We saw The Little Hours here today and enjoyed this nun spoof comedy with a cast of SNL members. Great theatre just pricing at $17 each

Incredibly beautiful small cinema. One of the few indie cinemas that does not cut corners on quality. Very well worth the visit.

We had rented out the Ahrya for a private screening and I have to say, it was the most pleasant experience. The managers there were kind and communicative, and answered all my persistent questions. They really worked with us to ensure that our screening went according to plan, and even when there were bumps in the road on my end, they took them in stride and really did their best to help me make things work. They also made all of our guests feel really special and taken care of, and were really great at attending to our needs the night of the screening. If youre looking for a place to host your screening, look no further than the Ahrya - you wont find a more beautiful theater, or kinder employees. Also, they have killer concession food and a really great movie program, and Im definitely going there on my own to catch some of the great movies they screen!

I viewed a screening of an upcoming Disney film here. The screen was nice and clear and the audio was the same. The movie was very good as well; people are going to love it. It is a decently large auditorium with plenty of seats. I will definitely go again.

Beyond the Night Premiere @ Ahrya Fine Arts Laemmle Theater in Beverly Hills was an extraordinary event. Holly the manager of the theater was attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly, from the stars on the red carpet to the open bar, lite bites, and the DJ who rocked the reception. Thanks Laemmle! You have a good team!

What a neat place! We went for the Charles Phoenix slide show and presentation of the movie The Long Long Trailer. It was fun seeing a classic movie on a classic theatre.

Beautiful theater! I saw A Long Days Journey Into Night here and it was delightful. The theater is old but really well kept up and feels nostalgic. The location is good too because its Beverly Hills, but theres pretty good parking nearby in the neighborhood.

Really beautiful old-fashioned movie theater that somehow still operates. If you want to see the newest superhero release, this is not your destination. But if youre looking for a foreign or independent film, this would probably make you happy. And btw, Laemmle theaters are probably the most reasonable theaters in Los Angeles.

Went to see Incitement during the Israeli Film Festival last month, but the movie could not be played. To battle piracy, theaters partner with other companies (in India in this case) to activate the start of the film. It has to be coordinated. This was not coordinated, and the ball was dropped. Management stuck a make-shift comedian (employee) in front of the audience, who made crass jokes and racially-insensitive remarks about Indians, to entertain everyone while a solution was comprised. In the end, they played Love In Suspenders, but it wasnt our cup of tea so we left. Our tickets were forcefully forfeited. Management told everyone in the theater that night that the refund process would be initiated through e-mail within a couple days. It has been a month now, and there is yet to be any e-mail in my inbox. This Laemmle doesnt even have a contact number available. Looks like Ill be trekking there on foot to fight for my money back on services not rendered. Its not much, but the principle accounts for something. I also say trek because parking is painstakingly sparse, and they direct you to the tennis court parking lot a 10-minute walk away. Poor management of the aftermath atop the already horrible experience.

This is a tough review. As a theater - especially an older one - its well kept, and was a nice experience. The screen and picture quality were good. But because its an older theater, the flat seating can be very detrimental to your viewing experience - especially if its a movie that requires subtitles for English speaking audience members.

Great old movie house. They were setting up for an event though, so it was an odd time for a first visit. An employee came into the theater and walked down the aisle a couple times, sat down and was quite irritating (making fairly loud noises in a theater with only three other people at the screening).
