High quality work at a fair price (I got a quote of $700 at another jewelry store in Albany on Solano for repairs to a Hans Hansen silver bracelet. Bills Trading Post did an excellent repair job for $300). I dont want to short change Bills Trading Post for their vast and gorgeous array of jewelry for sale. They have a deep and stunning collection of Native American jewelry and a woman named Angella who is expert about this art.

I purchased a most beautiful neck piece a couple years ago and I always get compliments on it. It is a silver chevron shaped, articulated piece with a large Onyx stone set into the middle. Beautiful.

Ive bought treasures there since 1968, but theyve been hanging in there for our indigenous artisans since 1939! through all the turmoil of economies and Berkeley taxes, rents & other financial pressures. American Indian art, moccasins, clothing, blankets and jewelry etc. etc. go in and out of fashion, but always IN again. I hope & pray they survive the business cycles, as they are a beacon of spiritual goodness in this city. Native American spirituality is reflected in objects made in a spiritual way. These are. Its not just a crass commercial concern, its part of our community.

I have an amateur but extended interest in gems and jewelry. Having a comprehensive sense of the Bay Area jewelry industry (I have shopped everywhere, from SF to Palo Alto, Berkeley..) I go to the Gem Gallery to do basic custom work at a very reasonable price that is beautifully executed. They also have some gorgeous specimens - vintage and new that are not to be missed. Lovely, knowledgeable staff; highly recommended experience.

Beautiful jewelry with a lot of vintage pieces. Lots of stone carvings, Pendleton blankets, and they even replaced my Swatch battery. Good place for gifts with meaning.
