I live about 2 hours and 15 minutes away and we stop here because my son loves carousels and i didnt tell he we were stopping here because i wanted to surprise him but i was the one that was in for a big surprise. this park as so much to offer. pool, baseball, basketball, tennis, jogging and a play area that will keep your kids busy all day. they have so much to climb on, slide on and even musical displays. then you have a 1919 indoor CAROUSEL!!!!! very town should have a place like this! then to top it off there were two young men play Indie Folk songs. what a way to end the perfect day. oh yeah, everything is free but you do have to pay 25 cents for kids and 50 cents for adults to go in the pool. i commend the town of Binghamton for giving their town a great park and not putting money first.
Rec Park carousel is one of nicest carousel around. Its staff was very friendly especially when you have 2 mentally challenge adults. Love the new hours I hope it stays,
As you would expect. Petrified horses with expressions of great effort doomed to run in circles. No hope of escape. Dreams of the outside world dashed time and again as the wheel in their boxed in sky keeps on turning. Delightful for children
Nice park, wonderful carousel with a cool history. Ride all 6 in the binghamton area and get a button that says you rode the circuit. Free!!
First time we ever been there and we were not disappointed my kids loved it there is so much to see and do
Beautiful restored carousel! Very nice park.
Best park around. I went there as a child took my kids there. I have taken many visiting relatives from out of town that never experienced a carousel and loved it.
We love coming here with the grandkids, ride the carousel many times over, the playground is awesome and well kept!
Have loved the carousel as a child, met ex there as an employee, took my son there and now share it with my grandchildren! Such memories!
Beautiful clean carousel
The Biggest and best maintained carousel in the area. The wurlitzer band machine is usually in operation and its a real unique feature. This carousel pays homage to Rod Serling and the twilight zone in the scenic banners inside. This large carousel boasts 4 horses abreast! The ponies on the inner ring are just a little smaller and the horses on the outer edge are often bejeweled and a little larger.Always free to ride!
Great carousel and gazebo-Be sure to look for the Rod SerlingMarker on the gazebo floor.
You spin me right round baby
Impressive historical carousel that is free to the public!
Make sure you see the mister softee ice cream truck while he is there.
