In a time of social distancing the Susquehanna Warrior Trail provides a great place to enjoy Nature, relax and get in some awesome walking. The Susquehanna Warrior Trail extends from the Susquehanna Riverlands Nature Area to Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. The Riverlands Nature area provides some great trail options along with a lake for fishing.

This trail, Susquehanna warrior trail, should be rated roughness 2 for biking.The trail is nice and wide but has overgrown branches and high grass on the trail. There was a huge tree across the path which you could not ride around. The bikes had to be lifted over! As I read on Facebook, there are volunteers who are trimming and mowing on the upper portion of the trail. We did notice a great improvement at the end part of the trail. The signage is poor or lacking..if we didnt have the trail book, we wouldnt have known where to go at least 3 times. There was an old cemetary along the route. We also think we saw a coyote. All things considered, we had a great ride.

This was a beautiful park. Perfect to walk the dogs!

This place has really gone down hill. I cant believe that the waters are all full of algae and looks disgusting. Used to be exceptionally healthy and beautiful. I wont take my grandchildren there again.

Quiet, well maintained, and beautiful. Lots of people out enjoying the place. Fishing, picnicking, or just strolling around. A place to go to find some peace. Plenty of room for everyone to social distance and still feel part of a community.

Always loved this little plot of land when i lived in nescopeck. Just stopped by with my son to play in the playground . 1st time in 3 years.

Great little place to picnic , having a cup pk lo of grills and a pavilion.There is also a volley ball net and some nice open grasses.The bridges over the creeks are nice and the two ponds to fish in, are nice.Also the exercise walking routes broken into 3 different settings .

A great place to relax and let yourself at ease with a nice long trail along the water. I just wish the fishing was better

Very clean. Garbage cans everywhere. That are taken care of, not over flowing. A playground for children. Bathrooms. Fishing spaces. Bridges for viewing. Beautiful open fields. Picnic tables for family time to eat. Old style grills to use. Doggie stations. This is a beautiful place. The water is crystal clear. Theres little green plants on top but the water its self is see through. Its beautiful.

A great place to spend the day. There are picnic areas, walking trails, and plenty of spots for fishing.

Came here to fish after many people told me the fishing was difficult due to the overgrown grass. Being from the South, that is exactly what I look for. This spot is perfect for top water frogging. First day here I caught a 10.3 pound bass and the second day I caught a 5 pound bass. Park Is clean and quiet. There are giants in the water. Dont give up!

So clean, the trails are really nice to walk or ride bikes.great place for fishing! Only concern is, the sitting areas are limitted. Other than that, great place!

Very pretty, water filled with grass and what not to get your bait caught up real good. So needless bait is the best go.

Powerplant does not maintain lake at all. No weeds beginning on season in spring and by the summer you cant cast your line out without bringing in weeds in.

One of the best fishing places i have ever went to! It also helps if you like walking, since there is some nice long trails.

The trail around the water front was very nicely constructed, and fish seem to be plentiful. All in all its a very nice place to relax and enjoy the plethora of mosquitoes, though park guest should clean up after themselves.

What happened to this park.? We like to fish here but this 4th of July the water was so green with algae just couldnt believe the water was left to get that awful. Nobody was there and I could see why. This trip was so disappointing.

The bathrooms were closed and the closed signs were very easy to miss. We were trying to get a hold of someone to see if they could unlock them but couldnt. Other then that very beautiful place to be

This place has gone down so much since Talen energy took over. The grass is disgusting the landscaping is all overgrown and it is starting to look run down. When PPL was the owners they definitely took pride in keeping the park beautiful which kept visitors coming back. I can only hope that Talen gets their act together!

They dont take care of it anymore. It was dirty. Trash cans overflowing. Hard to find places to fish. I wish someone would buy it off Tallen energy.

I went on a canoe for the first time since I started going blind! It was crazy!!!! I have never been do scared, yet so excited. There are so many thing to do in our state parks, no matter what time of year it is!

Beautiful area nice views good for a nice walk , fishing is allowed however most of the waterways are covered in sea weed , making it a pain to fish instead of enjoyable. Turtles are fun to watch , playground is nice but not kept too well. Picnic areas are a win but the public charcoal grills are old and also not kept well.

So much to see and do. This is a great place to bring the family for a picnic. The info center is a great leaving experience for young and old. The nature walk is good year round (with the right footwear).

This location is usually better maintained than its current conditions. The grass was high but I can forgive that due to recent rains. The bathrooms were locked! Why offer bathrooms then keep them locked historically the bathrooms were open but not today July 28, 2018?? I saw doggy bags and recipticles for pet waste but no options for humans, why would bathrooms not be offered? It was quite interesting to read posted information about zebra muscles being an invasive issue at this location and it was sad to read becsuse of the negative effect on the water and habitat of the region.

Used to be a really nice clear lake to go fishing with the kids but we are here today 5/26/2018 and tell me how u fish in all green seaweed the whole lake is filled with it and the grass so high it used to be a really nice place so very disappointed

Recreation park open to public. Privately owned and maintained by Talen Energy. Unfortunately sub-standard maintenance of park and trails under the new ownership

Nice place

This is actually a great park. You can grill, go biking, walking, let your kid(s) play on the playground. And also you can go fishing in the Lake or susquehanna River. The park has plenty of parking spaces, benches and bathrooms.
