My wife and I have stayed in the Lighthouse Suite two years in a row for our anniversary.WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.Unbelievable service and quality. Atmosphere is unbeatable. Social-Distancing protocols are perfect, EXTREMELY clean establishment. Post-COVID, professionally safe business to frequent. If you eat at their amazing restaurant, youre in for a treat.. Especially if you get Kestrel for your waitress. Shes a gem! TOTALLY cool woman that will have you smiling and laughing with joy:)

Good location and staffs. Rooms are very well maintained, decorated and designed. The fitness center is just a room and away from the hotel and no swimming pool. One star away due to their not consistent way to mark food ingredients correctly, like items marked as vegetarian had chicken in it. Fantastic running stripe for the morning and downtown is at walking distance.

We havent even left yet and I can tell you this place is amazing! From the manager, front office and room service staff this hotel is just what we needed for whats been going on. Very clean and well appointed rooms, entertainment outside our room, professional room service employees and very friendly and helpful staff. The view from our room (209) is the best. We are having a great time. This hotel is highly recommended. You wont be sorry. We will be back...no question!

I liked the Hotel Bellwether. Certainly, the views from our room were magnificent. It was a five star stay for us, although the Hotel Bellwether may not be a five star hotel when comparing hostelries around the world. Our second floor room was large, with a pleasant balcony overlooking Bellingham Bay and the islands. The room’s architecture was almost a twin of our room at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville. Strangely, they each had an accordion window over the tub looking into the bedroom. I don’t get the design. Even the electric fireplaces were in the same location. However, at the Bellwether, we were in the main building withunderground parking. That was very convenient. In addition, the groomed paths and walkways, in and around the marina, were lovely with lots of choices for food or drinks.Service was professional, but soulless. When I tried to engage with the front desk, they actually went silent. It was almost rude. Communication was odd, at best. The front desk explanation about how to get to the garage, made me feel as if I had to drive to a different county. The garage was right under the hotel. They forgot to mention that.Staff at the restaurant in the hotel also found communication difficult. We asked the “front” at the restaurant if we could have a table outside for drinks and snacks on Friday evening. They said, “Let me see what’s available,” and walked outside. Five minutes passed, ten minutes passed, we finally gave up and went back to our room.Yet, I will stay at the Bellwether again when I return to Bellingham. Those views are priceless and worth the more than $750.00 I paid for a two night stay. I really liked the town of Bellingham, which had a ton of stuff to do in town and around, in spite of the insidious Covid virus. I realize staffing is next to impossible these days and entire generations of Americans have lost the art of communicating. Technology has not helped nor endorsed social interaction. Soon, we will be a mute society and will have machines communicate for us, void of all emotion and soul. Won’t that be fun.

This was my 2nd stay and it was still fantastic! What I love: The staff is amazing! From the Front Desk to room service to housekeeping - all greatYou cannot beat the view of the marina. The rooms are large, clean, quiet, and bright - they even had slippers! Did I mention the bed pillows were delightful? The room service was super fast and terrific, and there are additional great restaurants right there! Parking is free and secure!Whats not to love about Bellingham? I will happily stay there again!

It was easy to get a room but the price of 209$ for a basic room was a bit steep for not getting much of a difference than Marriott Hotel on Meridian Street. Had a good night and didn’t have any problems but when checking out I noticed they charged 431 dollars instead of the 209 which was agreed, completely screwed me and will never go back. Go to a different hotel trust me.

The room was quite large. It has a little balcony with chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Service was friendly and accomodating. The interior is starting to feel a bit dated. Our fireplace wasnt working and they couldnt fix it so they discounted the room 25%. The jetted tub is actually just a tub that spits out air bubbles. It is very large though and comfortable for 2 people. It feels like the place is kinda going down hill. On a positive note the bar was fun and had some great live music and a working fireplace! And the parking is free. For a $300plus room you can do better...

Very nice hotel in a great town. Love that they are pet friendly and they are very accommodating for those of us that travel with our dogs. There are a couple of upscale restaurants within walking distance. We had a first floor room, with a gas fireplace, that overlooked the marina. Clean room with very nice grounds and provided a great nights sleep. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were impressed by the spacious, cozy layout of the room and were surprised by the novel window wall that separated the bathroom from the bedroom. It was nice for us to be able to open up the shutters and watch tv or talk to each other while in the bath, though it made using the restroom for more private use humorously awkward at times. Our only issue during our stay was being woken up one morning by loud banging and noise that seemed like construction work (i.e. saws, hammers, etc.) Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

My husband wanted to rent the lighthouse suite for us this weekend. He booked it and paid for it. Three days later, he goes into the Hotel Bellwether and they tell him they aren’t going to let him have that room, without a reason. He talked to the manager and changed his mind about letting us have the room, my husband left to the bank to put more money in his account. He gets back to the hotel and the manager then stated he changed his mind and isn’t going to let him have the room. Terrible customer service! There wasn’t any reason we shouldn’t have been able to book that room. My husband even offered to pay extra. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from the Hotel Bellwether!!!

We stay here for 2-3 nights, same time, every year for the past 4 years. We have always enjoyed our stay and have never had a problem or complaint. The noise from the vent was so loud it was hard to sleep. We requested a room change the next morning and luckily there was a room available. The front desk was very accommodating and understanding, which we appreciated.I went to the bar and found the bartender to be somewhat annoyed when I asked her question about a particular wine. She also made a comment and assumed that I wasn’t staying at the hotel. I wasn’t dressed up because we just finished walking our dogs in the wind and rain. Perhaps that’s why she wasn’t friendly? Regardless, no excuse.

WE liked the large room with a fireplace and the size of nite tables plus the dining room with a beautiful view. However, we found this lovely Hotel needing a good cleaning. For example, the shower stall had moulding around the ceiling and between the tiles, in fact the room appears scruffy. The wine classes were left with lipstick on them. The Room Maid did not bother to place cleaner glasses. The elevator was really scruffy and construction debrises on the carpet.

Hotel Bellwether was a fantastic stay. The room was well appointed and the views of the ocean were fantastic. The only real qualm I had was the shower, it was rather narrow, and the water pressure was lacking. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but it was a bit of a headache trying to get shampoo out.Overall would stay again.

Weve stayed at the Bellwether intermittently since 2002. We were doing a pre-Covid getaway before the gates of Hades open up. The hotel was immaculate, as usual, and the day and night staff were very helpful. The view from the third floor was beautiful. You cant beat the Pacific NW on a clear crisp day. My ONLY gripe was no soda in the mini-bar. We are tea totalers and after a hard night hike snowshoeing to Artist Point... Come on! Give us a non-hootch option, heck, you are going to charge me $$ for it! Still beautiful. We will be back. We love the Chrysalis, but the train 50 feet from your room intermittently thru the night gets a bit old.

Lovely hotel in a nice development. Better to face the water than the parking lot like our room. The hallway was very cold but since it was on the weekend there wasn’t anything staff could do. Room was toasty and fireplace was nice to have. Our bed was comfortable but on top of a frame that was pretty high off the ground so wouldn’t be great for someone with mobility issues. We weren’t impacted but giving others a heads up.

Everything about this place is exceptional. The front desk check-in experience Was perfect. I wish I could remember her name, warm welcome with great suggestions about Bellingham in general and fun and interesting things to do in the hotel. The room (absolutely spotlessly clean) had an incredibly comfortable king size bed and was amazing with a sunken living room and large spa all facing the water over a nice sized balcony. Sunday nights they have a very nice live jazz show in a small intimate room off the main lounge. The entire staff was friendly, had smiles on their faces, and constantly asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. This was my second time here for a romantic getaway weekend. *****Very highly recommend the Bellwether Hotel!!!
