Beautiful park along the lake shore, including 3 holes of Harbor Shores. Both natural dunes and grass as well as beach. There are bathrooms, a pavilion, and lots of parking that is paid via the Passport app, code 49022. A reasonable $5 for 3 hours or $10 for all day. Sand blows everywhere and youll see golf carts of locals driving through for sunsets. There are trails around the beach and connecting golf course.
Hidden treasure in St. Joe / Benton Harbor area and only a few blocks away from downtown restaurants and shops. The park has beautiful grassy dunes and large easy access beach.***Getting here was a bit confusing due to small or missing signs--or use a gps. If there is no gate attendant make sure to look for the payment kiosks and have your license plate number ready--there is a park ranger who tracks license plates that havent paid.
Great beach, good facilities, plenty of parking. The beach could use a good cleaning and its a little worrisome to not have lifeguards on duty with so many people. That said, there was good social distancing! More beach area than other local beaches.
The park is a great resource for our area. People love it and the wear shows this summer. Need more cleaning but resources are thin. Love to come with a cooler and grill here in the early evening.
Early October. Bright day in the 70s. We were there only people on the beach. Perfect.
We love this beach. Whenever Im in the area I stop and spend a few hours here. Lovely sandy beach! Plenty of area to get a spot by yourself.
Great beach to take the family! Tiny little playground thats great for younger kids. Massive beach area and perfectly sloped beaches for kids. Best beach/park in the area we thought. Make sure to pay for parking!!
Always beautiful. Out favorite beach in the area. Playground and bathrooms leave something to be desired, though.
Nice clean and secluded park, away from the crowds. Parking is pretty close to the beach.
We love this beach. The water is shallow pretty far out. The waters edge is close enough to the parking lot that you dont have to schlep your stuff very far.
The water was so clear and warm and the beach was beautiful. The sand was awesome, plenty of space and lots of parking. Great time
Very nice clean park very private also
Beautiful beach for the family or couples, I even watched a wedding here, however no dogs allowed and the management could definitely improve the bathroom cleanliness.
Not a very far walk from your vehicle, less crowded than other beaches in are.Could be more cleaned up from the debris. I realize this could be a daily chore, but if you want people to be there, it would be worthwhile.
We really enjoy this beach. Less busy than Silver Beach and overall quieter.
This is such a great, not as bisy beach with beautiful sunsets!!
Great park. Perfect sunset, bathroom was scary AF
Beach is almost gone. Looks great out there though.
Great place for a long walk on the beach and trails
Beautiful park, clean bathrooms, great beach walking
Very relaxing. Great view
Nice beach I guess but in mid-afternoon on a hot summer day like today it’s packed like sardines. Not enough room for a towel to lie down, let alone two.
Quieter beach, easy access from parking lot. Beware, two meters only, one immediately upon coming in and the other near the lifeguard station/storage.
Still lots of beach here, good facilities, backed by dunes.
Loved it, clean, not as crowded as other public beaches. Great area.
Awesome family friendly beach with close bathrooms.
This place would have gotten 5 stars if it werent for garbage people leave in the sand. Very sad Maybe few extra trash cans would help?
Clean and not overcrowded like Silver Beach.
We attended a wedding there, so beautiful.
The beach is bright and the water is vibrant the people there are very friendly and respectable as well brilliant place to be if you want a good time in saint joseph!
Nice park, not crowded but there is a lot of parking so I imagine it may get crowded at times. A lot of the beach is eroded away at this time because of high water but you can still comfortably walk along the beach and there is plenty of space to sit . We decided it was worth it to get a season pass. Ill be returning!
Small beach but that helps avoid overcrowding. We arrived really early and had no problem parking or setting up camp.
Very nice beach and a lot less crowded than silver beech during COVID
Nice beach not crowded and plenty of parking
We had a wonderful time. Love Jean Klock beach!!
Plenty of parking and room to social distance but still have fun!
Beautiful beach not overcrowded but still fun!
Love the beach! Nice, clean, but pricey fee
Beautiful beaches great place for kids
Clean and not crowded. Parking is reasonable.
Not a lot of people!! Nice for my granddaughters.
Very nice beach area and beautiful water
Peaceful but never too packed
Public Beach Area, parking and walkways to enjoy the view.
Best SAND...wiches in town
Not a close place for handicap individual, have to walk far not wheelchair accessible.
Wonderful beach and park that winds through the golf course. Great place to take the family for a walk.
Gorgeous and not too busy
You go there for the view!
One of the nicest beaches in St Joes. It has the necessities like a changing room and bathroom as well as some nice extras like a large patio space with benches, a playground and even kayak and paddle board rentals. It does cost money to get in but if youre spending a day at the beach then its worth it. Lastly, if you come on a weekend, its pretty busy and it could take awhile to find parking so come prepared.
Clean large beach, much less crowded than Silver Beach.
This is the closest thing I have seen to a beach. Sand is rather nice and not a snot bottom like other lakes and such I have been in while living up north. Good facilities for showering restroom and changing.
Good view of the lake. The employee we encountered was very friendly and informative.
Lots of room good beach
Fantastic beach, not too crowded!
Very clean, few people and milder waves, great for little kids.
Pavilion was very clean. Only 2 picnic tables though.
Beautiful beach. Clean beach, clear water. Sandbar is nice.
Great!!! Clean, nice changing rooms, ample parking spaces. A very good beach area. A small play ground for kids, with a swing set.
Nice clean beach. Designated beach area has swings for kids. If you go along the shore further down there isnt much beach front. Still nice! And they have showers!!
Nice peaceful and happy place for the family
Always more space than silver beach. If only people used the sidewalk..... good playground if needed. Changing area and showers are adequate.
Great spot. Clean and less crowded than other area beach fronts. Facilities were well kept as well and theres a nice shower area to rinse the sand off before leaving!
Always love a beach
It is so nice since Harbor Shores built the course on part of this park. It easy to access now and people are using it now as a beach!
They need a concession stand here!
Another fantastic beach in the St. Joseph Area! Its a relatively quite beach compared to Silver Beach and 2 miles away from city area. You may want to carry the food to this beach!
A very nice, very clean beach. Love that theres a stairway and a couple of dune trails.
Gorgeous beach. Nowhere near as crowded as Silver beach. Would have gotten 5 stars if the bathrooms werent so gross. Not that we needed it, but there was no snack bar.
First time on the beach and it was amazing
Better than silver Beach
Plenty of beach left. Nice large beach area with a pavilion, grassy dunes, and a pretty large parking area.Three is a play area for kids.$8 daily admission. Somewhat off the beaten path. Straight north of st joe on Main street to Klock road, then left to the park entrance on the right.Dont forget to like reviews and photos you like. This helps the reviewer.
What a gorgeous beach. So proud of my hometown. Hadnt been back there for many years.
First time ever to this park. Beaches and access are wonderful. lots of room to play and swim.
This park and beach is great. Tons of sand, close parking, and wonderful views. Grills allowed on the pavement which was the deciding factor for me.
Lovely beach.
Very nice spacious beautiful beach with bath house. Amazing access for Lake Michigan!
Big, Quiet, Developed, Connects 2 beaches, Perfect ️
