Open to the public. Great views. Not too busy during the daytime while school’s in session. Well maintained. You can even hike up the mountain if you want an extra workout!

Popular dirt track, but most everyone seems to know the basic rules of track running (inside is fastest, turns are to the left, if going backwards use the outside lanes of the track). Unfortunately there is a massive fence on the inside to protect runners from orphaned soccer balls which makes it a little tricky to tuck in for the corners when youre going quick.

When I was a student at UCB in the 70s, we used to run to this track, run it, and run home. It was the Deaf and Blind School track then. Being able to go there now brings back great memories. We called the hill to the track Heartbreak Hill, for obvious reasons. Love it.

Great View, fine track

Peaceful, removed from automobile traffic, tree-lined, peopled with mellow, focused work-out folks (and some contented dogs), this place is perfect for outdoor exercise or even meditation. Includes a gorgeous view of the Bay and the city!

Best place to run with a view

The track is a great place to walk or run. And best get a drink of water.

There are great views up here and it looks like anyone can run here even if you are not a student at UC Berkeley.

Quarter mile out door track watch out for people with dogs

Good mud track. Not excellent drainage when it rains.

This is an awesome place overlooking the bay for running.
