My kids have learned to swim in their first month! They spent a year in a different program and did not learn to swim. Im so delighted with the seriousness of your instruction. They love their swim class.

The precautions taken are thoughtful and impactful. Kendall loves being back at the Goldfish Swim and this has allowed her to have an element of normalcy. She enjoys seeing and interacting with her swim mates and the staff. The flexiglass dividers are very nice and allow the children to see and talk with each other. Thank you!

Your swim instructor Ms. Kelly (I think) is amazing! She is doing a great job with my son and in just over a month he has already learned so much and has gotten much more confident in the water. He went from hating putting his face in the water to now wanting to be a master swimmer as he puts it. The rest of the staff is friendly, good with kids and very welcoming. I really have no complaints. Also, I feel that the COVID safety measures are being appropriately applied and you have created a fun, safe environment.

The safety measures that goldfish has put in place makes me feel safe and confident when bringing my daughter for her classes! We really enjoy coming to class every week and everyone is very friendly.

This place has a very magnificent pool. It is clean and the new water slides are great. The staff and lifeguards are very helpful and kind. This is an awesome place to have a great time and hang with friends. I will definitely return back with more friends together with our little children. Highly recommend!!

All the teachers and pool managers are amazing. So many have helped my 2.5 year old transition to going without me- they all obviously care so much, are so patient, and have even comforted me in hard moments.

We have had an amazing experience so far at Goldfish Swim School. My son loves the water and looks forward to his lesson each week. The staff are amazing and patient with everyone, and provide excellent instruction.

Everyone here is extremely friendly, the amenities are wonderful, nice and clean building and safety is important, number one. But their instructors, after 2 summers, have not been able to successfully work with my daughters fear of the water and she hasnt progressed. We have tried a handful of instructors that are usually college kids home for summer. There needs to be more in depth training for multipletechniques to help those who have fears. Have heard similar things from other moms who also left Goldfish and went with a local teacher instead. Progression is rapid outside of Goldfish for those struggling. This will be a good place for your kid if they enjoy the water though. *** As much as I appreciate the response from Goldfish... They couldve told me that at any point over 2 years, instead the chose to take my money and promise that my daughter would improve.***

We continue to be amazed, impressed, and thoroughly satisfied with the Goldfish experience. Both of our children have learned to swim there, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The instructors are awesome with the kids, and the facilities are clean. Of course, the program can’t be beat and is proven. Finally, I can’t speak highly enough of the support that our local school (Birmingham) provides to the community. They are a very generous sponsor for many of our community fundraisers, and the management couldn’t be more helpful and cooperative. We know that we have a true partner in the community in Goldfish.

We have been coming to Goldfish for 6 years we love Goldfish! Best staff anywhere! My kids love coming for swim classes and my six year old is a excellent swimmer due to the instruction he received at Goldfish.

My family has enjoyed our experience at Goldfish in Birmingham. The infant class is 30 minutes and it always starts and ends on time. The teachers keep my 1.5 year old engaged and he is becoming a great swimmer. He floated on his back last month, we are so proud.The front desk staff are also very kind and make check-in very simple.This location can be busy on week nights although they are very efficient and have enough staff to handle all of the families.

We have been coming to goldfish for over 3 years and couldn’t be happier with this swim school! As a parent it is amazing to see your 6 and 3 year old love the water, swim the four major strokes confidently, and be water safe. The program and lessons are the best we have seen amongst many other swim programs. The relationships our children have built with their instructors and staff have made a huge impact on their love of Goldfish too!

Parking lot is a joke, all the moms drive way too fast and almost run you over in their SUVs. They dont even look to see if any kids are walking to or from the building or if youre pulling your car out of the parking space. Parking lot is small so you should drive 5mph, meanwhile they are doing at least 15mph +.

The swim teacher & staff are super attentive. We literally have loved every teacher my girls have had over the past year. Each time they move up a level, I worry about them being able to connect to a new teacher - but it is just never a problem. I have confidence now that if my five-year-old fell into the pool, she would be able to easily swim to the side and get herself out.

They have very nice facility. Its always clean and the staff is very helpful. The method of instruction is good it focuses on breaking down strokes and positive encouragement. However that can mean a child will stay at the same level with little progress of they are extremely fearful of the water. The instructors respond very well to children who need extra help. They do have some open swims if you do take lessons here, its nice and warm in the winter.

Thanks for helping my daughter to learn swimming. The teachers are very good and well trained my daughter loves coming back every time. I have a great appreciation for the very helpful staff either at the front desk or on the pool deck. Thanks for the hospitality, its worth more than what is paid for.

Lovely, safe and engaging environment for little ones (my guy is 2) to thrive in the water! Worth every penny, as my son loves being in the water and they are teaching him not only the fundamentals of how to be in the water but also how to get in and out!

I agree with some of the other reviews, the progress is very slow. They do not push your child to move quicker, perhaps on purpose? It is annoying to see the turnover of teachers and my kids get behind. My kids do like it here and it is better than a community pool. Staff is friendly but some teachers are more engaged than others.

Worth it! My son (3.5 yr) was fearful of water outside his bath tub but his whole attitude has changed since joining and now we have to stop him from falling in. He has tried several instructors (we had to switch schedules due to travels, bad weather, etc.) and they were all great! He loves going to these classes and the facility is nice and people are friendly!

My daughter has spent 2 years here and still in the Level 1 group. They changed the teacher frequently, sometimes she would have a new teacher each 2 month. Every teacher just let her do the same things, get the float, big arm, and so on. They never let her swim more than three meters. Actually she can swim more than 10 meters at least by herself. In this case, how does she improve????I have talked to the teacher many times and things keep going on. Very disappointed!!! 2 Years~~ A lot of money and time has been wasted~~I have talked to the manager at the front desk ,but they said nothing they can do about it. It must be a joke~~ You mean a 7 years girl cannot level up to 2nd level after studying here for more than 2 year?? Do the teacher really help her to make progress? Or does the school really care about its student??Very very unhappy~~!!!

My 2 year old son goes to goldfish. We originally got a gift certificate to go here and thought we would have him go for a month or two. Now it has been six months and my son has really learned a ton. He loves going to the classes. He has had three different instructors and they all have been very good with him. I would highly recommend for those who have toddlers.

My daughters are learning to swim, learning to swim well, and are loving their classes and teachers.

They did a great job taking my kids basic swim skills to the next level. My kids are now confident and can swim well.

Our kids love it here. Ms Sam, Mr Colton, and Mr Josh are always very helpful! Starting at 6mo, both have truly progressed and can swim on their own. Its amazing!

This place is great! We started my daughter here as soon as they would let her start at 4 months old. It is a great place to go in the winter because it is so warm all the time. The teachers are all great with the kids. There are tons of great toys, slides, canoes, etc. Theyve thought of everything, they have blowdriers, extra diapers (in case you forget), showers. Some of the parents are a bit oblivious though so keep an eye out.

The place is awsome. The teachers are very caring and knowledgeable. It has been a positive experience for me and my son.

My daughter has been in swim lesson since June 2016. Amazingly, she learned and still learning from the instructor so fast. The goal of the way they encourage the children is to believe in themselves that they can improve beyond their capability. My child will continue to take lessons from them.„

A waste of time and money. With 4 students to a 25 minute class, theres not nearly enough individual attention. Constantly changing teachers and poor customer service. Miss days and you wont be allowed to make them up. Much better to spend hundreds of dollars on semiprivate lessons and have something to show for it.

I dont have any children, but I do coach for a summer swim team in the area. My younger swimmers that learn from Goldfish are far more advanced in comparison to other kids in their age group (by a large margin). The child-focus approach they bring to teaching children how to swim blows away any other program. Kids love swimming at Goldfish and with their heated pool, fun teachers, colorful environment, and a ton of games and prizes, why wouldnt they??? When I have children I will undoubtedly send my kids to their program.

We love Goldfish swim school! Our baby became safely comfortable in the water. As first-time parents, we also learned how to be safely comfortable, and consistent, with our baby in the water.

Changing rooms were dirty and always over capacity. Missed lesson policy is a joke. My child learned nothing in 4 months that I could not have done myself with scheduled time in any pool. Dont waste your money

Consistency of qualified instructors is very important for us. Our previous school had quite a but of turnover which made classes not fun for our little one.
