The space is absolutely stunning and has so much character already. I love that the cost comes with all of the chairs, tables, audio, projector and microphone equipment you need to have a great party. If you are looking for a great space to host your next event look no further than FAR Wedding and Events! You will not be disappointed.

We recently attended a wedding here and I was so impressed by this venue. Our event had a change of plans that moved the dinner inside to the big gallery from the garden patio due to severe weather but everything was managed beautifully! The large venue space has awesome large glass “garage doors” that creates an awesome wall of windows, a large white wall, and two brick surface walls- it’s awesome. There was ample space for dancing, buffet, dinner tables and freedom to arrange things however you’d like! Large, clean, modern restroom facilities, space for an open bar. Never felt crowded. Loved the “garden deck” area and back room with awesome velvet couch and large table, bookshelves full of art books and was a great space for visiting. Accessible, modern, clean, beautiful. I want a reason to have a party here!

Gorgeous venue, love the exposed brick combined with the sleek contemporary elements. Theres a large outdoor patio as well. This would be an excellent choice to host an event.

This is such a beautiful venue that was the perfect spot to host my best friend’s bridal shower! I had an amazing experience from beginning to end, and our coordinator, Abigail, was super helpful with planning and answering all of my questions! She made my visions for the shower become a reality. We held the shower in the library room which included the foyer to serve food and the bar to serve drinks. Our guests loved this venue, and I highly recommend!

We celebrated the welcome reception of our wedding at FAR on October 5th, 2018.The goal of our wedding was to feature Bloomington and make all the events walkable. We also wanted our guests to be able to enjoy Indiana’s incredible fall weather, but there really wasn’t a venue downtown with an outdoor space. A restaurant would have come with a pricey bill, and we also had to consider the chance of rain. It was two months before my wedding that I came across FAR on Instagram, and inquired about the Theater, their largest venue space.We immediately liked FAR’s airy contemporary space, and the option to open the large garage-style doors. Our wedding was going to be very romantic, so we were looking for a minimalist space as a contrast. FAR reminded us of an art loft. We decorated in clean white, and made the vintage vinyl records, bar, and gorgeous food our main features. The catering was provided by Sazon Mexican Cuisine and our friends were the bartender and DJ; it worked out great.By happy coincidence our event was scheduled on the same day as Bloomington’s monthly Gallery Walk. We did not have any issues whatsoever sharing the space with a simultaneous event, actually we embraced it, and our guests made the walk part of their evening. When our event ended, choosers strolled downtown to have drinks at the bars on the square.Our experience with FAR was great from beginning to end. The entire staff was so helpful and proactive. They were able to anticipate and deliver on every one of our needs, which made the whole experience stress-free for us. The price for the space and service was very fair, and includes use of their tables and chairs, too. I highly recommend FAR to you for your special event; this space is very versatile and can be easily adapted to any type of event.It’s very Bloomingon.

Words cannot explain how beautiful this space truly is! The design, the layout, the thought of leaving some of the historic pieces of the original building for people to see has really created a wonderful environment to take in some of the most amazing art collections in town. Stop by....you will NOT regret it!

Amazing venue. Love the front gallery, and the neighboring event space creates a really intimate setting for creatives and their productions!

The FAR Center is simply gorgeous! I love the modern look mixed with historic elements. Bloomington is lucky to have such an amazing space!

I cannot rave enough about The FAR Center, how wonderful, accommodating, and welcoming the staff are, and just how incredible of a space this is for the Bloomington community. Not only does Pictura Gallery, housed within FAR, bring leading contemporary photographs and curate wonderful gallery shows, the performance and events space are equally impressive and beautiful. Having hosted a major LGBTQ+ nonprofit event at the center with approximately 150 people in attendance, the space was not cramped, flowed well, and the staff was generous with their help and resources. I am looking forward to having many more events in the space!
