This was a hidden GEM! My sister & I loved it! Lovely artwork in all kinds of mediums and the artists were so friendly; especially Ms. Virginia Abbott. Her act of kindness was priceless! I will definitely come back.

A diamond in the rough. A place for all the arts. I had a 2 hour private glass blowing lesson and was able to make 4 pieces. Two of them were paperweights and one cup and a vase. The instructor was young but knowledgeable. If you have interests in the arts go take a class.

I love going here for first Friday! Love seeing the vast array of art work, the glass studio is AMAZING! If you are into arts & culture and even if not, you can find so many diverse cultural and artistic talents here. Makes a great date night too for a non traditional “let’s go to a bar for a beer”. And reallyLooking forward to the possible renovations and upgrades to the building! ArtsQuest has done an amazing job adding to the community cultural! And tons of things for both adults and kids to enjoy. Thank you for this establishment!!

The name might sound odd but this place was indeed a banana distribution center when it started. As with much of the rust belt, the old industries went away but thankfully, the buildings were spared of demolition and eventually converted into art and performance spaces. There is a themed gallery at the ground level and artists studios at the upper floors, with some of their work displayed on the walls. You can even buy them if youre interested. Admission is free and parking wasnt a problem.

Outstanding community arts center offering classes and featuring local artists. There is free admission and limited parking on site. There is no free WiFi or restaurant/snack bar on the premises. Go upstairs and meet some of the artists who create such fine works. Bring your checkbook because there is always a work there that needs a good home like yours. The staff is friendly. Just ask them anything like restaurants in the area or what is coming next to the Banana Factory. This is one if not the only one of its kind to open in the nation. Many other converted factories across the nation have done what that Banana Factory has accomplished. There is a nice seating area outside but unfortunately offers little shade in the afternoon sun. Bring the whole family for an educational experience. Glass blowing is available also.

The Banana Factory is a vibrant community arts center in southside Bethlehem. Providing accessible art to the surrounding schools and organizations and working tirelessly to make arts and culture a central theme of Bethlehem. The Lehigh Valley would not be the wonderful place it is today without them. They have an awesome summer camp program and First Fridays are always a fun night out!

This great place is very much marred by its lack of parking. There have been exhibits or events Ive wanted to see but bailed on because parking is so atrocious. Especially on nights when PYT rehearses. Its kind of ridiculous that I pay a decent chunk money for my kid to attend classes and cant find a place to park over and over again.
