RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!! I attended my nieces wedding here and witnessed the most appalling behavior and thievery!! The owner Jo Jo was rude, unprofessional and a crook! She managed to single handedly destroy what was supposed to be the day every little girl dreams of. She promised to be there to set up for a reception that was supposed to start at 5:00 by 1:00 pm. She didn’t show up until after 4:00 adding unnecessary emotional distress to a day that should have been a dream come true. Open bar was paid for and we were charged for apple juice! I am sure drinks were mostly water and not alcohol! Then before cake and dessert were served she demanded more $ to pay her staff. Has this woman ever heard of a contract?! This newly married couple already paid for services they received which were poor. Then they never got to have their wedding cake and other desserts or the last dance. When they refused to pay more $ she instructed her staff to close everything down and started taking down decorations. In effect, she was holding their wedding hostage to get more $. The bride was crying on her wedding day all because of this black-hearted, money hungry thief! Save yourself the heartache and pick a different venue!!!

I would suggest looking elsewhere for a venue, for your event. I recently attended a wedding here, and the owner/ Maitre D was very unprofessional. She wore a jumpsuit, and was very unpleasant. At the end of the wedding she told the bride that she needed an additional five hundred dollars, because she couldnt pay her employees.

If there was an option for negative stars I would choose that. The woman running this facility was absolutely unprofessional, late, and a con artist. I was a part of a bridal party and saw first hand how this woman JoJo treats customers. She did not deliver on several things which I personally witnessed her promise the bride. This woman arrived 30 minutes before the wedding was to begin with the TABLECLOTHS. We had to scramble to arrange the tables before guests began arriving. The bride was so upset at the beginning of her big day. But the biggest problem was at the end of the reception, just before cake was served, this woman had the audacity to ask the bride and groom for an additional $500.00 claiming she could not pay her staff. Im pretty sure as an owner, if you cant pay your own employee, thats YOUR problem. As such, the bride began crying and getting emotional. All of the guests went to defend the new couple and in return the staff began shutting down the party, removing decor and NEVER served the cake or deserts. At that point the best option was to take the decor and dessert and leave. Upon doing so, an elderly guest had picked up an item he had assumed was a part of the centerpiece to assist in clean up. This woman JoJo went up to him and tried to yank the glasses out of his hand without a word. He did not release the cups as he thought they were the brides and JoJo gabbed this man by the shoulders. DO NOT HAVE ANY TYPE OF CONTACT WITH THIS PLACE. Save yourselves the money and awful experience.

Had my wife’s 40th Birthday there back in July. What a great experience. The entire staff was great and extremely helpful with preparation.Joanne the manager is so nice and helpful. Everything went perfectly. All my guests were asking how I found this place. thank you for a great party and easy experience.

Been he twice and both times were great.

The place itself is nice and could be used as nice place for birthdays. However, the woman running it is abrasive and rude. It definitely off put me ,when I considered having a party there. She tends to complain a lot and seems way too stressed out to be running the place. Maybe she was just having a bad day, idk . A big grievance I have when I go see a movie and there is a party in the loft, the music can be heard throughout the theater below, which definitely disrupts the experience. Overall, its a nice theater but I dont think I could ever have a party there.

I just had my big birthday party here and it was a great experience. First, Joann is extremely responsive and easy to work with. I came to see the place multiple times before my party and she was always there to greet me or had someone from the movie theatre let me in. The place is beautiful. I was able to get in 3 hours before to decorate and the room came out beautiful. I was extremely happy with everything from start to finish. I only wish I had gone with the Piccolo package instead of a different restaurant to cater but that was my fault not theres. Joann also got in touch with all my vendors to confirm all the times, that was a big help too. I recommend The Loft at the Bellmore Playhouse for any event or party you are throwing.

The Loft hosted my sister’s baby shower and it was amazing. From the staff to the owners I was extremely impressed by there hospitality...not to mention JoJo was very professional. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this location for your next event because you wont be disappointed!! Best experience, I love this place !!!!

I wish I could give this place and the woman who runs it 0 stars. Joann who runs it is extremely nasty and unprofessional. We had my daughters baptism at the Loft in April and it was a disaster. She double booked the room (which I later found out happened to a friend of mine months earlier) so we couldnt set up for the party until 10 minutes before guests arrived. She made us wait for appointments and was extremely rude throughout the entire process. I felt so uneasy leading up to the event date because she was so scattered and not trustworthy. She refused to return our security deposit after we requested a partial refund for breach of contract. The contract stated that we would have access to the space to set up 2 hours prior to the start of our party. Again, there was another party already there. She also claimed that we had more guests than we actually did, which was not true at all. Im pretty sure I know who was in attendance and my kids baptism. Overall, the worst experience ever. We had to threaten to take her to court for our deposit and my husband had to go down there and refuse to leave the establishment until she finally gave it back. Save yourself the headache and I highly recommend that you DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE!

Had my wifes 50th Birthday party at The Loft. The room was beautiful and the staff was professional. Very accommodating and fulfilled all our needs. Thanks to Joanne and staff.

Nice place, but no way for anyone who cant walk up a steep flight of stairs to get in to.

If I could I would rate this atrocity of a business ZERO. The woman who runs it goes by the name JoAnn and she is by far the nastiest human I have ever met. She was extremely rude to me while in the booking process which thankfully put me off from booking my sons party here. When I came to leave a deposit at the time we agreed upon, she wasnt even there and I was told by the manager downstairs that I could wait for her while watching the end of a movie. I dont want to watch a movie I want to leave my deposit and leave. Completely unacceptable, especially since we agreed upon a time. Not to mention when I came to see the room she wasnt there again and I was shown the room by a downstairs manager who was very nice (a girl with brown hair I cant recall her name) but she was not able to finalize anything with me without JoAnn present. Not to mention the way friends of mine speak about the place. When they came to see Bad Moms this crazy lady JoAnn stole their alcohol and refused to give it back. Saying they had to by drinks upstairs when the wine was for a raffle basket! Crazy!!! I thought I could give this place a shot because it is nice up there but JoAnn completely ruins it. Such a shame how unprofessional and nasty she is!

The owner is very rude. Do not come here they doble booked parties the same day so you literally get kicked out of the place. By the way I feel so bad for the employees she was yelling at them it was a mess.
