A nice place for a walk around the lake. Half of it is open and half of it is shaded. Weathering permitting, I go running here quite often. Apparently, its about 2 miles around the lake. Of note, you can take a paved trail from here to Crystal Bridges.

GORGEOUS, WELL PLANNED PARK!!! The paved walk/bike trail is 1.6 miles long, through trees, indigenous flowers, streams, 2 bridges, covered picnic pavilions, childrens play areas and lots of geese, duck & swan families to enjoy!! At the North end of the park is the INCREDIBLY STUNNING VETERANS WALL OF HONOR, designed by the acclaimed area architect - Leonard V. Watten!!! This is a NOT TO BE MISSED historical memorial!!! Its a beautiful nature park & trail with something for everyone to enjoy!!!

Its a beautiful place to relax. It has a walking trail as well as bike trails with various skill level trails. There is a bicycle fixing station. I was just needing a moment to think so I fed the birds. The geese where not letting the Canadian birds eat soi walked threw the muck to get in a place to feed the lost birds that were not being excepted into the flock. It is a wonderful place to relax.

Been there 100 years , ashame the Eco- Nazis want to tear down the lake on which the city was founded. Should be illegal? Destroy our history because the lake was wrongly given to Bentonville who has neglected it for 20 years. Contact Bentonville and let them know how you feel! It was pretty when cared for properly.

A relaxing, open park. The park has well made walking trails, is bicycle accessible, and had great childrens activities. For the adventurous soul, the nearby mountains hold excellent scenic hiking trails for the beginner, and additional mountain biking activities. The local lake is great for fishing. The park also hosts a veterans memorial with excellent history to be learned. It is also to be noted the park is accessible from the Razorback Greenway.

The walking trail loops around the lake. A great flat walk for the whole family; strollers, bicycles, skates and all. Connects with Razorback Trail. The NE side has a Veterans Memorial with fountain, and a playset with pavilion. Last time I was there, bathrooms were PortaPotty. Definitely not a swimming lake, but good for bird watching our feeding the fish.

Love the lake, 10 years ago.I find it interesting that the demise of the lake started as Bentonville P&R took over. It was once the location of THE best Disc Golf courses in the state. It was however, miss managed and left into a complete disarray. And eventually removed completely by Bentonville P&R claiming no one was playing, it is a utter lie. Even if the grass was knee high and 6-7 holes wasnt maintained during a large part of the year, people were still playing.Working people that is, AFTER they had quit their job for the day. You know, those silly people paying taxes. The HUGE brush of laciness they call Wild life habitat is actually a great way of saving money not having to pay for the upkeep. Who cares how it actually looks for the majority of the year, right? But what does this all matter, its not like its in Bentonville.Have a good look at the parks located in Bentonville and compare the upkeep to Lake Bella Vista, youll see exactly what I mean. There is a GREAT opportunity available here to the Bentonville P&R.Fill in parts of the lake and make the park larger. Implement some additional walking trails and repair the bridge(s) to name a few things.Oh, and reinstall the Disc Golf course. There was a lot of people coming from out of state to play on that course. And it just seem odd to remove a course that good when its the fastest growing sport in world. You could be a leading example on how to maintain and develop courses. Oh well, here is to hoping they will see the light. If thats not happening, lets just hope Bella Vista claims the lake back into their hands and bring it back to its former glory.Im only giving it 3 stars due to miss management of such a great opportunity.Should be a solid 5...
