Always a joy, a great place to take your kids especially if you are needing to get your lil buddies out of the house. I would be lost if I didnt have the Bessemer Rec to go too. My boys are learning how to swim now. Something us African Americans need to do before we go to the lake. Truthfully

Love the park had a great time but watch out for the glass my granddaughter tried to pick it up.

Nice facility there in Bessemer. Went for a little kids birthday party. The facility was clean, large, up to date. Pool facilities were nice, the children enjoyed the slide and water volleyball. The gym are was very organized and clean as well. I didnt use the basketball court or outside area but it all seemed just as upkept. The locker rooms were also very clean.

Great place to walk, do water aerobics, enjoy the tread mill, and fellowship with smiling faces. I thoroughly enjoy myself each day.

They have it you just have to go again up and become a member. I did and its only $15 for adults. Im not sure what prices are for kids but I know a family of 5 is $40.00 A month with classes and $35.00 without.

I like it here. Always clean and good things to do.

The best Park and recreation center, in in West Jefferson county

Safety and Customer service are everything. The front desk is respectful and accommodating. The grounds and environment are extremely safe and well maintained. The equipment and the cleanliness of this facility is superb. The membership fees must be subsidized by the city, because they are very affordable, especially for a new facility. Come and check it out for yourself.

Its a great place to get physically involved. You can either use the outside of this place, which is the park that has a huge track, 2 basketball courts, 2 baseball fields, a big area where u can play football or soccer with some friends, two playgrounds, AMD restrooms. The facility is the main attraction. It costs 20$ a year for member ship. You can lift weights, run, exercise, swim, play eyeball, or basketball. Also, there are rooms inside for booked parties.

Great place to visit... they have fun and meaningful recreation opportunities for ALL!

I FROM BESSEMER AND THE REC IS FAIRLY NEW AGAIN ME AND MI FAMILIA HAD A BALL NO COMPLAINTS, WELL THERE IS 1 ONCE THEY LOCKED THE REC CENTER UP AND WE MADE OUR WAY TO THE PAVILION THEIR WASNT ANYWHERE TO USE THE RESTROOM WE HAD TO DRIVE TO FAMILY DOLLAR OR RELATIVES HOMES

Very nice and well kept, very good machines, pool and b-ball court. Something for everyone.

Love this place! The place is always clean. The equipment is up to standards. The only negative is they dont have personal trainers and you cant bring one in. .

I was at this facility for a swim party this weekend and everything about my experience their was nothing but AMAZING!! The facility was very clean and quiet even despite football activities going on outside. The lifeguards at the pool were the most engaging and attentive lifeguards I have ever seen. They looked like they were happy to be working and enjoyed what the do. I live in Vestavia and inquired about a membership and probably will sign up for one. This facility is well worth the drive.

Took my daughters girls club here for swimming. They had a great time!!!

Great facility for any sporting event. I used the upstairs indoor track very nice to run on. Little noisy when the course theres a basketball game going on. Great clean facility.

Its a nice place to work out and they have a outside Court walking track inside and out basketball court inside and out...I think its $20 to join to use the inside facility

Good clean facility. Great place for the family to go workout and enjoy the indoor pool with the slide.

Its a very clean and friendly environment. Parking is very accessible. Theres also a nice indoor & outdoor track with a tennis court. However, there are not many free-weights (i.e. squat racks, bench press, deadlift barbells). The indoor pool is also quite small & only goes to 5ft in depth. Nevertheless, it is a great step in the right direction for Bessemer.

This ia my absolute faborite gym. I travel to Bessemer often and to many hotels where i use the gym almoat each day that i am there but by far this is the pne of the best placea yo workout and even bring the family to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities. The cost cannot be matched for all that you are able to do. Full indoor track, outdoor path, pool, tennis and basketball courts.

If the people that came here cared about it, it could be really nice. The patrons trash it, mess up the bathrooms, etc
