If there were such a thing as a 6 star hotel, the Beverly Wilshire would be first in line. More than just a hotel, but a beautiful monument to the high standards of quality and class this city represents. This magnificent building has been sitting here on Wilshire watching the progress for almost a hundred years now. Too many famous guests to list, but you can bet if they were icons they stayed here. Some, like Elvis and John Lennon loved it so much they stayed for so long they called it home. Yes, when you book a room here you can expect and will receive the impeccable and exquisite. The Presidential and Ambassador suites will blow your mind, and even the entry level rooms will fulfill and surpass any expectations. But you will also become part of the long tradition and an icon of history. As for us locals, we all love to sit outside at The Blvd and take in the sights and sounds of the town. We also know what season it is by the changing of the colorful awnings. If you are coming to Beverly Hills, book a room here and immerse yourself fully in the experience. Please enjoy just a handful of the many images I have captured of the BW over the years. Cheers!

So knowing that is starting soon. ,Im looking forward to my next stay, to see the changes.i also think they should offer a customer use fridge/ freezer and microwave.i know they want to sell there own highly marked up snacks and drinks, however not all that stay there want to spend 12.00$ on something.costing 50 cents.

I like this hotel, I really do. I lived around the corner for years and have been there many many times. This weekend, I had guests from Germany in the run of a promotion for my client Princess for one day, Europes #1 makeover show. Two mother-daughter were flown in for an extended weekend - featuring a photoshoot with me and some sightseeing. They were all huge Pretty Woman fans, so I thought it would be a good idea to take them for afternoon drinks at the bar.I sprang for a bottle of rose champagne, one of the better ones, took them twenty minutes to find a bottle ;-).Then, after twenty minutes, the waiter came, totally apologetic, that his manager has asked us to provide IDs. Germans typically do not carry their passports when sightseeing in foreign cities, so one of the daughters - 29 years old - was not allowed to join the drinking party (I am 57, my wife 45 and our guests were 56/29 and 48/28 - while I appreciate not to serve alcohol to minors I found this quite bizarre). The manager himself did not bother, but I sensed him looking at us and seeing us a tourist group... an awkward feeling seeing him watching us all the time (to avoid any misunderstanding: we were the perfect guests appropriately dressed for a stroll on Rodeo Drive). I was very close to canceling the bottle and leaving. By the way: 20% tip were automatically added by our server ;-)Would I go again: possibly not. A shame really. After all, I spent thousands here when we had my clients staying for my photoshoots.

I am a very pleased former guest of this hotel... I spent my honeymoon evening there after my wedding, & previously my family had stayed there while visiting in town & I got to spend some quality time there with my family... I didn’t grow up with them & life wasn’t always easy, so it meant the world to me to spend our very rare time together in a beautiful & comfortable place with people taking good care of us...While all service & amenities were undeniably top tier , I want to highlight that my favorite experience at the Beverly Wilshire hotel was marrying one of their beautiful housekeepers. (This was not done for alterior motives, allow me to explain.)I left my family’s home when I was 15, & afterwords my fathers business took off. He was always a hard working man with a solid career but he was launched into the top of the food chain from what I gather based on just observation... anyway. I had never been spending time anywhere so obscenely luxurious (this is meant as a high praise, the word obscenely just seems to express how all out this hotel goes to make it a good time there) I also never had found myself immersed in such a high profile crowd. Despite many of my own clients being of that demographic, It was intense to be surrounded by the most established & powerful heavy hitters on earth lol (nobody get intimidated I was just a young guy who grew up rough & it was a shock)Since I kinda felt like an alien, I went down to the pool for a midnight swim. There was a young woman working there, folding towels etc. I knew I had to talk to her, so I did. But she didn’t speak English! So I tried flexing the year of Spanish I studied in high school. Long story short, it totally workedWe dated for about 2yrs, married in 2016 & spent a beautiful year together. We split amicably later for reasons unrelated to me & her, other problems within our families... including criminal activity my own family got involved in which I had to keep myself and others safe from.ANYWAY. I got to take “Mélisa” back to the hotel for our wedding night, we ate like royalty which was a treat for both of us... especially her who grew up in ghetto campo side of El SalvadorThe waitress for our dinner was so nice & this meant the world to me. She obviously is not always resepected in places very high end... bc she doesn’t speak English and works a very humble job... & I low key grew up on n off the street so established high profile people were people I became conditioned to expect rudeness from. Forget about me tho... for HER to have been treated like any other guest at that hotel... you can’t buy that with money. So whoever that waitress lady was: thank you from the bottom of my heartI’m sure I have more epic stories but I will spare the BW hotel the grief of finding them posted on a google review lol. I will allow you to Insert the entire book of expletives as I never want to be crass. I have stayed at several Four Seasons all over the world and never have I experienced one like this. The rooms are dated and lets be honest, quite run down. You have too many other options in the area to lower your standards by staying here. The furniture is dirty, the chairs do not match, the fridge is all dinged and it is all so dated. I feel like a motel on the Sunset Strip would have been a better choice. Also of note, there was a protest that began at 0630 this morning. The protesters returned around 4pm and thus far have remained literally outside my window for the last 3 hours. The hotel staff is aware and sympathizes, however, they have no inclination as to when the protest will be over.Banging drums, tamborines and yelling while again, right outside my window. I took a video but am unable to post on here.I come to BH 2-3 times per year and this will be my first and last time staying at this property. My level of disappointment cant even be expressed.Enclosed some photos of my suite. Judge for yourself if you want to stay here, but I do not recommend it.

If you are going for business, then this is not a hotel for you. You can request a coffee pot for your room, but dont count on an outlet being easily accessible, also bring your own creamer. There are only two outlets on desk in base of lamp, which is not very bright and not WiFi is not very strong.
