Children’s splash pad is the best. The easy walking trails and wide meadows are great for getting outside with a stroller, bike, or your friends for a walk. The stream running through the park is serene and peaceful !

A wonderful place to spend a day with family and friends. You can do little hiking, suitable for kids too. More importantly you can bring your own grill to do BBQ, but you have to stay in designated picnic area.

Beaver Brook Reservation is right off the road but, easy to drive past. Once you park, you can walk a few paths/trails. Ive only visited this reservation twice, so Im really not sure what else they have to offer. I do enjoy watching & listening to the falls though.

The pond was almost empty, and that was nowhere near the worst thing. Walked over to the trail, and took the path to the left. When I got past the poison ivy to the stream, it looked nice (see 3rd picture) but the water was foul smelling. I went back up, avoiding extensive poison ivy, and took the path to the right. The walkway was heaved and collapsed, and very heavily overgrown. The second picture shows a nice view, but if you look carefully, you will see that most of the foliage is ... poison ivy. There is a great grind stone (3rd picture), but guess what is growing all over it?I am NOT going back.

This is such a beautiful park! There is plenty of shade for those hot days and a small stream for you pup to drink from. An asphalt path surrounds the main area, ideal for running and biking. Several benches are also made available. My dog, Ada, loves this area!Parking is a disaster after about 10am on the weekends, however.

Such an idyllic space - very serene and restful. There are a lot of dogs around, though its never bothered us. The kids love to play in the water of the brook; it is so nice: shaded and cool

Ry
Review №37

Some form of reservation with trees (in foliage 1/3 of the year, only), small rodents, several shades of green and brown, and mediocre views. Worth a visit for those who wish to escape the smell of spent fuel and burning rubber that exists in the city.

Sa

Sadly, this place is not maintained at all. Bushes along the path are completely overgrown, to the point where some paths are completely blocked off. Theres also a section at the start where they just put up a movable metal guardrail to block a path off where a bush has grown into. There is not much to this area, and the path to the waterfall is not much of a path. Its unfortunate, as the space is naturally pretty, but that means nothing when its hard to actually explore it. There is a nice field with some benches for picnics, at least.

Great water park that turns on the water earlier than most places in the area which is wonderful for those warm days before school ends. Lots of pavillion space to accommodate several birthday parties if necessary. I like that the playgrounds to the side are close to each other so its easy to keep track of multiple kids. Its pretty clean and there are legit bathrooms! Parking is a pain but if the lot through the park is full there is street parking close by.

Great park for kids! Splash pad is large and the ground is the soft material that prevents falling injuries. There are rocks for sitting that one needs to be careful of though. A variety of play structures for different ages and a large shade are for adults!

Sa
Review №53

Lovely place for a quick stroll but there are tons of areas of neglect. The path to the bridge is filled with potholes. There was a tree that fell on the bridge. This makes biking a danger and housekeeping maintenance is lacking. It’s s beautiful spot with a small dam and stream but I hope service upkeep comes around soon. it has potential to be a beautiful place to visit with the family.

Great place, two parking lots off Waverley Oaks Road between Trapelo and Road to Bentley. A baseball diamond, a large open field on the other side of a valley and ridge, a wonderful Brook, and over a bridge to a newly refurbished sprinkler park. Lots of fun for all ages. A paged walking and exercise trail, a few hills, and lots of unpaved trails. Pleasant glens, wetlands, some wildlife.

Tons of dogs here. There is also a great splash park and playground, and a few picnic benches scattered around the park. The park is kept very clean, and usually there is a brook flowing through it, though it tends to dry up towards the end of the summer. Lovely place to sit and read or just people/dog watch.

Ma

Nice park in two parts, divided in half by Trapelo Road. The northern part has the millponds and dams. The southern is more open and turned into a sort of a very nice dog park.

Review №86

Take the kids to escape with the kids and not have to worry about a deep end at the spray deck. Big kids gravitate to others for water fights while the little ones are content to splash and play as well. Shade can be found at the trees that edge the spray deck and under the pavilion picnic area. Plenty of green space and places to run, picnic and play.

There are three completely separate areas to Beaverbrook Reservation. On Mill Street Belmont do not bring a dog.. On Trapelo is the childrens water Park and on Waverly there are two parking lots more for dogs.. One is right on Waverly and one is next to the tennis courts in Wilson Road.. The upper field (Wilson) is best for crazy dogs while the other leads to a big open field that then connects easily to the water park. Not much nature here pretty blighted. And nearby is industry thats polluted the water on the Waltham side. Great for dogs.
