This museum is bigger than you think! Boone County Historical Museum has a unique collection of local history and national history. The exhibits change from time to time so make sure you visit more than once. There is no fee for admission but accept voluntary donations to support the museum. We hosted a holiday party at the museum this evening and the event was a success. It is a unique place to rent for a private event. Highly recommend!

Such a nice hometown museum . It was a special experience for me seeing things donated by family members from long ago to the Piggly wiggly sign bringing back memories of my first job. This place is filled with so many great things from years past with so much information. A must visit for sure !

Very cool place, underrated. Everyone living in Boone county should visit. New exhibit on natural history is awesome. Especially for kids. Make sure to open the drawers!
