A truly amazing old theatre that brings a certain something to Beverlys downtown space. Go for an amazing show and check out some of the history while youre there. Easy entry, tiered seating, and great acoustics make the Cabot a must for any love music fan. Looks like they still show films as well. Would love to go back.

Great venue to see a band! Beautiful interior. The bathrooms... at least the mens room needs to be renovated or expanded. Like to see better liquor selection... not a full bar, but a bit more. Not the Cabots fault, but the RHCPs sound was full of mistakes and was difficult to endure.

Traditional theater venue with a small intimate feel. The nonprofit organization is busy renovating in stages to preserve its original beauty but adding the modern elements to make the experience as best as possible. Staff and crew are welcoming and friendly.

This is one of my favorite venues on the North Shore. Ive seen a few shows here and enjoyed each one. Its a very intimate theater so every seat in the house is a good seat. They have craft beer and wine and also everything a movie theater would have for snacks. The next thing Ill be seeing here is a movie, I cant wait!

The Cabot theater has a local vibe to it and always shows the coolest movies or shows that would give younger viewers and option to see things that normally they wouldnt be able to. But the screen there is just a presentation sized screen on a stage and the audio is just stacked speakers. I would recommend seeing a show here rather than a movie for these reasons.

We were there for a graduation ceremony so my pictures dont focus too much on the architecture but it was cozy. The theatre had small seats, a balcony (which I didnt view), all sorts of different types of art on the walls ranging from Egyptian to Renaissance which was interesting. I dont know if they have air conditioning normally but they sure did not for our 2+ hour long wait and commencement address. Everyone was uncomfortable and hot, the bathrooms were small and outdated. I dont know if maybe it was night time and I had a few drinks and the AC was on if I would have a different opinion, very intimate place to see a live show if thats what you are looking for.

Saw a great show (Gaelic Storm) In a smaller venue than Im used to but it was great. Had seats right up front on the floor. Not cramped tiny seats like I had read in other reviews. The only thing I had an issue with was the one small restroom. I should have expected it though in a 100 year old theater.

The sound for Darlene Love was awful. It was too loud, had little dynamic range, no tone color, and no definition. When the whole group was playing loud you could not even tell what drum the drummer was hitting ! Does she do a soundcheck ? Is her sound guy deaf ? Ridiculous.

I went to see Little Feat at this great venue, what a beautiful old theater. The area along Cabot Street has some wonderful little restaurants for pre show dinners. I had never been to Beverly before. If you are looking for a new home or real estate on the North Shore then you should definitely check out this area.

The Cabot is a beautiful theater in the heart of down town Beverly. Parking is a bit of a hassle. Bit other wise this is a great venue to take in a show or movie. When I went to college 20 years ago we daw movies there all the time. Now as a non-profit they are having performers come in. The Acoustics are outstanding. The lobby isnt much to look at but the the theater is beautiful. Not a bad seat in the place. Recently saw LeAnn Rimes there. Stunning.

I had never been there before. I attend a concert last night. Great place. Old theater thats been rehabed. They did a nice job. This restored Art Deco theater, turning 100 in 2020, is a real charmer. They run movies and stage concerts (we just saw Aimee Mann and Jonathan Coulton here). Social spaces (including a street-side bar and balcony bar space) and a cabaret seating area downstairs make easy to catch up with friends before the show. Far from stuffy, The Cabot is a relaxing spot to enjoy the show (and dont miss the glorious new outdoor murals).

The Cabot Street Cinema Theatre is a remarkable place for what it offers the greater community – and beyond. Truly touches all ages with its cinema offerings and live performances for children and families, millennials, us Baby Boomers, and everybody in between. The staff is above outstanding, making your experience, in fact, an experience and one that you can talk about for a long time to come. Kudos to the Cabot!

STOP. If you are over 5’8” or a size 38 waist, you will be _shoehorned_ into your balcony seat. And I really mean shoehorned. Coach class seats on an airline will seem like an opulent luxury compared to these seats.I don’t know about the remodeled downstairs - or the balcony once they remodel it, but I’m telling you right now, I have never seen seats so small.

This is a fantastic theater, a great place to see a show. I would have given 5 stars but there sound in the balcony wasnt great. I have no idea if its the band, the acoustics of the theater, or what, but in the 4th row of the balcony it just wasnt very crisp sounding. But I wouldnt let that stop me from going back.
