I don’t know who runs this place anymore but it is not family friendly place. It used to be that on the lap swim hours, we could come with our families together. Now though if your child can not “prove” to swim one lap then your child is not allowed in the pool until Saturday hours for families. Other than Saturdays you cannot bring your “unprofessional” child swimmers because it might irritate the “professional” lap swimmers. They only allow “professional” lap swimmers on lap swim hours because apparently non professional swimmers are in the way of lap swimmers. Where are the Christian family oriented values that this place once had?! If you serve only particular kind of customers than you should state so.

Very nice people, at front desk, on the phone, life guards and water aerobic instructors I interact with. I only use the pool. Very very helpful people. Pool and bathrooms/showers clean. Staff responsive to requests for changes. I highly recommend this YMCA!!My classes are motivating, and varied in intensity, which helps me want to keep coming and working out. They are FUN! And thats important to me. I always feel good for having done the work!

Really nice place for you and the family if you have more that might want to go get a workout in or maybe play some basketball or even swim.staff is always great the only thing I dont like are the pool hours. They only have open swim certain hours of the day and night. The workout rooms are huge with plenty space to move around They have an awesome basketteball court downstairs if you feel like shooting some hoops and they have a track above it to walk or jog on.

Nice facilities and equipment. Steve is a great personal trainer for us older folks.

Love this location! I could practically jog to and from the gym if I really wanted to - but I am not that committed to fitness yet so I wont. Nevertheless, the staff is friendly and equipment is clean and well maintained.

We go to water aerobics because of doctors orders, what good is is when the ramp to the pool is down more than up. we cant use the stairs and the lift is a joke.

I’ve been a part of this YMCA for about a year now. The main reason that I signed up with this location was because I wanted to play basketball. And every time I call and ask if the basketball court is open, the staff always tell me a time. when I arrive it’s never the truth. And there’s a volleyball practice that ends 30 minutes to an hour later. It’s just not fair for me to drive 20 minutes and wait for about an hour to play. This all could be avoided with better communication. So pleas guys ,know what the schedules are and stop lying about the time volleyball practice ends. I pay money to use the basketball court and I feel like I’m not getting my money’s worth.

Love the facility and the people working there. Not sure why equipment has been broken for over a month.

Friendly, welcoming place to work out. High quality instructors who care. I like the way it is a community-- you see all ages there. For a Silver Sneaker gal, its good to see the jocks, the kids, the moms and my own peers.

I love the variety of group exercises that motivate me to stay fit. Its a family friendly atmosphere and everyone is welcoming. I have been attending for over 2 years and will certainly recommend it.

The classes and child care are my favorite parts!!! The employees are always super friendly and the ground fitness instructors are awesome!!!!!!!!! It is a true family!

Everything else is great haven’t had any issues but the child care is full with very very rude staff and they do not have rules to hand out to customers which is ridiculous, my husband and our 3 children and I normally always go to the Y In lake worth and never have any issues with the ladies in the child care! I feel like there is always an issue any time my kids go to the child watch at benbrook and my kids are great kids if I didn’t assume so I would definitely not be leaving this bad review!!! Not to mention I hear how they talk to the children and It’s so rude and uncalled for they also told me my son wasn’t allowed In the child care due to him being over 10, which I get however, they had another child that was 10 in the child care. Also, my son advised me that nothing was done nor said to child who told him, “my mom said I cannot hang out with others who are not my skin color”!!! This is just ridiculous and I will not bring my kids here cause they are not being treated properly! They’re kids, I understand discipline but at the same time I dare one of these women be rude to me! They will not like my response!!!!

Well situated, with easy access in and out. My favorite is the swimming pool. Friendly staff and the business is very well maintained.

I just got off the phone with YMCA Benbrook, it was the worst phone call Ive ever had in my life. The lady on the phone was so rude and she didnt have enough information about the swimming classes, I told her from the beginning that I was NOT a member and she kept giving me the prices for members too and when I asked her about a price she mentioned for a non member she was too lazy to say it again and just said oh, its what I mentioned to you a minute ago. If you dont like your job and you dont like talking to people on the phone then just quit instead of being rude and mean to new customers.

Went there to an event. Receptionist wouldnt even move her arm enough to point the right was to the room. They have a nice, well-kept facility. I would visit again.

Great place.I have been a member for 3-4 years.Front desk is very helpful.Very clean.Very kid and elderly friendly.Only negative would be- that the pool and gymnasium (basketball court) can be used for various youth leagues, so plan on going early or late.

The YMCA is a place where my friends and I go to play basketball every Sunday.Every Sunday the court is always free.However on 4/14 the court was occupied by pickle ball.We showed up around 1 and we were informed by Claudia that it was going to be available at 3.So we stuck around the area and killed time.When 3 comes around we were informed again that the court was going to be occupied until later that day.All the usual basketball players showed up and we were all very upset by the lack of communication passed on by the ymca faculty and the occupants.All I ask is that next time there be a note informing the ymca members of a sudden change so there will be no sudden surprises.

Great gym

Ive been a member over 10 years. It has always been kept up to date, added to a few years ago. Benbrook is a town with a population of about 30,000 so this facility is certainly large enough. Staff has always been courteous.

Love the winscott benbrook y. Swim laps 3 or 4 times a week. If the weather cooperates soon Ill be back. I miss my swim and the swimming buddies I have. Lifeguards are sweet too

Save your money and go elsewhere. The staff is extremely rude and the hours are not convenient. I’ve never been treated with so much disrespect and lack of compassion. As a paid member, I’m absolutely appalled at the way this staff treats their patrons.

If you need a place with Childcare around Benbrook, this is the only option now that FFL doesnt offer it. We were members for 5+ years, but cancelled because parking is bad and the weight area is too crowded. Loved seeing neighbors and friends there though. Nice staff.We didnt use the pool, courts, or classes.

This place is always friendly. Always clean. And to the stupid person on here (no names) . I think you should skip the gym and go study a little more before you run your face. STDs are only transmitted through sexual acts and exchanged fluids with the exception of sweat (in some cases saliva as well, SOME, not all). To get herpes the virus must come in direct contact with the genitals, mouth, eyes, open sores, or cracks in the skin. Thanks for your time.

Ive been a member for 8 years. The Benbrook YMCA accommodates all ages. It is a very welcoming place with friendly staff.. Not to mention the up to date equipment.

Love the childcare and the friendliness of all employees.

I love the Benbrook Y. I think my only complaint is that I wish there were more class options in the mornings, but I go at 5:30a so it is pretty reasonable that there isnt . . . And the ones that they do have for that time are great anyway!

Possible to Caught an STD?!Its absolutely disgusting and they are breaking codes and laws. They do not have the wipes the majority of the time and they do not feel the need to report it. When I called this in; the man named Matt was very rude and hung up on me the second he got the chance. This is disgusting and nasty. They think that its fine if there are no wipes to clean up after other people or yourself; which means if anyone was to have an STD it can be shared through their sweat. They do not call in ahead of time to make sure that they do not run out of wipes they wait until the last minute when there are absolutely none for days; this is happened multiple times to me and my family and its getting ridiculous. They need new staff and more wipes. I am actually being generous and giving them a one star.

The facility is clean and the hours are good. However, most days, the large main area of the Y tends to be too warm.

Overpriced, low quality, & unorganized. The stuff is rude & unhelpful. All they care about is getting your money.

Loses 2 stars for having less fortunate children in the summer camp who bring unhealthy environment to the group [ kids who bring in ideas of violence, sex, race, hate]. Gains back 1 star for keeping less fortunate children off the streets.Loses 1 star for unclean swimming pool.Loses 1 star for unsafe parking lot. No surveillance camera despite car theft in sentences.Loses 1 star for not having wifi in the building....................... will contribute more when I get back to this..................................

Best water aerobics program and instructors I have ever encountered, and Ive tried several ever since my 1st hip replacement in 94.Dressing areas are cramped, but clean. Overall - A+
