Great course to play at all levels. Weather was not best do we stopped after 9 and had a great lunch. Great service in value and facilities.

Valley course was in pristine conditions. Fast and true greens. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great time. Gorgeous setting. Great value.

Played the par 3 course. It is challenging and extremely well kept! Had a great time!

Great golf. Really like the driving range. Buy a trail card. Great discount. Pays for itself pretty quickly. The PAR 3 is awesome. Good place to work on your short game.

I played the Ridge at 0700 today Friday 10/23/20. The course was in great shape. The workers were very friendly and respectful. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Taking lessons from Thompson golf academy is a great experience . The instructors are professional and helpful. It’s very laid back. They improved my game tremendously and did it quickly.

I can tell you.... My game was horrible, the course was in ok shape(weather) , and it was a great day to be with my brothers.But the best part of our day was the professionalism and patience of the marshalls. They had so much to overcome. A couple of rain delays, golfers who wanted to do what THEY wanted to do rather than follow the safety precautions, and the marshalls kept their calm in spite of the obstacles. Even the cart ambassadors did good to keep the outside area organized.I was impressed with the leadership and hospitality. Thank you!

We played course today paid $$$$ which was to munch based on all the courses we have played, pace of play was slow, some greens had issues. Playing muscle shoals and than this course big difference.. But overall was fun to play...

We played the valley course. Its in fantastic shape. The greens are quick. Its a little pricey. But that might be because I am spoiled by Florida prices.

Really great course. The clubhouse staff is super friendly. The food is also pretty good as well. The course is always in great condition as well. Even the par 3, which at a lot of golf courses is not kept up as well as the full length course, is super nice here. The driving range is always in great condition as well, and even has turf pads to use on days where the grass is too wet.

Great course, ridge is harder than valley. Both are in good shape.

$104 to play this past Saturday. I love the place but it is not $104 value. This was without a trail card or getting a trail card as part of the price. Was told the card could only be used on weekdays so 3 of our 4 did not buy one. First time Ive ever heard this.Greens are in very good condition. The fairways are good. A few tee boxes were dead. Ill be back as I have played there for years, but 3 new guys came with me. They will not be back for that price/condition

Beautiful golf club. They have two courses here to choose from. Normal pricing for 18 with a cart is around $70-80 but you can get twighlight rates toward the end of the day in the $20-30 range. The greens are large, forgiving and well maintained. The staff is friendly and the club is simple but classy. One of the guys on staff driving around stopped to give me a cold towel and a glass of icewater which was a nice touch. I plan to return. Great experience.

If the greens had been in better shape it would have been 5 star. They had some vandalism on the greens with a 4 wheeler & irresponsible young man this spring. More than unfortunate, criminal.

What a waste of time, money and effort. when you pay $100 for a single round your expect greens to be decent at least. the Valley greens are SAD!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on the valley course!What a disappointment! I havent played RTJ in a long time and will not be back for a long while....

The course was unbelievably beautiful, but the yardages were tough to play and all the greens are elevated or crowned. There must have been a heavy rain recently because a lot of the ground was squishy and soft. Played the ridge course, glad to check out valley.

Beautiful layout, challenging greens

This is my family home course. We always have great experience here. Everybody who works there is friendly, helpful, and professional. Also, golf academy is great. It offers junior and adult classes all year round. My golf game improves after taking lessons from the Academy.

Nice course but way over priced for what it is. There are nicer courses in the Bham area that I would choose over this one that are priced better.

Drove from Montgomery al. to play the valley course. Was very disappointed with the green conditions as this was not up to rtj standards. Will not return to the valley course

We traveled from out of state, in early April, just to get on the RTJ Trail. Even before we left, I had some question for the pro shop and they were extremely helpful. Then we got there an hour before our tee time, and they were, again, great. The carts have USB chargers, so if you use an app on your phone for distance, you wont run out of juice on the course (make sure to pack your own cord).The Ridge is a beautiful course that winds through woods. There are only houses a couple of the holes, so it is a peaceful place to play. The course is challenging, but not punishing even if you dont hit the fairway. There was a big storm the night before, so the greens were a little slow (a couple in our foursome played the par 3 before the rain and they were running very fast). I cant wait to get back.The only thing that wasnt great was the driving range. It wasnt level. However, since its early season I wont ding them for that.

This is an excellent golf facility with 36 holes and a 18 short course. I didnt get to play the short course but the ridge course was excellent. Ive never seen a place that has both bent grass greens and bermuda greens. The valley course was not as good in my opinion but maybe that was because they had punched the greens about two week prior and they were not in prime condition. However I would recommend both these courses to anyone.

WOW what a course! This was my first time playing an RTJ COURSE and it was definitely an experience! Beautiful scenery and prestige course layout...

Played there for bachelor party, was told we wouldnt be able to finish by their Marshall...course refused to raincheck our round...very disappointed with their action. I work for a major golf course and we know Hospitality is the main goal

Beautiful place to chase golf balls for a half day!

Course was ripped up pretty badly by vandals. Starter let several two-somesin a row which really slowed things down. Course drainage not the best so very sloppy and muddy, which meant a lot of walking from the path. Course was challenging, which is about the only plus. Overall, not the best course Ive ever played.

Definitely a nice golf course, hilly and very challenging. Nice views almost seems like youre playing a mountain course and was a lot of fun. The only thing that sucked was having to pay for range balls after the money Id spent to pay to play, I expect that out of a $30 round public course. Cart attendants very professional but the dude in the golf shop who checked us in needs to leave the ego at the door he wasnt too receptive.

Played The Ridge course and it is in great condition. Greens roll true and fairways are well maintained.

Cool spot especially if you are into golf! If not, nice bar with craft beer awaits you.

Really enjoyed the Valley course. Traveled from out of town just to play this and Ross Bridge. Truthfully, this course was in much better condition than Ross Bridge when we visited the first of October. A lot less worn out. There’s two holes where it’s high elevation changes, but otherwise it’s flat and in the valley. Kind of forgettable layout, but still a lot of fun for the money.

Whoever is laying the new grass on the paths are doing an exccellent job. Really has improved the appearance tremendously

The Ridge course is in very good condition. With as little rain as weve had, thats saying something.

Both the Ridge and Valley Golf Courses were excellent. Worth the trip to Alabama.

Great course. The best fairways I have seen this Spring. Greens had nice bent grass and rolled smoothly. Tee boxes well manicured. The course is very hilly and many times you will have odd lies in the fairway. Very picturesque course. Driving range is big and pretty. For the price of $90, I will give it 4 star but easily could be 5 star.

Very challenging courses. We played the Ridge. Despite the heat, the Bentgrass greens were true and rolling well. The Valley Course has Bermuda greens. Also an 18 hole short course (par 3s). Staff was friendly, lots of water (to drink) on course. Beverage carts were also running continuously.

Bent grass and perfectly manicured. The ridge is arguably the most difficult course I have played. You will want to bring extra balls and your A game.

If your willing to pay the price handshands down one of the best golf courses ive ever seen

Awesome golf course. Two 18 holes courses, The Ridge and Valley. They have an 18 hole par 3 course as well. All 3 are in great condition, greens and fairways. The driving range is always in great condition as well. Friendly staff and food is great also. Been playing here for years and will continue to be back

Very nice course that is part of the trail. One of the few semi-private/public courses in Birmingham. 36 regular holes with18 hole short course (par 3)that is one of the best around. Only negative would be the valley course (18 long course) Does not come back to the club house after the 9th.

I have really enjoyed playing all of the courses here, they are in great shape any time of year. Between the 2 full courses, the par 3 short course and practice areas, you can easily find time to play and practice or both! The staff is beyond friendly, very knowledgeable and always helpful.

We had just enough time to play the short course, an 18 hole executive. Greens in great shape, but very undulating and fast, you will have some there putts. Highly recommend, it was great fun.

Played the Valley course for the twilight rate of 33 bucks with a cart. Course is in excellent condition and is a fun, challenging, and fair layout. Will definitely be back to try the Ridge course.

As with all RTJ courses, Oxmoor is a delight to play. Always in great shape but can get a bit crowded.

The greens are brown and bumpy and the fairway is decent

The Oxmoor campus very hard to find. I wanted to get a trail card for a friend and went to the RTJ website that stated the location would be open til 8pm. I got of work at 430pm from Rev Abraham woods Blvd and it once I FINALLY found it . It was close, I returned back to the website and found a 800# just for someone to tell oh no the courses usually close at sunset(I dont play golf was I suppose to know or should the website tell me, just saying) anyway trying to find this place even with GPS was a task there arent any sign letting you know you are heading in the right direction, there is a neighborhood there and you feel like your trespassing.

Ive played all the RTJ courses. Ross Bridge was definitely the best. Views are spectacular. Course was in great shape. Ill definitely go back.

Ridge course seems to be in better shape due to all the construction going on at the Valley course, which no one cared to mention when my tee time was made.

My friend and I came in from out of town and played 54 holes in two days. This place is amazing! Some very challenging holes and beautiful views. All the staff was extremely helpful and polite.
