*Pre Pandemic Review* I like the layout of this theater. Its not too crowded and parking is always manageable. There is a line to buy tickets and a separate line to scan tickets online. Most AMCs in Maryland have that at this point but in my travels like in Orlando or Wisconsin there is one line to buy and scan tickets which is super inefficient. I like that the Soda machines are right outside the theaters to fill or refill. When I saw Angel Has Fallen and heard the movie next door at the end not sure what that was about.

Love this theater! Its the cheapest around and has the reclining seats. The staff here is very sweet and its rare that you cant get good seats. I highly recommend if youre in the area or live around here.

I came here for my birthday to see two movies back to back and it was a great experience. I didnt have a problem getting tickets or getting concessions. It was such a thrill. I was impressed by Sonic and Onward. They were worth seeing. However, I will not recommend doing this. After seeing the second movie my head started to hurt. Thats probably because I was staring at a screen for 3 hours or more. It didnt stop hurting until the next day. I recommend coming here but I wouldnt recommend seeing two movies back to back as I did.

Good place to take somebody on a date the seats are comfy. With time lets be honest more people will come but if you like private time wit your date not to many people in that room so. Good movie theater tho its a small one but good one. The bus stop is literally less then a 2 min walk. But about their food I cant say non Ive never bought any here only time I bought something at a movie theater is when I wanted water and paid like $8 for a 16 oz bottle.

Going to the theatre now is so cool..the whole new method of paying in advance choosing your seats and the incredable menue options...not to mention the actual movie....Frozen II was amazing...the seats ate comfortable...but if you are a little larger they may be a bit narrow...everything was clean, including the restrooms...and the volume was not too loud nor was it unbearably cold...we had a great time...and had snacks left over for later...

Great spot. A little tucked away so it isnt crazy busy when other theaters are. Staff is always great at their jobs, always kind, and frequently funny. I specifically drive past 2 other movie theaters to get to this one because of how much I like it. That being said if you prefer your chair with a tray then youll be better off elsewhere.

Great theater . Workers were great. Plenty of parking .Clean theater we sit in theater 8 went for the new year. Service was good would go back again. Of course food prices was a little high but this is at all theaters now days . Recommend if you liking for a nice clean theater too go see a movie.

Havent been here since High school..... and My my how theyve changed. The seats are really comfortable. The floors are CLEAN.... The employees are very nice and helpful. Its not packed with long lines so this is a place to go if you travel with a lot of small children.

Great theater. Clean. Frozen 2 was AMAZING! I/ we think it to be better than the 1st Frozen. Easy to find your theater. Restrooms clearly marked and family friendly. All around an excellent experience.

Good theaters. Love the reclining seats. These actually go all the way back and leg rest lifts up to become parallel to the floor unlike some locations. They do not have food service in the theater. But overall pretty good and well maintained and clean.

Live up the street and have the AMC monthly pass & get to see any 3 movies a week for about $20 a month. I get to reserve my showtime and seat ahead of time through the app. I also get discounts on refreshments. One of the best values around. I can use any AMC theater and see any format (IMAX, Dolby, 3D, etc ...) with no additional charges. And the cost of tickets around this area for the premium formats are around $20. Cant beat this deal in the Washington Metro area.

Nice revamp. I remember when this location was falling apart. Great renovation. Please eat before arriving. Its pretty much all microwave food

Me and my boyfriend went to see 1917. The chairs have reclining ability which was awesome and comfortable. My experience here was great.

My friend and I went to see a movie. It was a pretty late movie, and understand that they wouldn’t be selling anything at the time we went. However, the same employee walked passed us several times and didn’t bother asking what we needed help with. He just told us they were closed. That’s fine, but all we wanted was water. There was another customer in front of us in the line. We went back to our seats but the other customer stayed. 5 minutes later we see that same customer walking to his seat eating out of a bag or something. For future reference all employees should know to ask customers if they need help. Also, I know how annoying some customers can be. But if you don’t want something to repeat again. Stick to your word. You’re closed, you’re closed.

Nice theater. Good food. Drink counters pretty dirty and unfilled. Theater chairs look pretty dingy too.

This was my favorite theater till today. Got free passes due to theater not having AC about a month ago but you can’t reserve seats online with the passes. So spoke to a manager that said if I reserved seats online with my own money they can refund to use the passes once I got to the theater. The young lady trying to help us made a mistake and our reserved seat became open for others to purchase and left with no seats. She apologized and was trying to be helpful looking for other seats. I was upset because it was 8 seats and asked for a manager. Ended up being the same one I spoke to earlier and a complete jerk. Response was “oh well, I can’t do anything.” AMC should hire better people than Dominic to be managers. Someone that will take there jobs seriously and find ways to solve issues. He should’ve told the people that bought our seats that they had made a mistake and tried accommodating them else where. The whole purpose of me using my own money was to reserve the seats. But instead he was extremely disrespectful and not helpful at all.

Fresh popcorn, great soda machine, but movie screen had a shadow of the movie on the screen. Saw Frozen 2, but there was a shadow of the movie showing that was off centered. Also lights in the ceiling were not all out. Seemed like the lights were kinda messed up. This was for a new movie.

This theater is convenient because its close but the service is terrible, especially at the concession stand. The person who rung me up used one of my rewards I had been saving without my permission. There werent enough cashiers- there never are, especially on the holidays and the line was ridiculously long. Several of the soda machines were out of come as well and the bathrooms were filthy. Needs a lot of work.

Loved the popcorn. The seats are really comfortable. And its easy to navigate.

I love their Tuesday deals. I often go the Tuesday after a new release and see a movie for under $7.

3/29/19- 6:00pm showing. The movie was great. That was about it.There was confusion with the ticket-taker as they did not have a scanner to scan my phone as I purchased the tickets through Fandango. The cashier and preparer, refused to prepare the gourmet popcorn as I asked. There are three types of gourmet popcorn. You get your choice of two. I chose the caramel and the spicy popcorn. However I asked for slightly more camera than spicy. She said she would try. I did not understand this reply as it seemed like an easy thing to do. But when she handed me the container of popcorn it was not full. I questioned her. And she said that is the best she could do because of inventory. I said you have to fill it up or you can cancel the order. With an attitude, she filled the container up. Not overflowing, just up to the top. My wife and I look at each other in the amazement and walked away.The drink machines were not dispensing ice and many of the drinks were out of order or out of product.This used to be one of the nicer theaters in the area, even though it is old, it always had great service and was always clean. The bathroom was dirty. I cant imagine going back here again.

I personally loved the place .The only thing was that I didnt personally like was how the lady wasnt greeting happily. But I get it its a Saturday and when coming out of the booth I saw how dirty the other customers had left it. So I guess that would be another reason

Ive been here a lot of times even before the renovations and have never had a problem. Today I had to actually tell a manager about the lady beside us who talked during the entire movie even after myself, 2 other guest and the manager asked her not to. I did not enjoy the movie at all smh. Worst movie experience ever, she should have been asked to leave!

I love this theater. They have clean floors, reclining seats with foot rests, and friendly staff. We of course will have to overlook the outrageous prices at the concession stand inside.

My family and I enjoyed watching Lion King! The seats were very comfy and decent prices. We will be back again soon!

This theater has gone from a rough building to a clean and comfortable theater with the renovation they did some years back. The chairs are soft and recline, and people tend to pick up after themselves much more than they used to. Never had an issue with the staff. Its a small theater, but it always tends to have what you need to enjoy yourself!

My favorite Theatre by Far. the reclining chairs are the best and the actual food choices are great. The flat bread pepperoni Pizza and curly Fries are the best

AMC Powder Mill is closer than traveling down to Downtown Silver Spring Regal Theater and the prices is much fair and affordable. Parking is free, you cant beat that in this city. Yes, reclining seat, not a big a Regal, but very comfortable. The cleanness is fair, but I cant say its the theater fault. Its the people who goes to the theater, the adults who let their children drop food; pop corn, drinks on the floor, candy wrap on the floor. Its not all the children who nasty, its the adults as well. We should care about our community and keep it neat and clean, bathrooms and all. Clean-up after yourself, it something we should have leaned to do in own home.

Movie theater, with reserved seats. Has the reclining chairs. Typical movie theater prices on snacks and drinks. $6.49 for a large drink. Has the dispensers that you can add flavor (strawberry, vanilla, cherry, etc) to the soda.

I remember when this place used to be a local rinky dink theater. AMC did a great job in renovating this place. This is now my favorite go to local theater. Not too crowded (unless a major motion picture playing). Concessions have upgraded significantly in a positive way. I will check this theater location first for a movie of interest.

Went to a 10pm movie on a Saturday night and it was horrible. The staff was standing around on their phone, dancing had me waiting 26 minutes for popcorn. There was no toilet paper in the ladies bathroom. The floors were sticky. The theater seats were also sticky and food everywhere. Just terrible

Since remodeling relatively recently, the experience has significantly improved. Reclined seats with pre-selected seating and an updated look overall give this a modern feel on par with any nearby theater.

I love that my husband and I can see a movie before noon for less than one of us could see somewhere else. Clean, comfy seating!

Always a good time and theyve really mastered the art of the caramel/cheddar popcorn! Not too pricy either!!!

This is a NEGATIVE STAR. Service is TERRIBLE.There was 1 to no people getting tickets, a line full of people (12 to15 couples) at the concession stand, 2 employees working concessions, 1 employee working the ticket stands and your manager sitting behind the ticket stand watching her tablet. People waited 30 min or more for concessions and this is unacceptable. Customers service is very poor. Management, do better.NOTE: Some of your customers waiting at concessions waited so long they had to get tickets to the next movie.After reading reviews seems your #1 complaint is Customer Service and Concessions.

Been coming here since a child. This place has transformed drastically. One of my favorite places to go watch a movie as a kid and now with my own family.

Its a nice movie theater. I prefer it over Regal and other movie theaters mainly because of the recliner seats and the relative faster service. But I reccomend this place to people who like to reserve seats and especially people who like memberships because the rewards for AMC are amazing if you invest into the membership.

They wont hire me but I still enjoy this theater its close to home and very convenient

Not a very good theater. Parking is annoying, theater is small and staff was not friendly nor helpful. The theater was not cleaned up in between showings. I went during the week so maybe this is the third string staff, but still, they didnt seem happy that they had to work as I bought tickets and food. They were not responsive when I asked a question regarding food sizes. They seemed like they just didnt want anyone there. Overall, very poor experience, was not worth the cost. Go somewhere else, there are other theaters around the area.

I enjoy going to AMC Center Park 8 because its close to my home. I especially enjoy the assigned seating and I try to get the same seat every time. The best part about the seating is that they are comfortable and they recline !

Reclining seats!!! Thats just going to mess up your experience any where else that does not offer it. So comfortable you may fall asleep and have to return to catch your movie again.But all is not great here. I usually catch a late show and service is not the best after 10:00 p.m. Maybe because its the end of a long day for most of the staff, I dont know, but it can result in subpar service at the con session and ticketing booth.Altogether, I do like coming here for the comfortable recliners and their 3D offerings

The best thing there was the movie.Went to see baby boss Sunday, 4/2/17. Tired to order pop corn but the lady at the counter was like Oh, its not ready yet I ask when it will be she said Im not sure it could be a couple minutes or more I ask her if I can pay now and pick it up during the movie she told me well Im not sure if it will be ready at all Im like so its not working or a lot of people pre ordered popcorn before me she was like well we dont know if it will work okay so we were pressured into the nachos since nothing else was made/ working. If we knew that we were going to spend $55 on 4 nachos and 2 drinks we would have definitely ate first before going to the movies.

I love how comfortable the recliner seats are. Makes me feel like I’m watching movies in my living room, I like that.

Modern movie theater with assigned reclining seats that are super comfortable. Staff is friendly. Two dings: 1) They couldnt accept our AMC gift cards and 2) the host double ticketed our seats! Yup, despite a high tech seat reservation system, our seats were also assigned to another couple. Thats really unacceptable and created a lot of musical chairs shuffling.

Facilities were clean and comfortable. Staff is courteous and helpful. Good variety of snacks & drinks, at comparable price. App and self-service kiosk make purchasing tickets a breeze!

Nice smaller theater. Love that you can book seats online. Overall its a clean theater that usually has the movies you want to see. My only complaint is the concession stand. The customer service experience is not very consistent. Ive had very friendly people helping me and some that seem annoyed that Im even there. My last trip was the worst. They lady helping us was very rude and seemed super annoyed by us. All we wanted was a tub of popcorn and two drinks that we filled ourselves. So Im not sure what her deal was but it definitely made me think of going elsewhere if it happens again. Outside of that I recommend this theater if you live in the area.

The Theater was standard AMC, but the lobby was basic compared to other AMCs. The recliners were pretty amazing, however.

Perfect place to recline back and watch movies.. The chairs are awesome even though the sound system is a little outdated .Theater happens to be clean and overpriced just like I expected, only thing missing is for the owners to get their alcohol licence..

One of the better theaters Ive been to. Reclining seats with ample leg room, great sound quality, much cleaner than average, free and plentiful parking.

I love assigned seating. If you purchase tickets through Fandango, you can skip the lines and no need to worry about where you will sit. Concessions could be better. No coffee, espresso, or energy drinks. No alcoholic beverages either. However, the theater is comfortable and the experience makes you feel like you`re at home in your recliner.

The theater was nice. The previews are too loudWhen in line for food, they were very slow. When asked why someone said if I didnt like it I could get out of line. SMHReally!! Thats why places are getting rid of people and going to self serve. If you dont like your job, go find another one

Movie started at 750, but 720 as advertised. Waited in line for 15 mins watching peyote Walt right in bc I didnt pay extra money for a front seat at the concessions. Well never, ever go here again and strong I advise against it.

Chatting amongst themselves as I stand in the Premier Line waiting for their conversation to finish is unacceptable.Everything else was 5stars. Staff gets 4 stars.Comfy seats. Clean theater. Popcorn were fresh. Slurpee machine area was clean. Decent bathroom could use some smell good airfreshener.

The new menu looks amazing. All the classics plus a lot of surprise options. Yet Id prefer it if every visit the concession area didnt have so much clutter in the prep area. And the bathrooms could smell fresher and be cleaner. Overall though this is still my favorite movie theatre .

The wait for concessions is always extremely long. Ive stood in like for 20 minutes waiting for popcorn before when the theater wasnt even that busy. It doesnt even look like the staff are being lazy or slow, theyre just understaffed.Also, the walls arent soundproofed properly. I was watching a movie and during quiet parts I could hear the movie in the next theater over. Was extremely distracting and really ruined the moment.

One of our favorite AMC theaters in Central Maryland. Not necessarily the best theater around, but we love the reserve reclining seats, combined with discount prices for shows before noon. Best deal for watching a movie!
