One of my favorite places in the area! The exhibitions are always good with great works of art. Dean Mitchells paintings are incredibly beautiful and I consider myself lucky to been able to see the this time. There is always something new to appreciate here.

Friday, Nov. 13 2020: While the museum is technically still open, most of the exhibits are currently closed. You can visit the cafe, gift shop, one section of one gallery, the rooftop and the house. At no charge. The staff is very nice, and I look forward to returning when theyre fully recovered and reopened.

Great staff and a wonderful experience. I will return as soon as I am able. I will be sure to allow more time and I hope to be able to donate some time and effort in the near future. I felt welcomed by everyone that I spoke to.I was not only able to view the art created in the past I was able to see the art currently being created. I hope that I can contribute to some of the new work in 1 way or another.Thank you one and all

My husband and I were on a short two day getaway visit at the Beau Rivage on our way back from visiting family in mobile! We are not gamblers; it was more of a time out for us; we love to explore the local attractions and the museum with the Frank Gerry buildings with its unmistakable unique characteristics caught my attention right off the bat! was excited to go visit! Sadly we waited till the rainy morning of our last day, and it was closed we learned, as we stumbled into the staff meeting! I was heart broken but then this fantastic young lady offered to give us a tour!!! I was elated and so touched by her kindness! She didn’t mind getting rained on holding her umbrella mostly over my head! What a kind soul! The exhibits are beautiful of course! The beauty of the the complexly intricate building is the most rewarding experience! I have been a fan of Frank Gehry designs (my favorite the dancing house). Thank you Ms. Erin! I am ever grateful to you!

My husband and I absolutely loved this little museum. We spent 2 hours here. Dont get in a hurry. Talk to the artists, instructors, and docents. Make sure you visit the gift store. Lots of local art work for sale. Remember, buy art from artist who are living, the dead ones dont need the money!

I ventured out here just hoping to see some different art. They ended up having some really interesting artist spotlights, and some very helpful staff. The cafe inside the main building has some nice treats. The architecture of the museum is fantastic. The gift shop spotlights local artists and has some really genuinely great work for sale. I stopped by just hoping to enjoy some art, but ended up chatting with staff and having a great time!

The staff and facilities are really nice, and the architecture is beautiful. The primary exhibit for George Ohr is really interesting and the permanent exhibit explaining Biloxis de-segregation was well put together. There is a dynamic array of exhibits and art with pottery, painting, photography, and glass blowing being a few. There is a full ceramics facility with full staff able to handle multiple classes and open studio hours daily. Highly recommend this artistic gem!

Great experience. You wont view pottery like this anywhere else. Each piece is a unique treasure. Was surprised at how many different mediums of art were displayed in several unusually shaped separate buildings . Enjoyed shopping in the gift shop. Found restored old house to be very interesting. Highly recommend that you check out this museum.

I found the two visiting art exhibits to be in appropriately political and offensive. It doesnt take strength to be proactive and politically correct. There is no courage in their message. Art should be open and inclusive - and beautiful. These exhibits were not, on any front. Would the Ohr-OKeefe present my art with a philosophy which opposed these messages? I bet not. I will not be back.

The pottery is beautiful and its amazing how much they have, considering how much was lost in Biloxi during Camille & Katrina. The entire staff is wonderful, always making you feel welcome. Best is... they offer fun and interesting clay classes ranging from 2hrs to 6weeks. Ive taken a few already.

A unique gallery! Thoroughly enjoyed the varied shape, sizes, textures and colors of Ohr pottery. The outlandish folklore surrounding the man was as interesting as his ware. The work of Ferguson had many wonderful political messages regarding environment and civil rights. The museum itself is a work of art with its many levels and shapes. Highly recommend this as a must see in a visit to Biloxi!!

Wonderful building indeed !! And surrounded by centuries old trees which have witstood many a Katrina, the museum is a vivid testimony of hope for the future. I could only see the outside (closed on Sunday) but to me it is a vibrant example of what a museum of today stands for. A real masterpiece in itself, honoring the art of the potter. Worth exiting the I-10, if not for the horrible casinos ...though they did contribute their money. Must be seen absolutely !!

My fiancee and I booked the beginners class at 50 dollars. I asked questions about glaze options that Natalea forwarded to Charlie Mabry. He never bothered to answer that email. We went to the class. It was fun and something I had wanted to do for a long time. We paid for 1 extra piece. Charlie said about 3 weeks to ship. A month and some days later and after having to inquire about it the pottery arrived via USPS. The box was not damaged on the outside but the contents were mostly destroyed. The packing was worthless just worthless. The first piece of pottery I ever made is just a pile of chips. I put a lot of effort into making a nice cup my 1st time. I feel ripped off. I would not be able to reccomend these folks at all. Take the money then showed us you dont care. Just worthless.

Id rate this museum on a scale of 1 to 100 as a minus 1,000. Very bad. His pottery is crap. What bothers me the most, is Katrina money was used to build this piece of garbage. Huge waste of space in each room. Huge waste of talented peoples work could be here or historical objects related to Katrina. Being from Iowa, I didnt know anything about Katrina. Reading that there was some information about Katrina at this museum; I was anxious to view the display. It gave me nothing but mostly newspaper clippings. Really?

Ok, My sister is studying art history so I took her here cause this is her thing. We loved the pottery and the story of OKeefe! But there isnt much else. I like the idea of the Katrina exhibition but there isnt much there. The buildings are gorgeous! Along with the location. I believe that over time this museum could grow into something magical. $10 per person. Discounts for students, senoirs, military, and others.

I enjoyed my visit to the Ohr-O-Keefe Museum. George Ohrs pottery was amazing. I was disappointed that all of the pods werent open, but there were many other exhibits available. My favorite part of the visit was talking with the potters in the workshop. I didnt realize how many classes were available. As a local resident, I love it that so much happens at the museum.
