Really lovely museum. My partner and I went on our first date there. We were the only people in the museum that evening. The docent gave us free tickets to our very own planetarium show. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, I’ll cherish the memory forever :)

Recently had an event at the mansions ballroom. It is a beautiful space. While you have to provide everything but the tables & chairs, the staff worked with me to get all my decorations and dessert, plates, napkins, etc up to the top floor. It really is a blank canvas that you can make as formal or informal as you wish. Everyone had a great time, and then spent some time wandering around the rest of the mansion and museum.

Walked through when the Christmas trees were set up. Definitely very informative and interesting to see all the different countries and the decor they use. The train display was amazing, some serious effort was put into that setup that cant be ignored. Highly recommend getting a guided tour to fully appreciate the history of the house. We didnt get the tour and ended up not being that impressed but historical locations arent high on our visit list and we had a 2 year old who wouldnt have lasted.

Very cool attraction to visit whether you are coming in from out of town or a local. Theres a famous Christmas tree exhibit every year, several photography and art exhibits and a massive model train that showcases historical parts of the Southern Tier, perfect for adults and children alike. My favorite part of the museum is the planetarium, the shows there are fascinating and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Worth checking out!

Roberson Museum is a staple of the local community. If youre attending a party, viewing an art exhibit, or visiting the planetarium or museum shop youre sure to have a fantastic time. I have even taken pottery class at the museum also and it was an excellent experience. If you are attending an event such as the Masquerade Ball or the Christmas tree display, be sure to arrive early...parking is limited!

At the Phelps Museum and at the Bundy House one must visit with a tour guide at ones side. The Munson Williams Proctor house doesnt allow visitors into the rooms. At the two historical locations, the guides have great training, truly know what to say. At the Phelps, my guide had to put a polish of her doctoral thesis. The Roberson has allowed me to roam the mansion unattended and even has a seat or two where I can sit down and use my imagination to reach back into the past. The Eastman in Rochester had rooms and furnishings off limits too but allocated two rooms where visitors could sit as guests. I feel honored and moved to have this access.

I went to RoberCon Sunday 9- 25- 2016 , it was my first time going to that event also my last time going because there was no one there to show a new person around , or give Guided Tour & all the people work there had schedule time of the event but was not handing out schedules to anyone that visited the event . I that there at 1 pm & wanted to sign up for the costume contest but sign up end at 1 pm , so how would i know that when i just got there ? the video games was a big disappointment too & yo me feel like everyone there was only there to make a fast buck for them self , how can they have members at Roberson Museum when they dont know how to make first time visitors feel welcome ? Chase Masterson was the only real nice person there that i met

I went to Roberson while I was on vacation in upstate NY. Nice mansion, and a nice art gallery. There is even a train set of Binghamton, Great Bend, Susquehanna, Johnson City, Endicott, that whole area set in the 40s. But, some mansion rooms are not accessible, they are probably used for storage.? Im not sure, but, thumbs up!
