An older hotel. Friendly staff. It is exactly a well kept facility and needs updating. For example the coating on the tub was peeling off. Quite disgusting. The pool and slides were enjoyed by the children in our group. The bar staff were friendly. The rooms definitely need updating and attention to workmanship. It was nice to see people with developmental challenges employed on the cleaning staff. Their supervisor was friendly and attentive.

I wasn’t happy with my stay here at all. My family and I stayed two nights and our room didn’t get serviced not once. And what was even more gross was finding a pair of women’s bikini bottoms in the room closet. I have never stayed in a hotel and found anything like that before. When I went to check in, the woman in the lobby was not very friendly. She didn’t speak much and was very curt with me. I don’t think my family and myself will ever stay here again.

My husband and I had our grooms supper and gift opening for our wedding at the Ramkota as well as our block of rooms reserved there. Their event manager Becky, went above and beyond to help accommodate us. The food was great! I underestimated the amount of guests at the supper and they quickly brought in another table with no issue. Becky made me wish we had done our reception there as well since she was so great to work with! I had to deal with a very condescending attitude from the fancy venue we did book our reception at :( Do yourself a favor and book your event there if you want above and beyond customer service!

All was great except for the lack of tables in the pool area. I know it isnt the hotels fault and they have regulations to follow. But, some people had 3 or 4 round tables put together and used all of them, leaving many guests with no place to sit or put their belongings. Maybe they could look at getting bigger or perhaps rectangle tables?

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Please read more accurate reviews on google or tripadvisor before risking your familys health and safety. The positive reviews on expedia are so wildly inaccurate and deceptive that I seriously question their authenticity. Anyone who was pleased with the cleanliness of this hotel must have unbelievably low standards. This is eithout a doubt the dirtiest hotel I have ever had the misfortune to visit. I literally had to bring in my own clorox wipes from the car to clean sticky goo from our counters and night stand. There was accumulated dust and dirt on the floor of the bathroom. Hallways throughout the hotel are dark, unvacuumed, and smelly. The back parking lot is littered with cigarette butts and needle caps. Screens on the windows are torn. The entire facility is filthy, dark, and dilapidated. Dont be taken in by the online photos of the pool which make it appear inviting. The water is full of hair and the waterslide is old and appears unstable. One would think that during a global pandemic, hotels would be making every effort to maintain a clean environment for their guests. Apparently not here! I am shocked that the local health department hasnt shut this place down! Please consider literally any other hotel in Bismarck. If all else fails, the back seat of your car would be a better option.

The bathroom had calking that was falling out and very discolored. The drain in the bath tub was so plugged up that while taking a shower the tub became half full. There were reports from a friend in another room that the pillow cases had blood on them! Can you now understand why I have given this rating and will not ever be staying in such a place again. The people at the front desk were fine, as they gave me a choice of a better location for the room I wanted for convenience to the meetings. In my room, the extra security lock was broken, the hairdryer did not work, the drain stopper on the tub was broken and just laying in the bath tub, the heat was stuck at about 80 degrees, and the freezer worked, but the items I put in the fridge did not stay cold even after setting the fridge to 6. In addition, I was disappointed that both of your treadmills were experiencing issues one not working in any program and the other only working in manual mode. I got up at 5:45 am to use the treadmills and one wasnt working and the other was taken. Very frustrating. If you do not do something to improve your facilities, you will lose my business, FOR SURE!

We stayed here for a conference, and while we were thrilled that there was an indoor pool area for our kiddos to keep busy all day, we were quite unimpressed with the building, which is in need of a makeover. It seems that they did an update at some point, however the efforts put forth were obviously implemented with minimal efforts. This was evident with the “updated” lobby signage being adhered to the old signage, rather than removing and replacing. The rooms are decent size, however there was mold in the showers, and our interior facing room was noisy from the aforementioned pool area brimming with kids as early as 8:00.All in all, not a bad place, but some time and money for updates would easily make this a solid place to stay!

This hotel had great potential but management failed to keep the areas clean especially the rooms we checked in to our room and it was very dirty there was lint all over the floor there was an M&M on the floor the mirror in the bathroom had childrens handprints all over it the tub had mold and mildew all around the edge there was dust all over the floor in the corners that looked like it had never been vacuumed . When I turned back the comforter there were stains on it and there was a stain on the carpet so we asked to be moved. We checked that room out and as I checked the bed and the mattress by pulling up the sheet the whole side of the mattress was torn out so that you could see the Springs inside of the mattress so that room was also unacceptable so they finally moved us to a refurbished room which happened to be very nice except for somebody had left food in the freezer of the refrigerator and trash in the trash can had not been emptied .It seems like housekeeping isnt doing theyre jobs and management accepts that.We definately do not recommend this hotel . Pool area was nice for kids, and families on a budget might think its fine, but people who travel frequently will be disappointed.

The staff is typically helpful and professional and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of a number of restaurants as well as the mall. For families traveling with kids, the hotel has a great indoor pool area with water slides and other kid-friendly activities. My only complaints with this hotel are that the rooms are fairly dated and drab. The Ramkota Hotel and Conference center might better be called the Labrynth of Neglect, but the god Pan refused to have his name on such an embarrassment. Lets start with the convention center areas. with meeting rooms sprinkled randomly throughout two interconnected buildings and no visible signage, you can rarely make it from one session to another simply because you cant find it. When you do get there, mostly middling technology and past-date decor lends a stifling atmosphere. If you want an efficient, enjoyable conference, look elsewhere. On the guesr rooms: The furniture and bedding looks like it came straight out of a 1980s motel 6--cheap, dated, with the heavy wear you would expect. There is allegedly wifi throughout the building, though staff admit some rooms simply dont have a signal, so you cant even distract yourself from the dingy yellow glow of a pair of lamps. Even when you can find wifi, its spotty and slow, with limited connections. The big question is: why is the wall STICKY? I shouldnt have to say that anywhere there havent been a busload of early elementary kids, and yet, the walls in my room were sticky, with brown drips in several places. Old water damage? sewage seep? Maple syrup party by a previous guest? who knows? There also appear to be sewage stains in the bathtub, and the wall tile hadnt been cleaned in far too long--there shouldnt be a gradient color change in the grout.and while were piling on: the weird architectural brick of random segments of wall. Im sure it looked cool and artistic when it was fresh, clean, and it hadnt sagged with age. None of those things apply today. It DOES have location in its favor; hopefully someone knocks this place down and rebuilds a decent convention hotel in its place.
