Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea
200 Artisan Way, Berea, KY 40403, United States

Review №1

Nice place. Easy to get to and not far off the interstate. Its larger than I was expecting as well and has a lot of interesting locally made items in the store. There is also food you can buy inside the store as well like locally made sorghum. All in all worth a stop if youre traveling by.

Review №2

Very convenient, clean and interesting pit stop. A good place to stretch your legs, get a bite to eat and buy some local art.

Review №3

Beautiful place. Amazing artisan items clean and friendly. Easy to get off and back on the interstate. The perfect break to stretch your feet.

Review №4

Hidden gem in Berea, Kentucky showcasing Appalachian artists and selling their artwork, from pottery and paintings to sculptures and handmade clothing. Its also a visitor center with public restrooms, and plenty of travel brochures to help you plan your vacation. Huge parking lot. You cant see it from the road but its the first turn off the exit, gps is very accurate getting you to the entrance.Definitely a great place to stop on your roadtrip through I-75 between Cincinnati and Lexington.

Review №5

Was expecting the usual roadside traveler’s stop. Was actually a really fantastic shop and cafe too! Lots of need souvenirs.

Review №6

Lovely gallery/shop for all kinds of arts, crafts and food of Kentucky, incluing a small cafe serving sandwiches, burgers, limited salad and ice cream. Menu seems to change with time of day, but food was very good, nice dining area provided. Parking is fairly spacious, with 12 RV spaces. Overnight parking is posted as prohibited.

Review №7

Very nice building and grounds that also acts as a kind of rest area. Green spaces for dogs (on leash) and restrooms are available. A cafeteria is located inside.

Review №8

We did just use it as a rest stop on our roadtrip, but it was actually really cool! It had weird art gadgets and candles and painting! Definitely reccomend!

Review №9

Great rest stop with shops and hiatorical items. Great place to walk your dog or stretch your legs. The bathrooms were really clean. If you need a quick stop to use the bathroom or a snack/drink this is a great location.

Review №10

Cool little spot full of tourist junk and those kind of things. And the reason I stopped, bathrooms. Clean and nice.

Review №11

Its a little out of the way - not directly on the highway - but well worth a couple of miles to see. Wonderful crafts and artwork. Clean restrooms. A nice grill/restaurant. Friendly people. Outdoor space to stretch out and relax. I visit every time I pass through the area.

Review №12

Looked like a wonderful experience. Sadly, they were not opened upon out arrival at 8:15 this morning. I hope we can try this again one day. Stay safe.

Review №13

What a fun place to stop into on our trip. Great music playing too. I took off a star because we were required to wear a mask upon entrance

Review №14

Great place to stop! Not your typical rest area. Have to go off the exit to the right, take another right, and get there in 3 minutes off the highway. Clean, shops to buy stuff, restaurant, etc.

Review №15

Stop here every time we go past. Happy to browes all the artistss wares. Weve purchase something about every other visit. Never been disappointed!

Review №16

Very polite workers and was great to be able to stop while traveling and use a clean restroom and have a clean space to change my daughters diaper. Cafe was closed and there wasnt much to choose from for a drink selection and no snacks, which shocked me for it being a traveler station. The building is beautiful though and lots to see if you have the time to stop and explore and want to stretch your legs after being in the car for hours.

Review №17

We always stop here on our travels to or through Kentucky. It showcases the local and folk artisans of Appalachian Kentucky and those who keep their craft alive.

Review №18

Its always a great stop on our trip to my parents. Nice to look around for a few minutes.

Review №21

Location was perfect stop for our drive with the kids. Because of our requirement for Social Distancing we were able to stop, let the kids sit in one of the many large grassy areas for lunch and not be near any of the other dozens of travelers there. The facilities were clean, the staff was very friendly and wearing masks for safety. It was very appreciated

Review №22

So impressed by this Travel Center! Its not just a restroom stop, it has shopping from local artist and a café. I pinned it on my calendar for future stops!

Review №23

Nice art and craft displays. Some unique pieces. Not a ton to do to keep you around for very long, but it was a pleasant experience anyway!

Review №24

A fun stop to view local artists work for sale.

Review №25

They had a ton of cool crafts in here. But no vending machines and one cafe.

Review №28

Worth a visit! We have stopped here numerous times on our way south. We really enjoy all the art and most the pieces are very unique. We also try to stop during lunch time so we can eat at the cafeteria...the food is excellent and the prices are very good. It is nice to eat and enjoy the art at the same time.

Review №29

A lot of art from Kentucky artists.Clean restroom.Nice service front desk.

Review №30

We love the place to recharge on trips to Cumberland Gap.

Review №31

This place is a nice little place to make a stop after driving for awhile. You can go for a walk. There are some bike trails. They have some fun art things, meats, sauces, jams, toys and books to purchase. A little expensive. We loved the $50,000, I cant really remember how much it was but it was a lot, horse but a little out of our price range. They have clean restrooms and a cafe to get some ice cream. Pretty strict on wearing a mask for covid.

Review №32

One of my all time favorite places to visit. If you are an Artisan, you will love this place. Artists from local communities show their talents using old time artisan skills.

Review №36

Its an awesome little stop with some really unique items. We stop by everytime we go through the area now.

Review №37

Lotsa artisanal Kentucky stuff. The bathrooms are waaaaay in the back. Good thing it wasnt an emergency. Still, not a bad place for a pit stop.

Review №38

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything is made in Kentucky. There are even items made from the local college students. I bought the Kentucky Bourbon balls, Kentucky Moonshine Truffles, Bourbon flavored Chocolate, Coffee Beans, and Gourmet Sauce. I had the Bourbon Balls before and they are great. The saff told me the Bourbon flavored Chocolate Coffee Beans are very good and even one person take them if they dont have time to drink coffee. Its a great place to buy a special gift for someone. Its also a good place to go for a walk.

This place is a great idea. It is a rest area, cafe, and arts center. I 75 can seem endless, so spending 10 minutes browsing through artists wares is a great way to refresh yourself after a lot of driving. It must be great for the artists because I dont know of many art galleries that get more traffic than this place! There are great handmade souvenirs and gifts and fun sculpture to enjoy!
